“Stupid, stupid, why did you say anything,” Jordan said to himself. He wasn’t prepared for just how fast the
mammoth cat could move. In a split second, the cat had lept into the air and onto the chair. As it meowed
towards Jordan it sounded simply thunderous. His heart was racing as a kind of fear he had never felt before
enveloped his being. He fell backward his back slamming against the marble countertop as the cat leapt once
again this time onto the countertop with Jordan. As he looked up at the cat he could barely put together a
thought he slid his back across the marble countertop.
“Listen, I’m a person. This isn’t what it looks like.” Jordan says through stammers and stumbles. The cat seemed
not to care and was disinterested in anything Jordan had to say. As the cat moved closer Jordan could smell its
breath which made his nose crinkle as his eyes remained transfixed on the giant feline.
