Jordan once again glanced in the direction of the kitchen. He didn’t want to admit it to himself. However, he wished Sara had stayed with him at this moment. He could feel his pulse race quicker and quicker as walked towards the edge of the coffee table he was set down on and looked towards the floor. A wave of nausea hit him as he looked down causing Jordan to backpedal rapidly from the edge as his fear of heights kicked in. It was when Jordan picked himself up from the ground he saw what he assumed had been making the noise. At the opposite end of the coffee table, a giant spider stood.
“No, no, no. This isn’t happening.” If Jordan were to rank his fears heights would be number one which makes this shrinking experience that much worse for him. Number two would solidly be spiders. He grabbed his head in fear as gazed at the giant-looking creature.
“Do spiders hunt?” Jordan said aloud to himself unsure exactly what the protocol was but as far as he was concerned that was a giant killer crawling up. In his mind he pictured himself trapped in its web as it wrapped its webbing around him before devouring him.
“I need to get out of here. Where the hell is Sara? I’m so stupid. I’m in way over my head. She was right. She was 100% right. Habitat great idea, watching me dress stupendous fucking idea from where I stand right now. How long does it take to feed a damn cat? Where can I hide? Her purse is zipped up tight. I could maybe get inside but not without causing ruckus and drawing more attention to myself. It’s way too high to jump down from. I’d surely break something from this height. My best bet is those books for now. If I can get over there maybe I can hide. As best case scenario it hasn’t seen me yet and Sara has to be coming back soon.” Jordan said to himself
