Jordan could feel any semblance of authority he may have had drain out of him as he scrubbed the cloth over one of her giant fingerprints successfully removing the print from the screen. The crunching of the teenage titan as she ate her cereal was the only sound that filled the room. He could feel her gaze on him as she ate her cereal. It was a bit unnerving. It was like your boss watching you work.
“What?” Jordan said breaking the silence. “I feel like you’re judging me.”
“I didn’t say anything. I’m not my mother. Where I point out that if you scrub from top to bottom you can avoid leaving any prints of your own on the screen. I said nothing just letting you work.”
“Fine, I will clean from top to bottom.” Jordan huffed as he adjusted himself to clean the phone from to top bottom as Sara suggested.
“I didn’t say you had to. But since you did see how much better it’s working. All your little prints get cleaned off too. And I don’t see why you are so upset. Is it the shrinking thing? As I really thought we had moved past all that. It feels so yesterday.”
“Yes, it’s the whole shrinking thing. My life literally ended.”
“I know what that’s like. When my best friend Mallory started dating my best friend Gavin I totally felt like my life was over too as it felt like it would ruin our friendship. But I learned over time it changed things but it didn’t ruin anything. Then he shrunk which is sort of funny as he is one of my best friends so I can say this. But he is sort of a dick sometimes. He doesn’t mean to be but he just isn’t observant of a person’s needs sometimes. So seeing him with Mallory now is super funny as she’s very organized, scheduled, and very controlling. Not nearly as go with the flow like me.”
