Jordan continued cleaning the phone screen as Sara at her cereal. He hated how it all came back to how meek he was. How he was stuck in this giant world. Trapped as an invalid. He couldn’t even completely argue against Sara’s points as she wasn’t wrong. Jodan knew it was impossible for him to take care of himself. The spider incident was a painful reminder of how vulnerable he was. Jordan remained silent as Sara dumped her dishes in the sink.
“Don’t let me forget to rinse those out and put them in the dishwasher when we get back. I don’t feel like hearing it from Mom.” Jordan nodded obediently. “We need to go to your house and take or at least mark what we don’t want to be liquidated. I emailed the people referred by the hotline last night. They will be over tomorrow or Tuesday.”
“My home, my stuff, you can’t just, just sell it all. It’s all I have. I worked so hard for it.” Jordan argued trying to wrap his head around the idea of everything being sold off.
“We aren’t getting rid of everything. We can keep what we want. But, if we don’t need it we might as well sell it. Besides, think of this as us starting a new life together body hottie.” Sara said as she picked up her phone and Jordan headed to towards the garage grabbing a cardigan and her bag from the coffee table on her out to the garage.
“A new life together? Like were married or something?” Jordan said in a questioning and confused tone.
“Uhhh no. Like my friends and I call you body hottie for a reason. So obviously physically there is some attraction. You obviously saw us gawking over you. I just umm meant we are starting fresh from today is what I meant.” Sara said stumbling over her words as she slid on a pair of old sneakers she had sitting by the door. “So when we get to your place we need to move quickly as I’m sure you have a lot of stuff and we have to go through it all,” Sara said more confidently as she changed the subject.
