“They are going to find out somehow, and then I will be homeless. I just know it.” Jordan stated
“They aren’t going to find out, and besides, I would be the one in trouble with them. Mom would ground me, and I would punish you. See how that works. ”
“Yeah, the shit rolls downhill system,” Jordan muttered to himself.
“Also, just a minor correction, teensy really, but remember yesterday when I told you about how I saved you by joining the guardian program and agreeing to care for you instead of shipping you off to the slave mines of Kessel. Well, your assets sort of became my assets because, legally, you are considered tangible personal property, and according to Google, its property that can be touched like clothing, vehicles, pets, etc. This changes nothing between us other than the fact we’re calling this my car.”
“This has to be a misunderstanding. I can’t be your property, and how are you just telling me about this now?” Jordan fumed.
“Well, it seemed like a lesser point, and I honestly didn’t know what it meant till I googled it last night. But this is why I’m the responsibility master. Look at me googling for your well-being, reading up so I can be the beacon of responsibility your life needs. I fully accept your thank you.”
“No thank you was given!”
“You sort of implied it. So you’re welcome.” Sara said while closing the car door.
