Jordan was lifted up briefly before he felt Sara’s hand descend downward while her other hand rustled around in her purse. He could only look on helplessly as she pulled a scrunchie from her bag.
“You can sit in this, and it should keep you from being thrown around,” Sara said, dropping the scrunchie down onto the car’s center console.
“I’m not using your scrunchie as some kind of seat, and I won’t even be able to see anything,” Jordan whined as he was dropped onto the massive scrunchie.
“Fine, you can sit up on top of this storage thingy. However, if you fall off even once, I will secure you into the cup holder with my scrunchie.” Sara said while picking Jordan up and raising him to sit on the ledge of the storage unit built into the center console.
“Here we go. You have nothing to worry about. I’m a very responsible driver. You know I should give you my phone for when I’m driving. Who needs a hands-free set when I have you to read any messages I get, and then you can dictate responses to my friends. How many words can you type a minute? Oh I’m sure you know this song. It was all over TikTok for a minute. ‘ABCDEFU and your mom, and your sister and your broke ass job.’ Sara sang “I’m sure you know this one.”
“I wasn’t huge into TikTok sorry.”
“Oh, you didn’t even come across it on snap or insta?” Sara questioned as she tried to hide her surprise.
“I usually just called my friends or texted them using the iPhones built-in features.
“and you want to be my personal assistant as I drive? You better study up tonight in your habitat.”
“Well, I didn’t ask to be,” Jordan mumbled under his breath.
“I couldn’t hear you. What was that?”
