Jordan struggled to see where Sara was driving too. As he looked over at the giant teenager, he couldn’t help but feel like an accomplice in some kind of illegal activity. He knew she was technically correct, and he was a licensed driver, and she did have her permit. So this was how the system was supposed to work. But he couldn’t help but feel like this was some kind of loophole, and he was never one to exploit a flaw.
“You did a good job picking out this car. It fits me like a glove, and the seat is comfortable too. I always pictured my first car being something smaller like a Mini Cooper, but this is nice. Now I will be able to take you to any little appointments you have easily. I’m a genius. I don’t hear you agreeing with me. Don’t you think so?”
“Ugh, sorry. I thought it was a rhetorical question. I mean, who else would have thought of this loophole.” Jordan said, attempting to acquiesce to her.
“I sense a little sarcasm in that statement, but I appreciate it. I like that you feel comfortable enough to joke around, and this won’t work if you’re always so buttoned up. So, we are going to pick up my best friend, Mallory, and Gavin. Her boyfriend Gavin caught the virus, and he was one of the earlier cases, so he has lived with this longer than you. I want you on your best behavior Body Hottie. If you embarrass me in front of my friends, I swear.”
“Hold on; I didn’t agree to this.”
