“Dayton, as I explained before. You’re not in charge. If you don’t believe me let’s go over and ask Sara. She will explain the whole thing.” Jordan said while trying not to show that he is annoyed.
“Or, we can settle this ourselves,” Dayton said as she released her grip on Jordan. He felt himself falling but knew she had crouched down so he wasn’t terribly far off the ground. He was just trying to get himself in a position where he could land and not get hurt when he felt a pinch on his ankle. A moment later the pinch turned into a vice grip. He cried out in pain briefly as he swung an inch or so off the ground.
“Ouch, Dayton you’re hurting my ankle. You’re pinching it too tight. Would you stop please all the blood is rushing to my head and I’m starting to get dizzy.” Jordan yelled
“So the way I understand it is Sara is in charge of you right?”
“Well I wouldn’t exactly put it like that but yes she holds a certain amount of sway and authority,” Jordan said.
“Right, and now if let’s say I give you a movie to watch. You are responsible for the movie while you have it right?”
“Of course Dayton if you borrowed me a movie. I would be responsible for it while I had it. Now, look please just put me down. I don’t see what this has to do with anything.”
“So Sara, who is in charge of you? Gives you to me to play with. That means who is responsible for who because you said if I give you a movie. your responsible for my movie while you have it. So then…” Dayton said with a large grin on her face.
“That’s not the same thing. I’m not a movie. I’m..” Jordan tried to say before he was cut off.
“Well, my mom left me with Sara who is responsible for me. Sara who is responsible for you left you with me. So that makes ME in charge of you. Now you should know Sara watches me every weekend and every Wednesday and Thursday. So, I think maybe you should change that tune, mister. We are going to be seeing a lot of each other and I would hate to have to give you a time-out.” Dayton said.
Jordan was fuming as he looked up at the giant girl. He had to admit she was pretty sharp. If he was in a different situation he would be curious just how old she was.
“Put me down!”
“Sure, just admit who is in charge. I want you to say it so we both know beyond a shadow of a doubt.” Dayton said.
