“Yeah, it’s just not going to work. You’re way too small to be a convincing boyfriend. I guess you could maybe work as a kid sister trying to console her older sister after she caught her boyfriend cheating on her.” Dayton said with some doubt.
“Don’t you mean brother?” Jordan corrected still staring up at the massive size of the doll with a look of abject horror.
“No, what kind of girl is going to come home and spill her guts to her younger brother? Maybe if you were an older brother.” Dayton said
“Well, I’m not wearing a girl’s clothes. Soo why don’t we find something else to do? It looks like the movie isn’t happening.” Jordan said.
“We learned about this in school. Shakespeare often used men for female parts. So think of it as just you following in the footsteps of history.”
“Or and I’m just tossing this out here. Not trying to undercut your authority. But, we play Monopoly.” Jordan said.
“Eww no. What we really need is a female underbred. Mom won’t let me have one though as she doesn’t like small things that scurry. She says you all remind her to much of rats. I’m also not sure iI have any clothes that would fit you either though. I wonder if I have a smaller doll? I got rid of most of my toys. Let me check my room. I’d bring you with but Sara said I couldn’t take you out of this room. So I guess you will need to wait here.” Dayton said as she stood up letting the doll fall to the ground as she walked out of the room.
Jordan could feel her footsteps shake the floorboards as she walked away. It was just another reminder of his newfound scale. He looked over at Sara and knew this was his chance. This was clearly not working as Dayton just didn’t respect him as an authority figure. Since he didn’t know how long Dayton would be gone. Jordan took off running towards Sara. As he moved he scanned from left to right. He still remembered all to well the spider from early and his time with the cat just yesterday. He was more aware of his place new place on the food chain and he wasn’t a fan.
“SARA!!” Jordan shouted feeling winded as he ran across the room towards her. His voice was much to weak from this distance for her to hear him. Plus he could hear her humming along to a song. So he was quite sure she had some earbuds in. Stopping briefly to catch his breath Jordan looked about thankful that Dayton hadn’t returned yet as he started running once again. He knew he had to get to Sara. Once she heard what was going on she could shut down this movie before it started. While not thrilled about it he didn’t mind it at first but now that there was talk of him cross-dressing. Well, that was just not happening.
