“Dayton! What’s going on over there?” Sara asked. As soon as Jordan heard Sara’s voice, it was like angels coming down from heaven. He knew this brat was about to get her comeuppance. There was no higher power than Sara at the moment. He knew that, and he knew Dayton also knew that.
“Oh, nothing, Miss Sara. I had just left to use the bathroom, and when I came back, I found Mr. Body Hottie exploring by himself. I was just over here explaining to him how dangerous it is for someone like him to be off on his own, as I would just hate for him to get caught underfoot or trapped somewhere where we couldn’t find him.” Dayton said sweetly.
“No, Sara, she’s lying. It’s not how it looks!” Jordan tried to explain himself and his actions. However, his meek voice wasn’t heard by Sara, and Dayton merely smiled briefly as she looked down at the tiny adult.
“JORDAN! I don’t know why I expected better out of you. Would you behave yourself? You can’t just go off on your own like that.” Sara scolded.
“Oooo, someone’s in trouble,” Dayton said in a singsong voice quiet enough that only Jordan could hear it.
“No, no, Sara, listen, she’s twisting the events,” Jordan shouted.
“Thank you, Dayton. It’s a big help knowing I can trust you and that you are responsible enough to handle this so seriously.” Sara said
“Of course, Miss Sara. It’s all about keeping Mr. Body Hottie safe, as he is so tiny, weak, and vulnerable. Since he used to be an adult, I just thought that I would be able to trust him at his word and that he would stay put. I never imagined him lying to me.” Dayton said as she winked ever so briefly down at Jordan before returning her gaze to Sara.
“Jordan, lying is a completely unacceptable little man. I’m just so disappointed in you. We will talk about this further at home. I expect you to listen to Dayton as she will keep you safe. Now, I have to get this math done. I hope to hear from her that you were more behaved after this little talk.
“This isn’t happening. I’m being framed.” Jordan mumbled.
“Hear that? Sara said I was in charge. This can go two ways. You can do as I say when we’re together, and I will tell Sara how good you are. Or you can not do what I say, and then I will have to show and tell Sara how naughty you are.” Dayton said quietly with a smile as she looked down at Jordan.
