Sara parked her car in front of her house. She briefly thought about how she was going to explain this to her mom. Wanting to avoid the talk for as long as he could she decided to park across the street.
Jordan watched Sara grab her bag and the car keys as she slid out of the car. After she got out she grabbed Jordan with her free hand and went inside.
Everything whizzed by Jordan in a blur of dark shapes and colors and Sara walked quickly across the street and into her home.
“Hey Dad,” Sara said as she walked over to her and gave her Dad a quick hug. Jordan was pressed into Sara’s sweatshirt and bag briefly before they separated.
Sara went into the kitchen and opened the fridge. Jordan couldn’t believe how large all the various food items looked. All of them made him feel smaller than he already was. As Sara pulled out some leftover Macaroni and started warming it up in the microwave before she went back to close the fridge door. She set her bag to the side before setting Jordan down on the counter along with a spoon for her Macaroni.
“Well?” Sara said looking down briefly before the microwave timer went off and she grabbed the bowl and set the down on the counter and took a bite.
“I’m starving,” Sara said as she peered down at Jordan with a perturbed look.
“Sara I have no excuse for my actions. I’m so sorry. I should be more appreciative of what you have done for me.” Jordan said apologetically. Sara looked at the diminutive man and started laughing.
“Oh my god Jordan,” Sara said still laughing as she took another bite of Macaroni and cheese. “I was a little annoyed about our little debate at the house but I was totally trolling you. You have no idea how hard it was to keep a straight face. I know everything that happens. Do you think Dayton was actually pulling over on me?” Sara exclaimed.
“Wait, you, you knew all along. You did not. You’re just messing with me” Jordan said.
“Sara Please! Then you said No Sara she’s lying.” Sara said in high pitched squeaky voice.
“I..I do not sound like that.” Jordan said.
“I..I do not sound like that.” Sara said in the same voice.”
