“You..you are insufferable sometimes.” Jordan huffed as he watched her take another bite of Macaroni with a pleased smirk on her face.
“You’re just jealous that I was able to pull one over on you. But, just think you have a lifetime of this to look forward to now. It really was hilarious, and I have a great video of you running across the floor at Mrs. Harris’s house.” Sara said. “I am a little mad that you honestly thought a 12-year-old could fool me.”
“So you weren’t mad at all? That whole scene in the car was just a performance?”
“Have you seen how strict my mom is? My dad is super chill, but Mom keeps me on a tight leash. So I picked up a few survival skills. She’s nothing like me. You should be pretty thankful that I decided to take you in.” Sara said before taking another bite.
“Yeah,” Jordan said
“Excuse you? I’m great, and don’t you forget it.” Sara added. “Now, tomorrow, you will be obviously coming to school with me. The alternative is you stay in your little bedroom all day waiting for me to come home and let you out.” Sara teased.
Jordan shuddered at the thought of being locked up in the habitat Sara built for him all day. Staring at the door, waiting for her to come home as if I were some kind of dog waiting for its master to return. Jordan knew that wasn’t even an option. He immediately said he would come with her to school.
“Good, now since we were so busy today, I figured after school and stuff, you could clean the baseboards in the kitchen as I vacuumed and dusted the living room, dining room, and kitchen.”
“You aren’t serious, are you?” Jordan questioned.
“Well, I’ll find a tiny brush or something for you to sweep the crumbs out far enough for me to come by with a broom. We also have to clean the bathroom, and your job will be scrubbing around the toilet area. It’s pretty hard to reach usually, but you’re a perfect size for the job. Now climb onto my hand, and you can have some of this Macaroni. It’s probably cool enough for you.” Sara said in a tone that Jordan knew this all had been decided.
“Yes, Ma’am,” Jordan answered as he crawled into her hand.

I don’t know if Sara was fully fooled by Dayton. As was what led to the situation was Jordan’s sister getting in contact with Sara. As if not for Jordan’s sister she would have never handed him back to Dayton.
