Sara bounded up the stairs two by two with a reckless abandon that Jordan wasn’t prepared for. He grasped her fingers tightly as she continued up the stairs. As she reached the top and started down the hallway, a wave of relief hit Jordan, causing his body to lessen its tension.
“Sorry, a force of habit,” Sara said as she continued down the hallway before stopping in front of a door Jordan didn’t recognize. He wondered briefly if maybe she was leaving him with Tiffany for a bit. When the door was opened, Jordan was greeted with the sight of a gigantic bathroom.
“You definitely need a bath, little man.”
“I’m fine. I usually take a shower every other day or so, and I don’t do a whole lot, so…” Jordan said with his voice trailing off the more he spoke.
“Eww, boys are sooo gross. Well, now you bathe at least daily, usually more. As when I shower, you shower.” Sara said
“I take pretty short showers. So I guess I will just need five minutes or so.” Jordan said.
“Uhhh, okay, is there some reason you are sharing this?” Sara asked a bit confused.
“So you can come back and get me. I can’t exactly navigate the house by myself, and well, even if I could, I’m afraid of your cat.”
“Mocha is so sweet. You two just need to be socialized, that is all. I’m sure you won’t be seen as food or a toy after a few supervised sessions.”
“Greeeaaaattt.” Jordan said unexcitedly.
“And why am I leaving the bathroom? Oh, you thought…That’s so adorable. Sweetie, no, I will be in the bathroom too.” Sara said as if this was the most normal thing ever.
“Wait what? What do you mean you will be in the bathroom too? Like with me? As I clean myself?”
“Ugh yeah. Why would you think I would leave? Like that seems like such a waste of time. This way is soo much more efficient, and we all learned today how important that is to you.” Sara said in a jovial tone.
“Do your parents know about this? Is there a guardian handbook or code we need to follow? How old are you again?”
“You are so hilarious. I can’t wait to tell the girls about this, and I just love this silly side of you. You should totally bring out this side of you more Body Hottie.” Sara said, “And leave mister serious behind.” She said in a cutesy voice.
“Great, I’m going to jail. I had a good run, and if the law doesn’t get me, your parents will. The best-case scenario is I’m a stain on your wood floors.”
