Sara was faithful to her word and walked down the hall, immediately depositing Jordan into the habitat she had built for him. As her hand lifted up and deposited the lid sealing him into his bedroom, he couldn’t help but feel like a zoo animal as he looked up at the massive Sara.
“I won’t cover up the glass if you can do as your told and go to bed,” Sara said, looking down at Jordan. Desperately Jordan wanted to retort or explain how he wasn’t all that tired, but he could see the lid on, which meant his voice was incapable of reaching Sara. He knew at this moment that the only thing that would appease her was compliance.
He walked over to his bed and pulled back the blanket she had made for him. Pulling the covers up, he stretched his legs out. Jordan didn’t want to admit it, but this sponge felt pretty good right now. His muscles relaxed from the bath he took and started to reveal the pain and soreness from today’s exertion as the sounds of Mario Kart filled the room. Jordan felt like a child fighting the sleepiness that overcame him as he didn’t want Sara to be correct. However, his body betrayed him, and he was in a deep slumber before long.
A loud rapping exploded across Jordan’s room. He struggled to push his eyes open as the bright bedroom lights were turned on. Jordan looked out briefly, having forgotten the reality he found himself in. Everything came rushing back to him, crushing him once again as he remembered he had been stricken with Smallera.
“Wakey, wakey sleepyhead! I’m up, so you’re up. That’s how this works.” Sara said as she pulled the lid off his habitat.
“What time is it?” Jordan groggily asked.
“It’s six am.”
“Six? What time are your classes? Good lord.” Jordan said with a yawn.
“They start at 8:20 am, but I have to get ready. Duh,” Sara said with more perkiness than Jordan cared for at six am. “I don’t get to sleep in, so you can’t either.”
“Fine, fine,” Jordan said, yawning once again. He hated this as he looked up at the giant teen who started to sit up in bed. As she clambered out of bed, she tossed the lid back on Jordan’s bedroom as she stretched.
