Giant students by on either side of them. The pounding and stomping of their shoes clapping against the floor. The loud, boisterous voices carried about the hallways as the giants continued to talk and gab. It wasn’t something Jordan was prepared for. He covered his ears as they walked down the hallway.
Sara and Ellie continued to chat as they walked, seemingly as if Jordan wasn’t there at all. The only thing that told him Sara hadn’t forgotten about him was that she would cup her hand more as they approached crowds of people and steadied her hand as they went up the stairs.
“It sucks we have Mrs. Brooks’s English class first.” Sara moaned. “You would think she wouldn’t be so strict since she is a younger teacher.”
“At least you’re getting an A. I have a C. My parents are gonna be pissed when midterms come out.” Ellie said as Jordan noticed they stopped in front of a locker.
“These are our lockers,” Sara said as she undid her combination lock and opened the door as she tossed her bags on the hooks. You can hang out here.” Sara added as Jordan felt her hand lift up to the top shelf of her locker. Jordan climbed across her hand and onto the metal shelf.
“Great, even her textbooks are practically taller than me.” he thought to himself as he eyed them before looking over at her pencil holder, all of which were taller than him as well.
“Oh god,” Jordan said, looking at the giant posters clinging to Sara’s locker.
“Excuse you? Put some respect on her name. We stan Taylor Swift around here, which means you stan Taylor Swift by association. We’re going to her concert in a couple of weeks. You get to come with me, but I will probably keep you in my purse because of all the jumping,” Sara said excitedly.
“Uhhh, great. I ahh can hardly wait.” Jordan said unenthusiastically.
“Don’t worry Body Hottie. I have your iPod preloaded with her entire discography. Once you know the first few albums down by heart, I will consider unlocking Spotify for you.
“This isn’t happening. Smallara didn’t just shrink me it killed me. This all makes perfect sense now as this is one of the rungs of hell.” Jordan said to himself.
“So once Chloe comes, we can go to class. You haven’t met her yet, but you will love her. Mal has Math first period, so you won’t see her or Gavin.
