Jordan felt his size as he watched the giant students walk past the giant locker that he stood in. A pencil holder that was large enough to be a cage was just beside him. As he neared the pencil holder, Jordan pushed against it, briefly wondering if he would be able to budge it. After a few attempts of it not even budging, he knew that if Sara put him in there, he probably wouldn’t be able to get out.
Sara’s burst of boisterous laughter cut through the air as Jordan peered out at her and Ellie talking. A sense of scale hit Jordan as he found himself staring at her giant bun dancing about as she spoke.
Jordan tried to call out to her, but the massive space of the school enveloped his voice. It was almost as if he had been silenced as the girls continued to talk about the upcoming day.
“So, are you bringing Body Hottie to class with you?” Ellie asked as her eyes focused back on the miniaturized human.
“Of course, he always gets into trouble if I leave him alone. He got left in the kitchen, and he caused trouble with Mocha. He got left in the living room, and he got into with a spider.” Sara said, recounting his near-death experiences.
“Those weren’t my fault. I…” Jordan managed to get out before Sara spoke over him.
“Of course not, sweetums,” Sara said in a Cutesy voice that oozed with sarcasm. “But if I was going to leave him in my locker I would have just left him at home. He will probably have to stay in my locker for gym class but besides that.” Sara said.
“That makes sense. The gym class would be rough. Especially how you play.” Ellie said in agreement.
“Attention, students! If you bring anyone extra to class with you, please check in with your homeroom teacher before class. Anyone caught smuggling a person into school will face disciplinary action. Thank you!” The announcement said over the loudspeaker, cutting off Jordan. Sara glanced over at Jordan and rolled her eyes slightly in annoyance before turning her attention away from him.
“Anyone extra,” Ellie said with a laugh. “I like how they can’t say underbred.”
“Well, it is kind of a slang term. I don’t think an official term has been exists. They probably are trying to be politically correct.”
“I know, it’s just silly. Call them what they are, you know? The train has kind of left the station on them being anything else.”
