As they walked out of the stall, Jordan instantly felt them come to a halt. Jordan could see a black teenage girl who looked Sara’s age at the sink. He couldn’t help but feel self-conscious, wondering if she heard their conversation in the bathroom stall. Seeing these giants still made him on uneasy. While he had grown more comfortable with Sara each new person made him nervous. Never had he felt so vulnerable and fearful of the world around him.
So as he looked at this unknown teen, Jordan couldn’t help but let his nerves get the better of him. He gripped Sara’s sweater tighter while hating how timid he felt.
“I thought it stunk in here. I should have known it was you.” The girl said.
“So original, you’re still full-sized I see Hate-lyn. Doesn’t your kind have an aversion to water? Wait, no, that’s witches, not bitches. My bad. I always get the two mixed up.” Sara said as she crossed her arms.
“Sara, is this necessary? She’s just a bully,” Jordan said, trying to get Sara to be the bigger person or at the very least diffuse the situation.
“I guess the rumors are true about you and your little boyfriend. I should have known that would be the only way you could get a guy.” Kaitlyn huffed.
“Yeah, well, not all of us have a bell between our legs telling the world to COME AND GET IT!” Sara snapped back.
“Sara, you’re better than this. I thought we were on a schedule here. She isn’t worth your time.” Jordan said.
“Jordan, I’m so ashamed of you. There is always time for community service. When you see trash, you should always stop and pick it up.”
“You’re a wrong little man. She’s not better than this. This is exactly who she is. I guess you should have picked a better poison. As it looks like you’re stuck now.” Kaitlyn taunted.
The girls continued to trade jabs back and forth, with Jordan unable to interject. He was trapped on Sara’s shoulder, and neither girl seemed up for stopping this. He remembered when they were coming into school, Sara and Ellie were talking about this Kaitlyn, but they never said why they were so angry with each other.
