“Well yes but my name is Jordan Fitz…” Jordan tried to respond.
“While I am sorry for your situation Jordan that doesn’t change the fact your legal name here is Jordan Reeves. Because of your situation, you must realize you are considered an invalid.” Mrs. Weller said looking at Sara.
“Sorry, Mrs. Weller. Jordan here understands all this. It’s just proving to be difficult I think for him to acclimate to this new reality. It just happened this weekend so this is all still new for him.” Sara said as she reached over and petted the top of Jordan’s head messing up his hair.
“Yes, I’m sure it is. I can only imagine. Well, Jordan. Nonetheless, you are now a member of this class. So this will be your table and chair. You will be held to the same standards as the rest of my students. Mrs. Reeves, I’m sure Ms. Brooks mentioned the school supplies Jordan is expected to have?”
“Wait, wait I’m not enrolling here. I’m not a student. I graduated already.” Jordan exclaimed.
“No, she didn’t,” Sara said.
“Listen to me please,” Jordan shouted as best he could.
“Well, I will email you the supply list. Because of your advanced placements in classes. I’m trusting Jordan will not need any remedial courses as you will be able to get him up to speed.”
“Yes, Mrs. Weller. Of course.” Sara said.
“Since these are special circumstances. I will allow this to be a three-person group for labs and the project. Jordan, you will be expected to be an equal participant.” Mrs. Weller said.
“Yes, Mrs. Weller.” Sara and Maisy said obediently.
“Good, I will allow for a couple of extra minutes for you to get situated Jordan. But please don’t make a habit of holding up the class.” Mrs. Weller said before walking away.
“Sara!” Jordan said in pure frustration.
“I know, that went so well. Who knew Mrs. Weller could be so understanding. Normally she is a lot more hardnosed.” Sara said while Maisy nodded in agreement.
“I’m not a student here. You need to explain that to her.”
“It sounds like you are but I actually agree with him. What is he going to do with this kind of education? I’m sure he can clean your shoes or do whatever menial tasks he is capable of without schooling. I mean, do we even know if underbreds are capable of complex thought?” Maisy interjected
“Maisy stooopp” Sara said a bit playfully but with a hint of seriousness. “He is my whitto man and he is going to get the best education,” Sara said in a cutesy voice. “Now go get set up at your little desk. It’s soooo cuuute! I’m gonna have to get a pic for the girls.”
