Christine Daniels had been the assistant principal here for several years. She always maintained a reputation for being tough but fair. All of that changed a month ago when she got sick with Smallera.
It was a tale like many others. She felt run down, tired, and had a general lack of energy. She laid down for a nap and when she awoke from her slumber she was greeted by a now gigantic and foreign world.
She was relieved to be at home at least. She had heard horror stories of people getting Smallera away from home. Knowing that her daughter was home she headed towards her daughter’s bedroom. This meant struggling up the now colossal staircase using the long carpet fiber loops as handholds and pulling herself up. She had never been an athletic person so the physical exertion was unfathomable. She made it to the top of the staircase by willpower and luck alone.
Weakly she staggered down the hallway which stretched out like an expansive desert in either direction until large walls rose up beyond what her eyes could see. Christine didn’t know how much energy she had left as she darted her eyes from left to right fearful of every sound.
“Sadie” She shouted as she plodded down the hallway until her voice was hoarse. When she reached her daughter’s bedroom door she could hear the thumping of the music. The floorboards shook as she stood motionless craning her neck back unable to believe just how far up the door went. It was frightening that she was unable to see the top of it. The saving grace was that when Sadie had last come into her room she didn’t push the door quite hard enough and it remained slightly ajar.
Christine felt like a rodent in her own home as she pushed her way through a small gap between the door and the frame. Finally making it through she screamed and yelled while frantically she waved her arms while repeatedly jumping hoping to gain Sadie’s attention. Being to small to hear and Sadie’s back being turned away from her. She was forced to journey across the bedroom floor until she reached the summit of Sadie’s foot and quite literally threw herself against it.
Christine felt relief as her daughter looked down at the miniaturized parent.
“Oh my god, Mom?!?” Sadie said surprised to see her mother collapsing onto her foot in exhaustion.
The warm oily hand wrapped around Christine as Sadie smiled down at her helpless mother. As she set her down on her desk she couldn’t believe what she saw. She knew her mom wasn’t immune like her but the reality was the virus hadn’t struck anyone she knew. She hadn’t even seen one except on the tv as she hadn’t been overseas where it had been hitting harder.
“You still blubbering?” The cold words sprung Christine’s mind back to the present. The giant image of her daughter is blurred by her own tears. The laughter of her friend Katie boomed around her like thunderclaps.
She desperately wanted free. She wished any one of the giant students here would come to her aid. Anyone from the faculty to step in and say something.

This is a level of fucked up the story hadn’t shown yet. And it’s her own mother to boot, I’m curious though what Christine was like before shrinking, cruel as her daughter is this could potentially be a variation of pay back for some unfair punishments Christianine had given her daughter in times past.
