Jordan didn’t like what he was hearing. Logically he understood selling his house. It was too big for him, and much to his chagrin, he knew he was stuck at this size. However, never once did he consider he would be spending the rest of his life with Sara and the Reeves family.
“You’re joking, right? Very funny,” Jordan said with a forced laugh.
“It looks like you are coming with me to class as I have to go,” Ellie said before her hands curled around Jordan’s body not giving him a chance to respond as Ellie lifted him off the table while she stacked Sara’s and Chloe’s lunch trays on top of her own.
“Whoa, whoa, Sara’s coming back. You can just leave me here.” Jordan said as he attempted to sound as assertive as he could.
“I hear what you’re saying, but no. Sara would absolutely kill me if I left you alone at this lunch table. Besides a toddler could overpower. You wouldn’t stand a chance against anyone here.
Ellie’s grip on Jordan tightened as she grabbed the lunch trays and discarded them for cleaning. Jordan squirmed and pushed futilely against her grip.
“You can ride on my shoulder. You might as well get used to it. The offer still stands though. I would gladly take you in. I’m even between boyfriends at the moment in case you were wondering.” Ellie said as deposited Jordan onto her shoulder.
Jordan didn’t like where this was going. Based on what Sara had said Ellie definitely had some kind of crush on him. Now he was stuck going to class with her. Who knows when he will see Sara again? He could be stuck with Ellie till after school. Jordan shuddered at the thought of having to go home with her.
“So we just have to grab my backpack from my locker but it’s on the way,” Ellie said. “Be sure to hold on tight. I can’t have Sara’s little prince getting hurt on my watch.” Ellie said with a smirk.
“I’m not her little prince. Would you just take me to her? We have a busy day scheduled after school.” Jordan argued hoping to sway Ellie.
“Don’t worry, it’s not like you won’t see your precious master again. I had no idea you were so attached to her.” Ellie joked.
“She’s not my master. I’m not a pet. You need to spread that around to your friends as well.” Jordan said with a huff.
“Oh, I’m sure they all know just where you stand. Watch out.” Ellie said before slinging her bookbag over her shoulders which caused Jordan to cower a bit closer to her. He could smell her perfume and hairspray emanating off of her as the straps of the bookbag hugged her shoulders and she slammed her locker shut before heading down the hall.
