“But, if you don’t want to shower, you can sit in my locker. I won’t force you. Even though it’s a bit disgusting after all that sweating.” Sara said as she grabbed her towel while side-eying Jordan.
“Just give me a sec,” Jordan said pulling off his shirt. As it dropped to the ground he couldn’t help but notice how meager it looked in comparison to Sara’s shirt as he pulled his shorts off.
Jordan had just finished stripping down when he looked up to see Sara staring down at him. He couldn’t help but feel a bit uncomfortable as her eyes fixated on him. He tried to cover himself as she smirked down at him. Sara set her hand down next to him so that he could climb on. He looked over at her with a towel wrapped around her body before stepping onto her hand.
“I don’t have a little towel, sorry,” Sara said as her hand rose up from the locker and she closed the door.
“I deserve a little privacy. Like, seriously. You are just going to stand there and gawk at me.” Jordan said in an annoyed tone.
“What’s the big deal? We are going to see each other naked anyway. Just get used to it. You don’t see me freaking out every time Mocha walks into the room and I’m changing.” Sara said.
“Mocha is your pet cat. Why would you care?” Jordan said shaking his head over her using such a stupid example. “Wait are you saying I’m just like a Mocha?” Jordan snapped. Jordan couldn’t believe she had the gall to compare him to her pet cat. He was completely different.
“I didn’t mean it like that. I just meant we’re close. We are together all the time, and that’s not going to be changing. You’re going to spend the rest of your life with me as my little man. I’m sure there will be some growing pains but this has gone so well so far. Smooth as butter.” Sara added as she continued towards the shower.
Jordan, for his part, was shaken by her statement. He had never heard the reality of this spoken aloud. He was going to be with Sara forever. Making matters more complicated was this teenage girl felt she had a claim on him. She just got into it with another classmate over him.
“When you say forever. What exactly do you mean?” Jordan asked hoping it was some kind of misunderstanding.
“Uhh, I mean forever. I’m not aware of another definition. Why are you acting so weird? Oh, I think I understand. You don’t need to worry. We’re a package deal. So, anyone, I date will have to be underbred friendly. I won’t let anyone mistreat you.” Sara said while stepping into the shower.
“Dating? No wait….”
“You have nothing to worry about. I just kicked Tamara’s ass for you. ” Sara said as she used her free hand to adjust the water temperature.
“Look, I want to be able to see my friends. I want a job that’s not going to school which I already graduated from.” Jordan shouted.
“You have friends, you have Ellie, Stephanie, Gavin, and Mallory,” Sara said.
“Those are your friends. I want to be able to see my friends.” Jordan argued.
“Who? Like Ms. Brooks and Ms. Sanchez? Neither of them recognizes me as your guardian. They don’t give me the respect I deserve. You heard how they talked to me today.” Sara said
“They were just concerned about me. Just like your friends would be if our situations were reversed.” Jordan said
“I didn’t want to have this conversation here…” Sara said
