While it may have been a little petty, Jordan enjoyed hearing about her fretting about her mother finding out about some of her antics. It was a nice reminder that Sara wasn’t all-powerful. Even though in many cases it seemed like it to him as he is the size of her finger.
“It’s crazy that they raided all those homes and businesses right? I really want my own little man, but there is no way my parents will pay for that. They are way too cheap. They only paid for Guardian classes because at the time there wasn’t immunity testing.” Ellie said as she opened her locker and started packing her books into her backpack.
“I never understood that. Both your parents make a stupid amount of money. Yet, they won’t let you get any kind of pet. I mean look at Body Hottie he’s super easy to care for. Like I have to clean out Mocha’s litter box weekly, and dogs you have to pick up their waste all the time. Body Hottie just uses the bathroom like a person. He eats what I eat so no additional or specialty food is needed. They are coming out with so many cute outfits and accessories for them now.” Sara said.
“You are preaching to the choir sister. Speaking of which did you buy some of that Generitech stock with your streaming money I told you about? This last wave caused their stocks to boom. As now everyone wants little products.”
“Yeah, I went all in like you said,” Sara said picking up Ellie’s backpack as they headed down the hall into the commons before walking out the main school doors. “Carry me, Ellie,” Sara shouted between fits of laughter as she jumped onto Ellie’s back who staggered slightly at first before grabbing Sara’s legs and giving her piggyback ride.
“I should known something was up when you were carrying my backpack,” Ellie said while laughing.
“Forward!!! RAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH” Sara yelled as both girls laughed as Ellie gave Sara a piggyback ride through the campus greens.
Jordan could hardly comprehend what was happening. One moment Sara was walking with Ellie outside. The next moment Sara was running jarring Jordan from left to right as the world sped by in a swirl of colors as she ran and then finally leaped into the air. The air whizzed by more like a wind hitting my face. Sara’s movement speed made it seem like they were moving a hundred miles per hour.
It all came to a halt as he felt a powerful jolt as Sara collided with Ellie. A powerful wave of motion sickness hit Jordan as Sara wrapped her arms around Ellie and Jordan found himself looking up at Ellie as she carried Sara on her back.
“Sara, this is dangerous. If you fall, I could get crushed.” Jordan shouted as the world still spun from the motion sickness.
“We do this all the time. Quit being such a baby. I have saved your life like twenty times today. Nothing is going to happen. Now to the car!!!” Sara directed
As they approached the car Ellie let go of Sara forcing her to walk the last few steps towards the car under her own power. A couple of button presses later the doors were unlocked and the teens were entering Jordan’s car as they owned it.
