“You’re staying tonight, aren’t you?” Sara said as she pulled Chloe backward a bit and wrapped her arms around her, gently giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“I told you before I was just stopping by to see you, and I wasn’t staying. Besides, your mom would kill you. She goes to bed, and you’re alone. Then in the morning, I’m just sleeping next to you. She would love that.” Chloe said as she lay next to Sara peacefully.
“She won’t be here, though, in the morning. She leaves for work at 3 am, and it’s not safe for a cute, pretty, attractive, young thing to go home by herself this late.” Sara said between kisses on Chloe’s neck. “Think of how safe you will be here. Your parents are almost never home, and it’s not like they will notice.”
“I can just text them. My parents like the idea of being parents more than actually being parents. Yeah, it’s doubtful they would come home tonight anyway.” Chloe said while grabbing her phone and sending a message to her parents before setting her phone down on top of Jordan’s habitat.
Jordan was left to only watch as Chloe and Sara stood up. He had given up trying to vie for any of their attention. Sara was clearly still upset enough that she wasn’t going to be letting him out anytime soon. The contrast between the two was a bit stark. As Jordan watched Chloe fold her clothes and neatly set them on Sara’s couch. Where Sara just let her clothes fall to the ground as she took them off.
“It really doesn’t bother you that Jordan is just right there. Seeing you at all times, no matter what you’re doing?” Chloe said, looking down.
“Why would it? It’s just body hottie. He’s my little man, and I’m not going to change how I live around him. He’s not a stranger or a guest or something. I know you haven’t gone through training or anything, so it’s probably a little awkward, but you should think of it just like he’s Mocha.” Sara said.
“He’s still a person to me. I know you and Ellie think otherwise. But I can’t help it. I just look at him, and I see Jordan. Just because he is smaller doesn’t change anything for me.” Chloe said.
“For starters, I still think he’s a person. He’s just my pet person. You just need to be around him more. I’d let you hold him if he wasn’t grounded. He’s testing the boundaries right now, and he must understand what is allowed and not allowed. I can’t have him misbehaving, and I can’t have him not respecting authority. I’m illustrating to him that when you behave, listen, and are obedient, you get treated like a person and given the respect of one. If you want to misbehave, throw tantrums, or not be obedient, then you get treated how you choose to act. If you want to act like an animal, I will treat you like one.” Sara said as her eyes looked down at Jordan, ensuring he heard every word.
“I think he’s trying to tell you something,” Chloe said, pointing at Jordan, who was trying to get Sara’s attention.
“Oh, I’m sure he is. But now is not the time for him to be speaking. It’s his reflection time when he should think about what put him in this situation and how he is expected to behave. After school tomorrow I will listen to him. I’m sure my wittle man is very sorry, but that doesn’t change his punishment. It’s not like Mom is shortening my punishment because I’m sorry.” Sara said as she bent down on the floor, grabbed a small pile of discarded clothes, and dropped it onto Jordan’s habitat. In an instant, his view of the world was cut off, and all he could see was Sara’s clothes.
