“Are you even paying attention?” Sara said as she stomped her foot to get Jordan’s attention. The girls watched Jordan jump nearly half a foot into the air in surprise. Both girls looked down at Jordan with a pretty good idea he wasn’t paying even the slightest bit of attention. Sara enjoyed watching him squirm as he thought he was in actual trouble.
“No…sorry.” Jordan said, who had been distracted by Dayton’s dance glass. It was impressive to see giant beings moving so in sync with one another.
“Well, I know you don’t know any of these moves,” Sara said with her arms crossed. “You need to be in sync with us, or it won’t look good,” Sara explained and Stephanie nodded in agreement.
“Wait you’re expecting me to do this as well? You can’t be serious?” Jordan said dumbfounded by the revelation. He hadn’t ever made or been in a Tik Tok video in his life.
“Of course, it will be fun. You’re my friend too. So look just watch us run through it once. Then you’re going to be in front and do the same thing.
Jordan reluctantly watched the two run through the short sequence. After watching them he immediately knew he wasn’t going to be doing this. The moves were not only intended to be done by a woman. Jordan knew on his best day he wasn’t that flexible.
“Okay now go ahead and run through it quick for us.” Stephanie said more assertively as she got more comfortable around Jordan. She crouched down going down to one knee as Sara bent down with her hands on her hips. Jordan made it halfway through the routine in a very awkward manner before falling flat on his back which made the two girls laugh.
“Would you rather run the camera? We can get a better angle that way anyway.” Sara asked feeling a bit bad for him but appreciative that he tried.
“Yes please,” Jordan said. Not thrilled about being the cameraman either but it was the lesser of two evils at the moment. Sara grabbed her phone and fiddled with a few of the camera settings before simply saying here. Sara then set the bottom of her phone down on the ground and then simply let go causing the phone to fall backward. Jordan rushed to get into position. The phone smashed against his hands and he immediately felt the immense weight of the phone bearing down on him.
“You’re gonna need to peek your head around to make sure we are in the frame,” Sara instructed before deciding that was too much. “Let me help you. You just lift or lower and I will tell you when it’s angled correctly.” Jordan had trouble fathoming that her stupid phone could be this heavy. As the expensive piece of plastic bore down on him he just wanted this to be over as he tilted the phone up by bending his back more and more.
“That’s perfect,” Sara said as she got into position next to Stephanie.
As they ran through the routine Jordan felt the phone getting heavier and heavier. He started to regret not just going through with being part of the video as this is much worse. He hoped this was a one-time thing as the idea of being this burgeoning influencer’s cameraman was not the career path he had in mind.
