Jordan was racking his brain trying to come up with any other option. As if he was found by Dayton or Nicolle they would surely make his life a living nightmare. He quite literally ran and hid from them and he knows they don’t want to go to Sara and tell her that they lost him.
Although Jordan was still undecided if he wanted to run from Sara herself. As while he didn’t like her rules and her family was a bit strict. She had her doctor put a literal chip in him that he wasn’t even sure was removable. As it seemed like it was implanted at the base of his spine. So at the very least, it would be surgery and spinal surgery has risks.
The biggest problem was as Jordan looked up at the teenage titans in front of him. He struggled to think of anyone who would have enough money to pay for his fees. He couldn’t ask his parents to liquidate a large part of their 401k plans to try to buy him from Sara and even if they offered she didn’t have to accept. As far as she and her family were concerned he was a literal companion animal. Even her therapist was seemingly on board.
No, if he wasn’t going back to Sara. The only real solution would be to live in the wild. If he went to either of his friends or his ex that would be the first place Sara would have the authorities look. If they were caught with him it would be the end of them.
“Do you see anything?” Dayton said in an exasperated tone as she looked down at the grass swiping her feet across the lawn like Nicolle was doing.
“No, I feel like he’s close though. He could only go so far you know?” Nicolle added before swiping her foot across the grass once again.
“Maybe, he’s definitely hiding though. If he was trying to get our attention we would have found him by now. He’s small and the grass would be taller than him but if he were yelling and jumping about we’d see him. When I get my hands on him he’s going to pay.” Dayton said with a bit of angst in her voice.
“Really? I’m sure that’s going to make him want to come out.”
“Well, the kid gloves are coming off Nicolle. He’s going to get me in trouble with Sara. Now it’s personal.”
“I suppose,” Nicolle added slightly annoyed as she looked down closer at the lawn hoping to see any kind of movement.
