Sara looked down at Jordan still upset as she brought him up so that he was near her face. She pressed him against her cheek and snuggled him briefly before pulling him away and giving him a good look to make sure that he was okay as she felt the anger dissipate.
“Are you okay? I know she had said some horrible things.” Sara said as she ruffled Jordan’s hair at first and then started running her finger down his back. Almost instantly Jordan felt his sore and tired body melt into the palm of Sara’s hand. He felt the relief of his tensed back muscles loosen. It was his lower back at first then he felt his upper back and shoulders release their tension. He hated how good this felt when she did it. He could only imagine what Chloe must think seeing him like this. Because as good as it felt. It seemed like it was yet another example of him becoming more like a little and less of a person.
“He seems to really enjoy that,” Chloe said looking down at Jordan. He wanted to yell back that he didn’t. That it wasn’t as it seemed but he also didn’t want Sara to stop. It was like a deep tissue massage.
“Yeah, we learned it through guardian training. The pressure points of a little change a bit when they shrink. This is supposedly comparable to you getting a full body massage only for them it happens across the body all at once.” Sara added.
“Interesting. I had no idea they taught so much in these classes. If I’m being honest I kind of thought it was a cash grab.”
“No, they actually went overseas and brought back some underbreds and then studied them. So they cover proper holding techniques and how to grab them, and stuff. Then things like this on how to provide comfort. How to move without making them sick. Then they cover diets and how best to feed them and make sure they get the proper nutrients. Like I make sure to leave specific things left on my plate when I eat so he can get a balanced diet.”
“You put more thought into this than I thought.”
“Well, he’s a part of my life now. So I need my wittle man healthy. I’m still a little mad at him but he did run away for a reason. I will just need to work on building trust.” Sara said as she stopped the gentle stroking of Jordan and merely held him in her hand as they continued to walk towards the car.
“I guess we could go get Jordan’s collar since we have extra time,” Sara said. She could see the reluctance on Jordan’s face.
“Sara please, I’m literally begging you. I won’t run away. I have a better appreciation for what you have done for me after seeing what it is like on the outside.”
“I know you are sorry. I initially did say it out of anger. However, this really is the law. We can’t just not do it. If I had you out without a collar after the deadline I could get into trouble. I’m required to follow all the guidelines to maintain my license.”
