“Anyway, you can’t turn this around. So you have a points system for him?” Chloe asked skeptically.
“Yeah he gets points per day he can turn in for items for the habitat or things for his iPhone. But I still buy him things outside of this system. The system is just a reward system for good behavior.”
“The point values are a little high Chloe and I don’t even have any points.”
“Sara!”
“You can’t go to good cop and weasel your way into the swag. I appreciate the hustle as it’s something I would totally do but that’s not how it happened Chloe. He’s not telling you it was just instituted today so he has no points earned yet and he was naughty today so he gets a zero. The point values are fixed amounts.”
“I don’t hate the system but..”
“See, it’s a good system body hottie.”
“BUT, you need to send me a list of the point totals. You need fair values for him. I can also probably get you some more things.”
“See I told you that you would like this. Look at us responsibly raising an underbred together. Someone looks like she’s getting attached.”
“I’m not attached. Stooop.” Chloe said in a bit of a whine. “I’m just making sure you’re treating him fairly.”
“Of course I am. He’s my pet wittle man. I got him this cute little pillow to sit on so we can watch our shows together on Sunday night.”
“Uhhh we have shows?”
“You watch succession don’t you?”
“No, I mean I’ve heard of it. I didn’t have HBO.”
“For shame, Body Hottie. I’m just kidding. I’ve seen your finances. I get it. You had several credit cards I had to pay off. Don’t worry, it’s subtember on Twitch so I’ve been making bank. We will just have to do a couple of extra streams to make it back. Plus next week we have the mountain dew sponsorship stuff so it’s a bunch of call of duty.”
“Wait what? You went through all my finances?”
“Well, I had to pay off your debts. When I closed your bank account I had them print out the last 2 months of your financial records. So then I just contacted your creditors based on who you had been paying and paid them all off. You don’t think your debts go away just because you got sick with Smallara do you? I had to assume all your debt and take care of it.”
“She is right, it’s the law. Since you are considered legally incapacitated she would have to assume responsibility for your debts as your guardian. All your debt becomes her debt even though it’s under your name. Since you didn’t legally die your debts aren’t cleared.”
“Oh ummm, so you saw all my debt? Oh god, this isn’t happening.”
“well yeah, I had to pay it off. Dad said it was my responsibility if I wanted you. So normally most of my money goes into a savings account which is managed for me, some of it is split off into bonds and others are stocks. So I just had to call and have them move some money around.”
“This is unreal. I thought you just ran some little Twitch stream. When you showed me off how many people were watching?”
“Oh that was a weekend, I do much better numbers on the weekday streams. Only a couple thousand people probably at the peak. You don’t need to worry about any of that. I make more than enough money for both of us. I’ll just do a couple of sponsored streams or grab an endorsement or two. You don’t need to sweat the money. You’re my whitto mansy. I”m gonna take care of you. Honestly, having you should open up a new market for me. It is supposedly good for the brand whatever that means.”
“Great, now I’m god only knows how many thousands of dollars in debt to a teenager.” Jordan felt sick. He thought she just did some streaming things for fun on the side with a couple of people watching. It was shocking to learn that she was a streamer and influencer people actually tuned in to see. He had no idea she had real sponsors paying real money. She had an actual following and now thousands of people think I go by Lil’ Hottie.”
