As they left Anna’s office in the back the group made their way towards the front of the store. That was the first time Sara had been that affectionate with him. She had given a quick kiss but never anything like that.
“You’re so quiet Body Hottie,” Sara said as they moved closer to the front of the store.
“I was just surprised you had kissed me like that is all. You hadn’t done that before.” Jordan said sitting down in her hand.
“Well, I do care about you. I’m not attracted to you or anything. However, you’re my whitto man. We have a life together now.”
“Wait if you’re not attracted to me why do you call me Body Hottie.”
“Ellie, that’s her name for you. She’s pretty much blabbed it to everyone. How long has it been Chloe? A year? Two years? I’m trying to think how long you had that house. That’s just what everyone knows you as. You haven’t even met everyone everyone. You’ve met the super important people in my life.”
“I think you blew his mind. Look at his face.” Chloe said as they pushed the backroom door open and headed toward the front of the store.
“Well, he’s not bad-looking or anything. Guys just don’t do it for me really. I’d never say never. I’m sure there is some guy I could possibly be attracted to on the planet.”
“So I only have to really worry about other girls got it,” Chloe said with a laugh.
“Of course. I really do care about you Body Hottie. I promise you’re going to have an amazing life with Chloe and me. We will bring you everywhere. Vacations, trips, you can come to work with me and shopping. You won’t miss out on anything. You’re part of my streams. Like you have nothing to worry about. I told you anyone who I date is going to be underbred friendly. They don’t come any underbred friendlier than Chloe.”
“Thanks, I think?”
“Well, it’s not a bad thing to be underbred friendly. You’re only fault is that you don’t call him by his given name.”
“He wasn’t born with the name Body Hottie. It just feels weird to me to not call him Jordan.”
“It’s like your pet name for him. It’s cool. I’m sure Body Hottie doesn’t mind. Be honest, does it bother you that she calls you Jordan? You won’t hurt her feelings at all if you say yes.”
“What? why would it bother me.” Jordan said confused
“See he likes the pet name. You guys have a thing. That’s so sweet. I’m glad you two are bonding.”
“my name can’t be a thing,” Jordan said
“A name can be a thing. Like Chloe is the only one of importance who doesn’t call you by your real name Body Hottie.”
“My real name?”
“Yeah, you’re my whitto man. When you get a pet, even a wittle pet person you name them. Like Mocha’s name was Fitzgerald before I got him. That lady I got Mocha from could not name a pet if her life depended on it. Real sweet though. But yeah, it’s only natural. This is a new life, a new you. You’re sister even liked it. She laughed for a solid five minutes.”
“You told Allison?!?!?”
“Well yeah, she asked about you so I was telling her about everything she was just concerned about you but is so happy that you got into a good home. You have no pressure to speak with or see her. I made it clear to her. I shot her some messages after our talk at Dayton’s. She was cool waiting for you to engage.”
“Great, if I do ever see her. I’m never living this down.” Jordan said quietly to himself.
“So what’s the plan, Chloe? Do you want to come back to my place or what? If I wasn’t grounded I’d suggest going back to your place. I’m sure I can sneak you in again.”
“It’s okay, I’ll just head home. I don’t want you getting in trouble. Your mom was nice enough to let you go out Friday still. Let’s not ruin that.”
“You’re probably right. I will drop you off and then we’ll head home.” Sara said as she got into the car.
