Jordan walked over to Sara and stood between her massive feet staring upward into the cool bathroom air. He still found it uncomfortable just how large she was in comparison to him. It was even more unsettling after seeing her father, who was even bigger than she was.
He knew Smallera has been around for years but he never took it all that seriously. Much to his own detriment in hindsight. As to him, it was just conspiracies and doctored pictures. Now though he was actually living as his teenage neighbors Tom Thumb he found re-learning how to live one’s life to be no easy feat.
“See that’s the bathroom I’m building you. I took an old mirror we had and hung it for you and then after bought a little sink and counter for you. The hard part was attaching it to our plumbing. Your pipes are so little I had to watch a youtube video on how to untile and get behind the wall cleanly to reach the pipe. Then put on the little spacer adapter that fits around where the pipe connects. It all works though.” Sara said proudly. Although she was most proud of putting the tiling back with only a small hole for a tiny pipe to fit through. As she knew if she had ruined the tiling she would have gotten it good from her parents.
Jordan was astonished by just how much work she had gone through for him. He actually felt a little bad now. As last night he had thought she was ignoring him. Purposefully trying to make him suffer when she was actually building him a working sink.
“Wow, thank you. I can’t believe you went through so much effort for me.” Jordan said kindly as he felt the warm skin of her foot and ankle against his cold body.
“Only the best for wittle man,” Sara added while Jordan looked at the miniature ladders. He was curious if they would slip as it seemed a bit unsafe. Sara motioned for him to go over towards it. He waited for her to bend down to pick him up or lower her hand but neither of which ever came.
Jordan watched as the foot and ankle he was using for warmth started to lift upward. This led to Jordan having to scurry along the ground as he watched her foot land several yards away creating yet another gust of wind that blew against him making the traversal that much more tiring.
“It’s important you move about on your own when it’s possible. It gets a bit more dangerous when we are out and about. Now that we are at home I will try to give you more opportunities to move freely towards destinations on your own when it’s safe. As that will give you a bit of independence while also kind of reshaping your body as you use new muscles to navigate that you wouldn’t have in your old life.
“Ugh, that sounds annoying. Let me guess guardian training.”
“Yes, and it is important for you. If I just carry you everywhere your muscles won’t form correctly and you need to develop new skills as you have actual predators. Ideally, I will be able to protect you from them but you should be prepared for the worst-case scenario or a situation that we couldn’t have predicted.
“I suppose you’re right,” Jordan said as he already felt himself getting winded. He focused more on muscle and toning than running and endurance. If he had to do it all over again he would have made his fitness plan more optimal for this new lifestyle.
