Jordan stepped out of the buggy and onto Sara’s warm hand. He felt himself stumble and fall to a knee as she lifted her hand upward. The floor pulled away as well as his buggy as Sara stood up to her full height giving Jordan a view of Sara’s whole room once again.
After having been on floor level for quite a while he had started to acclimate to a skewed view perspective. As nearly everything in Sara’s room in some way cut off or hindered his view of something.
“Did my wittle man have fun exploring?” Sara said as she rustled Jordan’s hair before giving him a few gentle pets. “My stream went so well. Donations were flowing if it weren’t for school I would have kept going.
Jordan laid back in Sara’s hand letting the warmth of her hand radiate through him and relax his body and muscles. As he laid against her palm, it seemed as if the palm of her hand molded against his body.
“We have a big day tomorrow so make sure you get a good night’s sleep.”
“What do you mean?”
“We have our group project with Maisy tomorrow for one thing. This means you need to be on your best behavior and listen to the instructions given. If Maisy likes us…”
“I know, I know it could open up so many doors for you.”
“For us, you mean.” Sara was quick to add as she wanted to ensure Jordan understood he was included in this. As what was good for her was also good for him in her eyes.
“I can be nice, but what if, and this is just a crazy hypothetical. What if I don’t like Maisy.”
“What do you mean? Maisy is great what don’t you like about her? She’s funny, she’s witty, she likes sports…”
“Yeah, that’s great and all,” Jordan said cutting in. “It’s just she seems to not be the most friendly to me.”
“She was barely around you and you were just freaking out because she was trying to touch you. I understand now that to you she was a stranger at that moment. However, now that you know she is a friend. I’m sure you two can find some mutual ground. She hasn’t been around any underbreds so you are new to her. She is just more curious than anything. It’s hard for people to understand that you are real you know. As it’s not like underbreds are common. It would be like if Matt Damon just walked into the class.”
“So in this example, you’re saying I’m Matt Damon? I guess that’s not so bad to be Matt Damon. But, that’s not the point. I’m just saying I may not like everyone you happen to like.”
“You don’t even know what you don’t like about her. She was literally around you for 2 minutes then class started. If you have specific things you can point out then we can take them under advisement and reconsider our feelings about Maisy. But until then, WE like Maisy and want to be friends with her. That is OUR opinion on the matter. So I expect your behavior to be in line with our opinions.
