The whole experience was a different one for Jordan. As all this planning and preparation for a trip was being done without him. He didn’t have any choice or say in the matter. He still didn’t know where they were even going other than a beach house.
“Ellie is coming, isn’t she?” Sara’s father said as he finished off his breakfast.
“Yeah, she’s coming,” Sara said in a more chipper tone as the sleepiness of morning began to wear off.
“That’s good. It’s nice when the whole family can be there.” Sara’s father said.
“You realize she’s not actually your daughter, right?” Sara said with a bit of a laugh.
“She might as well be. You two have been nearly inseparable for as long as I can remember. I don’t think she’s ever not come. Hell, she’s on the chore board. If that’s not family, I don’t know what is.” Sara’s father added
Jordan could do nothing but watch as the family ate their breakfast, and Sara would feed him bits and pieces off her plate until he was full. He didn’t want to wander or go anywhere as it seemed like Tiffany didn’t care for him on the table to start with. So, he felt compelled to stick close to Sara. Even if this did only seem to solidify the fact he belonged to her in their eyes.
“I need to get to work, though. Stay out of trouble Sare bear,” Sara’s father said as he set the dishes from his breakfast down in the sink before walking past his daughter, stopping briefly as he kissed her on her forehead.
“I should get going too, dear. I will drop Mocha off for you, but can you put the dishes into the dishwasher before you go to school?” Tiffany asked
“Sure Mom,” Sara said as she took a drink before her mother hugged her as she walked by on her way out to the car. Seeing the large bodies of Sara’s parents walk by was nerve-wracking enough. As they bent down to show Sara affection, they got even closer to him. Their hulking frames were a reminder that as large as Sara was to him, they were even bigger. He had been placed in the care of the most junior member of the household.
“You did very good sticking near me. Mom really hates your little feet on the table. All she sees is you tracking dirt and germs all over her table, no matter what I tell her. Dad and I don’t really care, but gotta keep Mom happy.” Sara said as she patted Jordan on the head before using her finger to pet him by running her finger down his back. Jordan found himself fighting his body not to show that he liked it, but his body and muscles betrayed him as they relaxed to her touch.
“You realize it’s underbred physiology. You have different pressure points, and your body reacts differently to human touch. We can not only provide enough pressure to release the tension in your body. When I pet you like this, your body releases dopamine, which is why it feels good to you. Moreso, as your guardian, your body will get more sensitized to my touch. Through the amount of contact. Chloe was talking about it. They did some kind of study,” Sara added as she leaned in a bit.

1 Well Tiffany sees them in the hospital. Shes not a participant in the daily care in the life of a little.
Jordan is the only little she sees outside of work. At work its more people getting diagnosed and either leaving with family, getting the cure when that was available or getting sent to the facility.

Him having to act like Sara wants him to isn’t a fair solution either, Sara basically wants a slave with another name and forcing him to change his personality and opinions to suit her wants is one of the worst parts of his treatment by her. Especially because she’s made it clear she won’t better herself for him.

She has multiple accounts of physical abuse, as well as emotional abuse, financial abuse, neglect, emotional manipulation, gas-lighting (though some of those may be ret-cons), extortion, deceit, sexual abuse/assault/harassment, put him on a live stream without his consent, privacy violations, isolating him from his loved ones, forced him to undergo a medical procedure without his consent and allowed him to be bullied and probably more I can’t remember off the top of my head, constant use of an offensive slur, victim blaming
any one of these constitutes abuse but she’s done them all, and even if she stopped today, It’s not enough for her to never do them again, she has to answer for doing them in the first place.
The real kicker though, her accepting him as her pet and trying to force him to do the same is a very similar to when Kaitlyn tried to force her to come out as referenced in 330, so she’s a hypocrite on top of it all.
If I remember correctly Sara mentioned at some point that petting him helped relax her as well. It may seem a bit out of place for Jordan at random times but he should try to remember its sometimes not just for him, but he gets to benefit from it anyway.
Sara will become more in tune with when Jordan is stressed and this is at least a convenient way for her to help him when words wont. It’s a nice way of her showing that she does care about him. I can see an argument about that being a tool for manipulation though.
I also picked up that the parents didn’t say goodbye to Jordan lol. Glad Asuka already clarified that subject a bit. With a full day ahead of them and Jordan being fairly easy to not notice, they’re probably not used to it yet either.

You are correct that petting is also beneficial to Sara in relaxing her and destressing. It does have the mixed benefit of also feeling good to Jordan.
I doubt Dayton will be removed but it will be a bit before she appears again.

Cant wait untill the next familly meeting with Jorden, I hope they bb talk with him a lil and trat him as a kid that is even younger than sara and he try to correct them but they just keep doing this.
Well in reality they wouldn’t even view him as younger then Sara as that would require him to be viewed as an equal. Sara has pretty much said he’s a pet.
Can’t believe I missed this earlier, but it was a lovely bit of wholesomeness when Who’s-Her-Daddy said that the family wouldn’t be whole without Ellie. That was adorable!!
Big Ellie fans in the reeves household. However, they have known Ellie pretty much Sara’s whole life. So its only natural they would develop a bond with her and care about her.

I’m imagining both lathering Jordan in sunscreen taking just a few seconds, then asking Jordan to rub some sunscreen on them in return, possibly the soles if their feet, as many people neglect to put sunscreen there despite them being hyper vulnerable to sun burn.
