Smallara 389

Smallara Episode 389: A Giantess Story

“I mean, could you even imagine if mom found you? If we were in some bizarro world where she didn’t just immediately ship you off to a facility. You wouldn’t have nearly the amount of freedom I grant you or the love and affection I show you either. She wouldn’t be building you a little bathroom down there. She wouldn’t get you a buggy either.” Sara said as she continued recounting what she did for Jordan’s benefit.

“I don’t know. Tiffany seems nice in the few times I’ve spoken with her since moving into the neighborhood.” Jordan said.

“It’s like I said earlier this morning, you don’t know Mom that well. Think of it this way. You’ve been here since Saturday, and how many times has she stopped by to check on you? Yes, she’s busy. She’s been working a lot but still talks to me daily. She still checks in and sees how things are. Makes a point to check on me. Has she checked in on you? Has she asked how you were adjusting to things? She hadn’t until she saw you at breakfast and was making small talk. You’re just an underbred to her. I wouldn’t say she dislikes you or anything, but you’re definitely not a priority to her. But don’t worry will always be my wittle man.” Sara said as she stared intently into the mirror to apply her eyeliner.

Jordan wanted to call bullshit on Sara’s argument, but as much as he hated to admit it, she had some points. Tiffany hadn’t checked in on him. She had pretty much left him entirely in the care of her daughter. Even at breakfast this morning, she was ready to move him to the floor to eat. There was no consideration for bugs or even idle movements of people’s feet, which Jordan learned about earlier when Sara and Ellie were doing homework. Tiffany worked with people like him and seemed good at what she does. She doesn’t seem to want to have much to do with littles in her free time, or so it seemed at least to Jordan.

“You don’t have to look so worried. You’re not Mom’s pet. You’re mine.” Sara said as if that was supposed to make him somehow feel better. The reality was Jordan didn’t want to be anyone’s pet. However, in the eyes of Tiffany and her family, that wasn’t a possibility. As Jordan thought more about it, he realized that wasn’t entirely fair. It seemed like many of the people who went to school with Sara and the people in this part of town mostly thought similarly. Sure, some didn’t, but it seemed more like People who wanted equality for people like him were few and far between.

“It just doesn’t seem right that I could be bought and made a pet because of a technicality in DNA. I’m grateful for what you’ve done for me. I just have trouble wrapping my head around the fact just because I’m small now; your family could buy me or someone like me when just last week you wouldn’t have been able to.” Jordan asked as nicely as he could. He didn’t want to start anything with Sara. So, he tried to ask it more inquisitively than blaming her in any way.

“This is stuff you don’t really need to worry about anymore. But buying a person and buying an underbred aren’t equal. We’ve talked about this; you’re a different species. You aren’t a person like me. You’re an underbred. You can be bought because you are a form of property, just like I bought Mocha, or I would a dog, a hamster, or a rabbit. Like all the other species, you are granted the rights that are relevant and you need by people. Like, as an underbred, you have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. Underbreds shouldn’t be subjected to unnecessary harm or suffering. It’s why people like Sadie are disgusting. How she degrades her mother just because she is an underbred is wrong. I could never do that to you. What she does is borderline animal cruelty. It’s why you should be thankful to have a guardian like me who cares and looks out for you.” Sara said as she reached over and gave Jordan a gentle pat on the head.

“So basically, you are saying everyone like me is just property,” Jordan asked.

“Well, yes, but it doesn’t mean you aren’t loved and cared for. People love their pets and die for their pets. You hear stories all the time about people burning alive in fires as they stay in their homes looking for their pets. But, yes, you are correct; that is a core difference. As I mean, as horrible as Sadie is, she couldn’t be bought. Buying her would be slavery, which is wrong and has been outlawed. As it would be buying another person.”

1. Kinda was hoping Tiff would be checking in with Jordan, I’m imagining mocha probably got daily pets as well

2. Sara’s subtle “Make Jordan think I’m good by making sure he only sees worse options” plan seems to be working.

3. Sara calling underbred abuse “animal cruelty” was fucked up.

4. Always nice when Sara mentions loving Jordan, and if she’s a good guardian maybe she can earn some of his love in return.

5. Does this mean next dream sequence he’ll be Tiffany’s

6. Good to see Jordan figuring out how to get information from her, without making her lie to him.

7. A. Not sure Sara actually understands slavery if she thinks what she’s doing is different.

7. B And how can she brag about protecting him from getting enslaved if she doesn’t think it would count as slavery?

1. Well in 239 she saw he was a bit down and sge did ask Sara and Ellie, he was right there and she still didn’t actually ask him. Tiff wouldn’t get him that much, but she also wouldn’t drag him everywhere, she’d probably leave him in a habitat so he can watch Netflix on his phone or something, so it depends what you’re into who’d be better.

2. And twisting those fed thoughts to her favour.

3. I mean all abuse is animal abuse, as people are animals it’s not the same you know, he’s still a human after all.

4. Agreed, but it’s not real love, it’s a selfish love, she loves him like how I loved the animals on the farm, it’s just fucked up she’d apply that to a sentient being.

5. Ooh I’d love too see all those sequences.

6. Shouldn’t have to, but that’s Sara for you.

7. A yes and no, Slave owners throughout history have always found “justifications” as to why their slaves aren’t equals, Sara’s logic of “you are not considered my equal therefore it’s ok for me to own you” is exactly the same as countless slave trading cultures throughout history, including America. Sara seems to be thinking that as he is not the same species as her it doesn’t count, but “not the same species” is an excuse we’ve seen before in slave trading societies. So Sara may understand slavery, it could just be cognitive dissonance that’s preventing her from realising.

While it’s isn’t the same as historical slavery, it’s still not an acceptable way to treat him.

7. B. That may be what she meant, but she explicitly said slavery, multiple times and while I agree any living thing can experience cruelty, only sentient species can be enslaved which Jordan still is.

Sara was definitely manipulating him (still is) but I agree she’s trying to seem better than she is by making others look worse, and definitely ignoring that better options are definitely out there, (even going as far as to prevent him from being around people he’s familiar with like Emma and Danielle).

An Image on my birthday that’s cool.

Anyway, so most Smallara victims are just intelligent pets to a degree. Kind of a chilling thought.

Happy Birthday!!

And yeah, part of me wants to think Sara is in the minority and more people are like, Mal, Emma, Danielle and Chloe, but there’s definitely an ominous vibe.

I’m standing my ground that they are still 100% human beings, should maintain their rights, and be treated with full respect and dignity. Even with them being fully dependent. Is dwarfism not a genetic mutation, to a lesser extent then smallara? People born without limbs etc? Size, shape, color, and creed should play no role in the infringement of rights and discrimination.

Little’s are fully sentient and just as capable mentally as a regular person. I’m sure some are doctors, engineers etc. They need to be protected and taken seriously, not paraded around, diminished, and manipulated as novelties, especially by immature teens, let alone young adults.

As Lethal pointed out even slave traders always justified their lifestyles as it was an accepted attitude at the time, but not by all. Sara seems to be on the precipice but is conveniently taking the short road because of the “this is just how it is” mentality, without considering WHY there’s a growing movement for equal rights. She’s cautiously testing the waters of being on the right side of history. At Jordan’s expense mind you…

It’s starting to feel like she only treats him this way because this is what she’s been taught. The classes are the enabling authority shes adhering to on top of “supporting” classifications by the government. She had this whole situation drop in her lap and instead of being a pioneer shes taking it a face value. While she’s not doing the bare minimum, it honestly feels like her idea of the bare maximum.

It seems they give guardians such an insanely broad behavioral spectrum to work with, and that’s acceptable. She could treat him like Chloe likely would, but she doesn’t have to, so that’s okay in her mind. But she clearly see’s why treating him like dayton or Sadie would be not just bad for Jordan, but bad for her and her image. All while Jordan and thousands of others are just trying to exist.

Littles are called “Homo Parvus” and homo in that context literally means “human” so even the science of the universe agrees that their humans. And I agree there are plenty of disabled people who can’t contribute to society in the real world, they deserve the same kindness and respect as anyone else.

We’ve seen Lisa in the universe already so it’s not like little employment isn’t an option, plus Bryce being forced to get a job to support Mia and a great number of jobs can be done from home, so there’s no reason Jordan couldn’t get a job. I also believe minimum age being 12 is way too young.

(Hehe, that’s me) I’d like to point out that littles have only existed for a decade, so cultural integration of them is only just starting though why they defaulted to slavery is weird to me. She’s made it clear she’s disgusted by people who see them as equal so I don’t think she’s teetering quite like you said.

The guardianship classes definitely affected how she sees him Asuka mentioned that Sara’s treatment of him is based on “how she was raised” which doesn’t really make sense to me as she wasn’t raised around littles in fact she was likely 14-15 the first time saw one in person. Though the guardianship classes indoctrinating her makes way more sense, (she has already credited them for why she views him as lesser in a previous slide). The classes are also mandatory for anyone who wants a little or has a relative the intend to care for, so it’s possible guardians even with better mindsets ahead if time would be affected and treat their littles less than they actually intended. She doesn’t just do the minimum, but when she does do more it’s always with ulterior motives or in exchange for something.

Guardians do all seem to act differently, I’m very curious about looking at more (better) relationships between littles and their guardians. Sara does condem Saddie, and to a much gentler extent Dayton (though I don’t think Sara’s that much better than Dayton) Sara definitely is considering her image/reputation which is why she’s at her worst without supervision. Jordan and the other littles are definitely suffering in this system, and I’m interested to see how the social worker will evaluate and process how Sara treats him.

The president’s belief on little rights and his, “rights begin at 19 inches” stance is likely a factor, but there are entire rallies and protests going against him, I’d hardly call Sara’s “not being as cruel as she could be” a rebellion as she’s clearly fully within the President’s rulings and teachings. And Americans going against and disagreeing with their president isn’t exactly rare, (to my understanding) multiple characters have expressed out right disgust at the teachings.

Chloe is one I’d say would rebel against the teaching, and is one of the few who’s called Sara out for how she acts, so it is possible she makes her a better person (Ashley mentioned a change from when she was dating Kaitlyn).

While I agree that they couldn’t survive on their own, they shouldn’t be treated as property they should be helped as if they were simply disabled people and you are right in saying Jordan technically consented, though most littles’ consent isn’t considered.

Comparing it to indentured labour may seem nice and I understand your point to a degree, one of the most important differences between indentured labour and slavery is that indentured labouers are only working to earn their freedom, either until their dept is paid or their sentence is over, Jordan and any other littles in his situation are never going to be free, that’s why I think it’s more like slavery than indentured labour, and indentured labourers aren’t considered property either.

People have most definitely consented to slavery before, usually to avoid worse fates, which is exactly what happened when Sara made her ultimatum with Jordan, she basically told him “Be mine or I will jettison you into the unknown” his options were slavery with her or slavery with someone else (at least that’s what she made him think his options were.) if his options were “stay with her or be free” then I’d agree that he isn’t a slave for choosing to stay with her.

It’s morally disgusting, not better than the last time the USA had legal slavery acting like he’s not of sound mind just because his body mutated is a horrible reason to treat them differently. (and at no point did I think you were pro-slavery, I’m sorry if my words felt accusatory in that.)

Jordan has been threatened though, the possibility of getting “spanked” or “grounded” loom over him and it’s not exactly clear what would cause Sara to use these again, he also can voice his displeasure but Sara has stated that he’d be punished for “complaining” and silenced him when he’s tried previously which has already been enough to make him keep his mouth shut about his grievances in other instances.

Adults typically wait 2-3 years before assigning their children chores, they earn the privilege to do so in that time, Sara couldn’t wait 24 hours before putting him to work, during which time she’d given him more reasons to resist her than obey.

Comparing modern minorities to slavery, seems a bit unfair, especially with the overcompensations a lot of modern governments are making to “fix” their struggles.

Jordan’s situation is interesting, It can’t neatly fit into most categories but I do believe that slavery is the closest match. I’m enjoying your perspective on the matter though.

ABSOLUTELY 💯💯💯 a pet love how she explains it to him💗 the collar says it all hopefully she changes it to a pink one. Hopefully also she really decides to put diapers on him it be way more efficient as earlier she was impatient as he was taking his sweet time changing. She will be just to busy at times when he has to go she can just change him when he needs it. Hopefully she does the dressing of him soon to instead of him just more efficient way of getting things done like a whittle doll. See the little pipsqueaks she babysits are way more mature than he his👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️
