“Okay, I have questions. 1st, I didn’t know you were guardian trained.” Sara said, trying to hide her shock.
“Yeah, it was important to my parents even though we are immune. We saw first-hand it was real several years back. So, unlike the doubters here, they thought it was important to prepare for the eventual reality. Especially once they had testing and we found out we were all immune. So, my whole family got trained. We don’t own any underbreds or anything. It’s mostly just so we can help out the little rodents since they can’t help themselves, apparently.”
“Your family is really big on helping out those in need. Mine don’t do anything like that. I was honestly a bit surprised I managed to convince my mom to let me keep Jordy here. She was very much it’s so expensive and lifetime commitment. You are already so busy, and it’s so much money.” Sara said, doing an imitation of her mother in a mocking way.
“God, that would be nice. I don’t mind helping out; it’s just not my lifestyle, but my parents are all you don’t realize how good you have it. You’re so privileged. It’s important to give back and help others. But it’s like, I’m sorry, It’s not my fault we aren’t poor and I’m not sorry I wasn’t born a rodent. I shouldn’t have to be sorry for being a person.” Maisy huffed a bit as she looked down at Jordan. “So, I guess just bring him over to the maze,” Maisy instructed, sounding a bit annoyed, before walking over to the other table where she had set the maze that she built down with her sister.
Sara stood up with Jordan in her hand as she followed behind Maisy. Jordan clung to her hand, relieved to not have to go with Maisy. While Jordan wished Sara would have ripped Maisy a new one, she did at least nicely instruct her to show him some respect. Even if the notion fell on deaf ears, or so it seemed.
“Okay, little one, you need to navigate this Maze as quickly as possible. We are going to test you today, and then in a few days, we will test your fellow animal competitor. The maze between the two attempts won’t change or anything. Sara will be at the entry side, and I’ll be at what should be your exit side. So, the clock only stops when you come out my side.”
“Okay, okay, I may have been roped into this, but I’m not going to run some maze like a lab rat. No way, no how. There is nothing you can do that is going to make me want to do this. Sara, I’m sorry, but this is degrading.” Jordan said, turning his back to the maze.
“Sara said you wouldn’t do this. So, I’ll tell you what: we’ll give you 1000 Sara Points if you cooperate throughout the experiment.” Maisy said.
“A 1000?” Jordan said, stunned.
“What!!” Sara exclaimed simultaneously with Jordan’s statement in complete shock.
“What? Aren’t Sara points like Australian dollars, where the conversion rate is like 1/100th of a cent compared to American dollars? It’s like having free money when we used to vacation there before the outbreak hit; it’s great. You give them 100 dollars American, and they give you back like 200 dollars Australian didgeridoos or whatever they’re called.
“I’m pretty sure it’s still dollars even in Australia, and they aren’t called Sara points were stopping that narrative right now, and he’s not getting a thousand of them,” Sara said
“She prefers Sara Buckaroo’s,” Jordan said with a smile
“Oh my god, each buckaroo could have a picture of Sara coming out of a kangaroo pouch holding the buckaroos in each hand,” Maisy said while laughing
“They aren’t called Sara Buckaroos or Sara Points; this narrative is ending. Stooooop” Sara said in a fake whine.
“You are too fun to tease.” Maisy said “But seriously let’s see I only have five hundred dollars in cash on me right now. So, here’s 400 that should get him enough Sara Points or points.” Maisy said, pulling the wad of cash from her purse.
“You just carry that around?” Jordan said, shocked, looking up at the wad of cash in her hand
“This? This is just my pocket change for emergencies. I don’t actually carry money around.” Maisy said as she held out the cash.
“Maisy, you can’t buy points,” Sara said.
“What? You can buy everything.” Maisy said, trying to hide her surprise. “The Sara points are clearly worth more than Australian Diggerydoos or whatever you call them,” Maisy said as Jordan stared up at the cash in Maisy’s hand that she put back into her wallet.
“Dollars, Australian dollars. How do you go to the country and not know what the money is called.” Sara asked
“Pretty easily, but that doesn’t seem right. They definitely weren’t using dollars. It looked different. It has that Fisher Price fake money look to it. You know, like Canadian money.”
“Canadian money is called dollars, too,” Sara said
“Well, whatever. I don’t memorize the currency of every country like you. Besides, it costs more to get to these places than you actually spend in them.” Maisy said, looking down at Jordan. Her eyes began to narrow as an idea formed in her head.

I’ve been picturing Charity shrinking down to about 11 inches tall, about Barbie’s size, and since Maisy likes treating them like pets, she could dress her up in a custom size poodle costume and carry her around in one of those small dog carrier bags or purse that you see people with small dogs like that in. Then for a final touch get one of those leashes like Mia used in the other story. A picture-perfect pet and owner view. 🤣🤣🤣

I’m welling to give her chance she surprised me in this episode I won’t lie but she still has a lot of work to do for me to even consider her a good character hell even a likeable person maybe I should have said I was starting to like her and said getting use to her because she a a hole with calling Jordan a rodent so f her on that one I don’t know but I at least hope for some redemption for Maisy so I’ll give her that
