“Sara,” Maisy said as she walked beside her and whispered something into her ear. Jordan strained to hear it but couldn’t make out what the two were saying. Despite the whispers being loud. Actually, deciphering what was being said was much more difficult.
“Okay, okay. Jordan, I’m not giving you a thousand points as that’s not a reasonable number of points to give for any activity. However, if you do this and cooperate the entire semester. I’ll agree to let you go on an outing with one of your friends. Since they aren’t guardians, you will need to be chaperoned throughout. This is my final offer, and it expires in 5, 4, 3…” Sara said.
“Okay, I agree. No takebacks, no tricks, no jokes, no games. I’m trusting you.” Jordan said agreeing before she got to zero out of fear of losing the opportunity.
“Not what I suggested but impressive Sara.” Maisy said as she walked to the other side of the maze. “Okay I got the stopwatch pulled up on my phone. Move him into position Sara.”
“I’m not going to screw you, Jordan. I am being honest. As long as you cooperate, I’ll hold up my end of the deal. A chaperoned outing with your friends.” Sara said before moving her hand towards the opening of the maze. Jordan looked upward at the massive opening. He was surprised that Maisy actually built this. He wouldn’t have ever guessed that she was this handy. Not that he knew her personally but most of the popular girls he knew back in high school did not know their way around a power tool.
Stepping off Sara’s hand onto the wooden Maze Jordan peered into the maze through hole. He wasn’t sure how, but he felt like he couldn’t fully trust it. Looking at the wooden wall on either side of the doorway and at the floor he didn’t see any traps, or anything designed to foil him. He knew Sara wouldn’t try anything like that. But he wouldn’t put it past Maisy.
“Here goes nothing,” Jordan said quietly to himself as he stepped through the wooden portal. Behind him Sara stood peering at him smiling. She waved before standing up.
“Okay Jody, start progressing through the maze. You are officially on the clock.” Maisy said looking down at Jordan navigating the maze she had built. It was surreal to see a creature with the amount of intelligence that a little has navigating her maze.
Jordan, meanwhile, could hear his shoes clap against the wooden floor as he walked down the hallway. The face Maisy hung in the air giving off a feeling that she was some kind of god staring down at him in this fucked up world. As he made it down the first corridor, he came to a choice. Three different ways took him to the left. He already hated this. He was literally being judged. He could hear Sara taking notes as scribbling something in her notebook. They both had a gods-eye view of this maze. He knew they had already solved the way through, and here he was, struggling with the first decision. Knowing he is wasting too much time. Jordan just took the first turn. He needed to be decisive if he was going to make It through this.

3) A maze is a pretty rough challenge, he can’t sniff his way to the answer so he’s at a bit of a disadvantage over the rodent.

1) they would be, and since she was building little houses and this maze, who knows how handy she could be, But Sara has definitely trapped him before and I maintain she’d do it again.

Well at least it’s a fair deal from Sara so good on her and glad that Jordan gets something out of very degrading test but I wonder who he will choose for this hangout and is just one time (which isn’t fair for Jordan regardless) or has earned the right to see his friends more than once
I’m wondering what Maisy’s suggestion was. I would guess coming from her it would probably be what an owner would give their dog for a job well done. 😁

Maisy: (whispering in Sara’s ear) “Just pour some little pellets in my hand he’ll come ruining to me for some of those things even if he doesn’t like me for whatever weird reason, it’s like how I trained my dog to not bark at my grandparents.”
Sara: (thinking to herself) “He doesn’t even know what they taste like or if he even likes them, Oh but I do know something I can bribe him with”
I can actually see that being the plan idea Maisy would have, and Sarah not going to it down because she already knows that Jordan all out refused when they last talked about the stuff.👍
