Jordan continued to navigate the maze, working his way through twists, turns, and dead ends. It was infuriating but he also had to admit it was a bit fun as he was truly trying to work his way out of here. He remembered running through simplistic mazes as a child but nothing like this. Whenever he would look upward seeing Sara and Maisy’s faces hanging in the sky was a bit surreal. He knew they were watching him, but he could tell they weren’t actively focused on him at this second.
The conversation they had was shifting to what they were doing for the weekend. Jordan wanted to voice his dissent as Maisy invited Sara over to her place on Saturday to hang out. Jordan could do nothing to stop Sara from agreeing as he found similar to his glass habitat. The glass ceiling of the maze was drowning out his voice. So, while he could hear both girls clearly, they seemed to be unable to hear him.
It was frustrating to be so powerless against glass, which was turning into his greatest foe. But he knew in this case, at least, it was truly accidental. As Maisy had no way of knowing his voice didn’t carry through glass as she seemed mostly uninterested in littles. The idea of having to spend weekend time with Maisy was infuriating but he pretty much went everywhere Sara went. The odds of him being able to convince her that hanging out with Maisy was a bad idea seems slim being she’s been pushing to be friends with her.
“I always thought you were just one of Mallory’s followers. I had no idea you were actually a pretty cool person. I guess school is good for something. If they hadn’t made us project partners, I would have just lumped you in with the rest of her clique.” Maisy said as she looked down at Jordan to check on this progress before looking back up at Sara.
“Thanks. I mean, Mallory is my friend, but she doesn’t define me, you know.” Sara said
“Wait so Mallory is just your friend. I thought you were like besties with her.” Maisy asked
“No, Ellie and Chloe are my best friends. I mean, Chloe is also my girlfriend. But Mallory is just my friend. I mean, when the whole fallout happened with Kaitlyn, I’m pretty sure she only sided with me because of Ellie and Chloe. Gavin, who Mallory is dating, was also my best friend, but that’s complicated now.”
“Oh right, he was infected. I heard about that. I never would have guessed he wasn’t immune. I heard his parents are immune, but they aren’t trained and couldn’t take him on or something.” Maisy said as she draped her arm over the maze.
“Yeah, so Mallory stepped in as she went through training with Ellie and me. But, ever since.. never mind, it’s nothing.” Sara said, changing the subject. “Jordan is doing better than I expected. I thought he would get hung up more, but he’s making good progress considering he’s doing it sight unseen.” Sara said.
1. At least he’s able to have some fun in the maze.
2. Perhaps he could get Sara to have her play date with Maisy without him. (Though it’s possible he’ll need to be there)
3. It’s fun thinking of Sara as someone’s subordinate lol.
4. The compliment at the end was nice.
5. Adding to the list of Jordan’s enemies… glass apparently, not a particular glass just the material.
2) Anything is possible.
3) Well Sara is below Mallory in the pecking order. So she would be Mallory’s subordinate. In reality, she’s Below Ellie and Chloe as well if there was a ranking. However, the closeness of the friendship between Ellie and Chloe obviously factors into things which a straight ranking would not depict.
4) She’s just being honest.
5)Very accurate. Glass is a little’s weakness. As their voice can’t carry through the substance. It basically turns them mute. So it would be a pretty big foil for all littles.
5) ok, but wouldn’t most materials also do that? I wouldn’t be surprised is a little couldn’t yell their voice out of a cardboard box, but glass gives the advantage of seeing what’s in the other side, this could be viewed as somewhat tantalising, but there’s also the option to try and get their attention visually so they can talk to you then, which doesn’t exist with other materials.
Oh, that’s definitely true other materials would pose the same difficulty. It’s just Jordan specifically has encountered glass repeatedly. He hasn’t been thwarted by cardboard, metal or other materials yet.
I mean his habitat is glass, the maze has the glass ceiling. He has just happened to encounter that most often when he needs contact someone.
A weekend with Maisy can’t say I don’t agree with Jordan about not liking the idea of that but maybe it won’t be so bad…….. oh who am I kidding it’s probably going to led to some issue. Great that He is having fun with the Maze. Now I kinda want to see Kelli vs Maisy cause I know she’ll make sure her opinion is felt amongst the people especially Maisy and Jordan tries to calm the situation. Also interesting on Sara and Mallory relationship honestly didn’t seem like that before hand but again friendships can be complicated so give you that overall good chapter
You are right. Friendships are complicated, and events that hurt one person, to the other may seem like no big deal or the depth of which was it mattered.
Kelli is much more outspoken then Jordan is. Which could cause its own problems for her but she would make her thoughts known.
Unfortunately, I see that the story will not delve into issues that could have been discussed, for example the way in which Gavin showed his desperation to Sara and asked her for help and the indifferent way that Sara acted, even more so considering that she considered him her best friend before him. shrink. Gavin’s desperation and lack of any hope of anyone intervening in his favor could lead him to take drastic, desperate, extreme actions of those who no longer have any hope and which could have a profound impact on Sara, Mallory, Jordan and other characters. , But unfortunately the story will not address more complex and deeper themes.
An exercise in futility and indifference are vastly different. I also feel like you’re jumping to conclusions as to whether Sara will do anything. As you don’t actually know what Sara thinks about Gavin’s situation. As it wasn’t included on purpose.
You seem to be under the impression that nothing will happen if something doesn’t immediately happen or unfold the way you want it to right now.
We aren’t even through the first week. Nothing on the level of what you are talking about will happen this early into the story as the world is still being set up. You aren’t introduced to Han Solo and Luke Skywalker on one page, and then, 20 pages later, the Death Star is getting destroyed.
The rules of how this world operates are different from our own. It’s not and never intended to be a one-to-one depiction of our own world and timeline. Events, scenarios, and people of our world may or may not exist in this world and its timeline or unfold similarly.
However, you’re talking about complex and deeper themes, all events all of which normally happen much deeper into any story. From the start, I created this story to be a long-running story that unfolds over an extended period of time.
At this point, only now, as a reader, are you aware of most of the people in Sara’s life and have an idea of how they are connected and their influence on her life.
Canonically, Gavin hasn’t even had Smallara that long, nor has Jordan. Desperation and losing hope are extreme conclusions to draw. It would be like going to war, and then the moment the other side fights back or fires a shot. Just turning around and going home as all hope was lost the moment any sign of adversity or difficulty occurred.
We aren’t even to the first time skip of the story yet. This is all still very early.
So I wouldn’t rule out what you want to see happening. But, anything like that would be a ways off if it were to happen.
Either way, thanks for your thoughts and feedback. I will give it the same consideration I give all the feedback. If it can be incorporated in a way that fits the story it will.
Hopefully that can be a foot worshiping 🦶🦶 session at Maisy’s time to put whittle jordy poos tiny itty bitty hands to good use💯💯💯🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 maybe give both girls new pedicures this is stuff he has to get used to anyways💯♥️♥️♥️♥️🦶🦶 please 🙏🏻 I just want Sara and the girls humiliate him💯💯💯🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I haven’t heard Sara call him Jordy recently? What’s going on with that? Hopefully a humiliating nickname can come back for him🙏🏻💯I just really hope 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💯💯💯 he soil’s himself so Sara can break out tiny diapers on him as he struggles and she just holds him in place as she puts it on him💯💯💯🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 imagine his former friend and girlfriend seeing him like that collar plus diaper 👌💯🙏🏻♥️
She’s still going with the Jordy nickname. She continues to use it in future chapters.
I was just thinking, all this talk about the glass barrier communication problem and how Jordan can’t communicate to Sarah or anyone else, got me thinking about the collar and how she said that it has a camera and a microphone. I was thinking how cool and helpful it would be if Jordan was able to verbally contact Sarah through the collars app, by using a voice command to start the link, kind of like how a person would use the Alexa Dot to contact somebody by phone. But being that it has to go through the app then if Jordan wanted to contact anyone else Sarah would have to have those names and numbers synced into her app and I’m pretty sure if she does do that The only name she would probably have is Chloe Ellie and maybe her mom. Also another good thing about it if anything goes wrong with the app and Jordan notice anything wrong going on in the house when Sarah or anyone else is not around and he cannot link up to the app on her phone there may be a way to contact a 911 emergency. That would be pretty helpful in finding the guardian and the ward.
I really like this idea. This will most definitely be incorporated into a future episode
