“Hello, Girls,” Ms. Brooks said as she walked over to Sara’s desk.
“Hello, Ms. Brooks,” the girls said in unison.
“Jordan, how are you? Are you adjusting to everything? We missed you yesterday.” Emily said as she sightly bit her lower lip as her eyes traveled over to Jordan. She felt a bit of relief that he was okay.
“Yeah, I was…” Jordan got out before Ellie interrupted.
“He was grounded. It sucked. He really lacks consideration for others sometimes. You don’t have to Worry Ms. Brooks. As his godmother, I made sure to check in.”
“Godmother? I wasn’t aware.”
“Well, Sara and I are basically sisters, so It’s only natural, as his aunt, that I would be the godparent to this little guy,” Ellie said.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Brooks. We can only control her so much.” Chloe said
“What? What did I say?” Ellie said, looking over at Chloe and Sara.
“I’m just happy to see Jordan in such capable hands. I was actually wondering, Jordan, if you were able to stop over Friday night. I was having a few people over, and maybe we could catch up?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, Ms. Brooks. Jordy has plans on Friday.” Sara said, looking over to Jordan.
“Y-yes, Sara is; I mean, we’re going to some kind of party already. But maybe another time.”
“Right, right, of course. It was silly to ask.” Emily said as she stepped back, and her eyes navigated to the collar around his neck. She could see Sara’s name emblazoned on it with her address, leaving her to only assume his name was on the other side. She fought the urge to comment further.
“Ms. Brooks, if you want to do something with little Jordy here. You just have to reach out to me. Our schedule is quite full, but with enough notice, I’m sure some kind of chaperoned outing could be arranged.” Sara said as sweetly as possible.
“Chaperoned?”
“Yeah, I was under the impression that you weren’t a guardian. It would be irresponsible of me to release him into the care of someone,” Sara said with a bit of a pause. “Unqualified to care for him,” Sara said as she set Jordan down on her desk in front of her.
“Yes, of course, I wasn’t even thinking. I would never want Jordan to be in any danger.” Ms. Brooks said.
“But, I’m trained, and so are several of my friends. I’m sure even if I was busy, I could find someone to send along to supervise some kind of pre-planned outing. I would never want to get in the way of Jordy seeing his old friends. But we must follow the rules. Isn’t that what you always say, Ms. Brooks? I know when I had my little accident, you were quite clear on the rules and dates.” Sara said in the kindest of tones as she gave Jordan a gentle pet on the head.
“Yes, yes, you are right. Things must be done by books. I will be sure to reach out to you, Sara.” Emily said as she started to walk back towards her desk.
“Y-yes, please do. I know Jordy here would love to see you.” Sara said sweetly before looking down at Jordan. “I’m sorry that we already had plans, Jordy. We had already committed to the party at Chloe’s. But if she gets enough advanced notice. I promise you we will do everything we can to make it work. But I just can’t release you into the hands of the untrained.
1. I feel so sorry for miss Brooks, this must be so hard for her, especially because she went to check on Jordan, she likely missed out by just a few hours.
2. Why do I feel like Sara’s schedule won’t open up for at least three and a half in world months?
3. Chloe apologising for Ellie is hilarious.
4. No Ellie, you and Sara were being inconsiderate by leaving him on the ground without a way to safely contact you to.
5. When did Ellie check in yesterday?
6. Sara doesn’t want him with his friends unsupervised, but left him with Dayton barely supervised and knew she was bullying him.
7. What was Sara’s “little accident”? Her suicide attempt?
1) That is quite true. If Jordan had waited a few hours or Emily had come a few hours earlier, things would have been different. But life is often a game of moments.
2) Sara has a wide range of social commitments and obligations. I’m sure she will make every effort to pencil Emily in /s But in all seriousness it was pretty last minute. Sara did genuinely have plans so there isn’t much Jordan can say sadly.
3) hehe
5) At school, Just because Jordan wasn’t there it doesn’t mean things didn’t happen. Life still goes on and all that. Plus you know when Sara showed up to school without Jordan Ellie immediately probably gave her the third degree.
6)Well, Sara doesn’t specifically like Ms. Brooks and Ms. Sanchez. She may feel differently about other friends. That does play a large factor.
7) Correct
1) Yeah, but that’d make it worse for her.
2) it was last minute, but I said three and a half months because that’s how long till he can afford the outing in point (approx. assuming he hits every day)
5) I thought she meant checked in with Jordan, not Sara, but both Steph and Ellie were unimpressed with Jordan’s absence.
6) what has that got to do with anything? Jordan doesn’t particularly like many of Sara’s friends, the only one we know he does like is Chloe, but he still has to put up with the rest, it’s really the least Sara could do.
7) Does Emily know it was a suicide attempt or was she just told “Sara was in an accident” and given nothing more? and were they her rules or the school rules? cause, depending on that context she may have been being oblivious, unsympathetic or powerless.
2) well, if Jordan cooperates with the science project, he does get a supervised outing as well.
5) that is very true.
7)the school and her teachers would know. The students wouldn’t outside of her close friends.
2) at the end of the semester which would be much further away.
7) ok. so that’s either lack of sympathy or beyond her power to help. It makes sense that Sara may not like her for that reason, but I’d be interested to know if Sara’s behaviour had sabotaged any goodwill Emily may have felt towards her before the attempt.
2) True, but who can say how busy Sara’s schedule is. I wouldn’t put it past her to pack her schedule full with legitimate activities to avoid having to do it.
7) The way i wrote the backstory I merely included that Sara is a good student and the animosity she feels toward Ms. Brooks is because of her lack of understanding when Sara felt she was at her lowest.
Coming up there is some discourse on possibilities as to the other side but nothing concrete like you are probably looking for.
2) yeah, she totally would. I can also see her canceling the outing by “accidentally” double booking herself or dawdling her getting ready so as to shorten the outing.
7) OK, I’ll wait until we get this more information.
Ahhhhh crap now the Emily x Jordan movement has begun and now is rivals the Kelli x Jordan movement dang it I don’t know how to feel about this on one hand he can rekindle his previous relationship but on the other hand he can be with someone who is in the same situation and is seems like a great person to be with damn it!!!!! We’ll have to wait and see for now.
Also glad Sara is supporting Jordan in hanging out with his friends and hopefully soon his family again so I’m proud of her there and Ellie is always fun to watch her say her proclaimed titles for Jordan here and Chole trying to keep under control lol
Although we don’t know how Jordan feels about the Emily X Jordan movement. Emily did break up with him. We don’t know how Jordan feels.
Sara did reach out to his family. She talks with his sister Allison.
So what you’re saying is that the Kelli x Jordan movement is still going strong hahahaha I knew it!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah Sara did do that. Well can’t wait to see him reunite with them soon though
Lisa is the only character hm Jordan’s actually flirted with in the story so far.
“It would be irresponsible of me to release him into the care of someone“
Come on Sara, what about Dayton and Nicolle?
I’m sure Sara is just making excuses.
She’s definitely making excuses, she also wouldn’t let it work until Jordan earns enough points.
but technically on Sunday Dayton never left Sara’s sight when she was with Jordan, and on Tuesday Nicole’s Guardian Training meant she could count as a supervisor, so he was never actually left alone with an untrained individual. (I also tried to find evidence she was being a hypocrite).
Sure. I totally forgot Nicole had guardian training despite her young age, which makes me wonder how old a person must be to be a supervisior. Anyway, I still feel Sara is jealous about Jordan hanging out with his old friends. I wonder how will be this chaperoned outing, if Sara will gives them some privacy or “playing gooseberry” all the time
The minimum age for guardianship is 12 (use to be 13 but it was retconned).
Sara is absolutely jealous, she likely knows Daniela or Emily could likely make him happier than she ever could and they’d both pretty happily take him in. I’m also looking forward to hopefully see a chaperoned outing one day, though I doubt Sara would leave them alone, and if she did she’d be eavesdropping thought the tech in his collar.
You know what would be really cool and fun to see? If at the party jorden and Sara are going to there will be a small place like the maze Jorden went in to before but instead of a maze it’s a small chambers that the giant put there tiny pets in whail they’re at the party. And instead of wood walls it’s glass. When Sarah put Jorden in it, he could see next to his chamber ther are small frog, mouse, turtle, and maybe a tiny tiny monkey that one of these little kids had as a gift from their parents. So Jorden has to protests and fight his way up cus he didn’t want to be like these animals next to him. Above him teens admiring the small creatures in the glass cage below them, maybe one of them left him up and pet him as if he was a mouse. That could be a fun party for Jorden.
