“There’s my wittle man,” Sara said in a cutesy voice as she gave Jordan several pets before getting her notebook and class materials out. “Oh, Jordan grab my that pen for me” Sara added as she reached down to look to for where her book went. She knew she’d never hear the end of it from Ms. Brooks if she didn’t have it ready.
Jordan looked over at Sara briefly before looking at the pen on the far end of her desk. He walked across her desk and bent down grabbing the pen. As he lifted up, he was still surprised by how heavy it was. It wasn’t unmovable or anything, but it wasn’t low effort either. He thought the mostly clear plastic nature of the pen would have made it lighter.
Jordan pulled the pen over to Sara before dropping it next to her hand. Which made a clattering noise before it settled down and laid crookedly in front of Sara. He could feel the burn in his arms as he walked a few steps from where the pen was but still very much In the Shadow of Sara who had found her book and set it down on her desk.
“Thank you, you’re such a good boy.” Sara said giving him several more pets in appreciation of his deed. “Jordy sit,” Sara said as Jordan looked up to see a small iPad held between her fingers as class was about to start.
“Sara I’m not going to sit on command.” Jordan said pushing back. He understood his place, but he wasn’t about to let her continue to use commands on him as the more she did it others seemed to think they could.
“Oh, do you not want this iPad? Okay then. Just be quiet and listen during class.” Sara said as she started reaching down to put the tiny tablet away.
“Wait,” Jordan said reaching out towards the iPad which was held high above him.
“We don’t have a lot of time so what’s it going to be.”
“I want the iPad. Your classes are boring.” Jordan said
“Then what does my wittle man need to do?” Sara asked.
“Sara, I don’t need commands. I respect your authority. I don’t like how other people like Maisy started to give me commands based on your lead.” Jordan said
Sara narrowed her eyes as she looked down at Jordan contemplating his request. She liked the idea of having commands as shorthand. But she could tell from his words that he didn’t like the commands as much as she did.
“You’ve been pretty good outside of the backyard incident so perhaps we can compromise. I’ll correct anyone else who gives you commands except for me, my family and my girlfriend.”
“Well…I guess that seems reasonable to include your parents and Chloe has been nothing but nice. That seems fine. I mean it, that’s it though.”
“You forgot about Ellie,” Sara said.
“You said, you, family, and Chloe” Jordan said.
“Yeah, and Ellie falls under family. Whenever I say family it’s me, mom, dad, Ellie and now you. Ellie is non-negotiable. There is no deal without her and the whole things off the table in 3..2..” Sara said definitively.
“Fine, but that’s it.” Jordan said relenting. He knew Sara wasn’t going to budge any further. As he knew how she felt about Ellie and he still felt like he was coming out ahead. As he was coming from a position of weakness. Sara could have said no and shot the whole thing down and there was little he could do. But she seemed to want to make him happy.
“Good, you can have the iPad if you tell me Who’s my little man.” Sara said leaning down smiling at Jordan.
“I’m your little man,” Jordan said quietly a bit embarrassed about having to say it with her friends around.
“What’s that? I couldn’t hear you.”
“I’m your little man,” Jordan said in his regular voice.
“Yes, you are,” Sara said with a smile as she gave him several pets before handing him the tiny iPad.
“How long have you had this?” Jordan said grabbing the iPad.
“Oh, I got it the same time I got your clothes. You just had to earn it. When you’re a good little Jordy. You get rewards and perks. As long as my wittle man keeps being good he gets to keep his wittle toys.” Sara said as Ms. Brooks started her lecture and Sara grabbed the pen Jordan had brought her.

This one was fun and on track with the characters. I really like seeing the growth of their relationship. And Sara actually putting more thought and empathy into her interactions with Jordan. She is a teen and it shows in how she gets her way but that’s expected and good for Jordan standing his grond and Compromising.
They are understanding more as they get used to each other. It’s kind of fun to see the character growth they have from where they started.
Jordan getting a bit of a win even if he almost fumbled it with Ellie at the end.
1) “Oh, Jordan grab my that pen for me” geez Sara, you really need this class.
2) giving him commands and chores despite getting in trouble for it last time, she’s really testing Miss Brooks here.
3) fucked up how she’s keeping things like the ipad from him until he “earns it” especially since she expects loyalty and obedience that she hasn’t earned and got rid of all his stuff he already earned before he shrank with no empathy or consideration and she still owes him for that.
4) I’m glad he stood up to her about the comands, she should need to earn them rather than just expecting him to obey “just because”
5) Including Ellie was a bit much, even Chloe felt iff but I don’t think she’d use them too often.
1) Being Ms. Brooks did scold her before It was a bit daring of her to do it again. But, shes gotten used to Jordan so it was probably automatic.
2) Shes unapologetically Sara if nothing else.
3)Well he’s not entitled to an iPad and iPads aren’t cheap. It’s not like its a necessity or anything. She did get rid of most of his stuff but he also couldn’t use it and never would be able to. So a lot of the stuff was kind of pointless to keep around. But, she probably could have been less pragmatic about the whole thing.
4)Jordan seemed to have bigger issues with other people using commands than Sara actually using them. As he did push back but his reasoning was more other people beyond her was doing it then her actually doing it. But it’s also possible that was just the argument he used. It could be interpreted multiple ways.
5) I will say that it has been established even by Sara’s parents that Ellie is considered family. She’s on the chore board, shes over for meals. They take her on the annual family vacation that Jordan just found about. It’s not like it hadn’t been established.
Chloe wouldn’t but Sara chose her words carefully by saying girlfriend. So in theory if she and Chloe didn’t stay together and she started dating someone else they would then be her girlfriend.
I agree that Chloe probably wouldn’t use commands very much. There would need to be reasons. I also don’t think Ellie would either for that matter.
1) I meant because there was a typo or something in the quote (which I see you have altered) making her sentence sound like she needs lessons in talking.
2) I’m hoping the next chapter is Sara getting told off again.
3) I’d say he is entitled to something, she pocketed all the funds from selling everything he ever owned, and she’s even made a point about keeping him away from the discussion and didn’t even check if anything had sentimental value that he wanted to keep for personal reasons.
I’m also annoyed that despite not giving him anything above the essentials for free she expects him to go above and beyond for her, she isn’t entitled to his obedience yet has gotten physical when she didn’t receive it, she really should be treating him better and this is one of the ways she could start.
4) Yeah, especially people he didn’t like, I can’t imagine her stopping Mal or Steph though so I’m unsure if she’ll actually keep her word here.
5) I’d agree that was cleaver wording, but she also didn’t include her fiance, So if Sara and Chloe upgrade their relationship she’d out again until they marry and “Wife” is counted under “Family”.
I actually think Ellie would use them quite a bit (at least at first), I think she’d find it amusing/cute having the power to make Jordan do stuff with few-word commands, she wouldn’t be abusive about it, but I could see her taking it further than Sara with commands like “Rollover” or “Play dead”.

2) Emily and Sara do interact in the next Episode.
3) She hasn’t gotten anything yet. She did pay off all his debts. Which at minimum of 4 years of college wouldn’t have been cheap. Plus credit cards, car payments, etc.
Financially his student loan debt would be somewhere between 50 and 100k assuming he went to school in state. Possibly more depending on what he did for room & board.
He did lose his car but that was actually tiffany’s doing and not Sara’s. Sara would have kept the SUV jordan had. But Tiffany wanted something with more safety features to protect her only child. I do think you have a point but I also think you are overlooking how much money sara paid out.
4) I could see her stopping steph. As Steph is her friend but she isn’t a friend of everyone in the group. So I think Sara would have an easier time telling Steph no then she would Mallory. I’m also not sure Mallory would ever give Jordan commands. As she doesn’t do that with Gavin. She normally asks Gavin to do things for her in a way he can’t say no.
5)I retract my statement. I could totally see Ellie doing that.
3) She paid off his debts because she legally had to, but you also stated that she will make a net profit from selling his stuff meaning he likely owed less than he owned and she’s pocketing some extra money when all is said and done. so I don’t think that counts as “getting him something” as she’s getting more from him.
Sara would have kept the SUV, but she also made it clear that it was HER car now, not his anymore.
Everything else she’s given was bare essential or in exchange for something, even the iPad was offered solely because she’d been getting what she’s wanted from him and almost retracted at the tiniest push back.
4) Valid points on both, unlike Kayla, Steph’s reputation as a gossip has prevented her from instantly getting embraced so Sara may draw that line with her more easily. And Mal likely wouldn’t be too different from how she’d ask something of Gavin.
5) yeah, I thought you’d see it my way once I presented my case. (It’d be funny if Ellie had to have her command giving privileges suspended after Jordan got whingey about feeling humiliated by her.)
3) she could have just made payments she didn’t have to outright pay them off but I do see what you mean. It was thrusted upon her as a requirement not something she was just doing out of the goodness of her heart.
I agree that’s why she gave the iPad but rewarding good behavior is not a new thing. I think what bothers people is they don’t like what she considers good behavior.
5) lol, Ellie losing them for a week or grounded from Jordan. She would hate that.
3) I’m not against the concept of “good equals reward and bad equals punishment”. My issue comes from Sara expecting only rewards regardless of how she behaves (at least in regard to her treatment of Jordan). She doesn’t suffer any consequence she fucks up. While Jordan has to walk on eggshells almost lost the ipad because he asked her to be more polite.
5) I can’t imagine Ellie would get iced out like Dayton (even temporarily), Sara couldn’t do that, she’d just not be allowed to command him, she can still hold and interact with him.
Seeing the growth in their relationship is a highlight every time although I can’t 100 percent agree with Jordan needing commands I will give Sara credit for being fair and compromising with Jordan and how he feels about things and thank goodness for Jordan standing his ground and staying firm about the whole needing commands things was getting out of hand and pushing boundaries for him so I’m glad he not letting too much go past him
It’s fun seeing Sara tease him about the little man things and how embarrassing he gets about it.

– during lunch Kelli is sitting alone while the Sara and Kayla and girls talk thinking about her future and sorta looks into space until Jordan sit next to her asking if she’s okay. She says she fine but then ask Jordan what’s the point in anything if everything is too big for them now. How she everything feels out of reach from having a job, college and her life and Jordan thinks about it and says that’s everything has felt unfair and wrong now that he got smallara but has grown to accept it in a way and thankfully had Sara as much as he doesn’t want to admit but she does care for him and that it better to face the unknown future together and Kelli looks at him and smiles and leans on his shoulder causing Jordan to blush a bit and ask what she is doing and she says just resting as she laughs a bit. Meanwhile Sara and the girls looks at the two littles seeing how adorable they are together causing Jordan to feel more embarrassed.
You are doubling down with kelli x jordan movement I see. only time will tell. I actually just wrote the lunch scene this week. So you should get to find out in a few weeks.

Sara is putting the pet thing on thick today, I know she is trying to push him more into it, but I also think she is trying to show off to Kayla as well. I’m guessing the only Guardian and Ward family she has seen before Kayla and Kelli was Sadie and her mom, which WAS NOT the best representation of real family support…😛
I’m just wondering how Sara would take things when she sees more of how Kayla treats Kelli like a regular sister then a human pet as well how Alison treats Jordan when they ever meet.
Well Gavin and Mallory she would have seen. But, yes you are correct in that her exposure to situations like that are limited. Which would also be true for most people.
