Jordan continued to search through the store he was feeling indecision over what to get. It would have been ideal if he could log into Sara’s Netflix or Disney+ account. However, he knew she would never allow that during the school day.
Although now that he had an iPad Jodan did have an idea with how to use his newfound freedom. He downloaded the outlook app from the store and attempted to login to his email account. He could email people alot easier now that he had an appropriately sized iPad. However, as he attempted to login to his email account, he kept running into login errors.
“Would you stop. You’re flooding my phone, Jordan.” Sara said as Jordan looked up confused.
“What do you mean?” Jordan asked as he attempted to login again and heard Sara’s phone chirp quietly.
“Well for starters, each error you get sends a notification to my phone. Secondly it’s not working because that’s not your email account anymore.” Sara said.
“I’ve had that email account for years. What do you mean?” Jordan said as he attempted to reset the password as Sara’s phone chirped again.
“Your email account is Jordy.Reeves@gmail.com,” Sara said.
“Awww, thanks for supporting the brand babe.” Chloe said.
“I don’t use generimail. No offense Chloe.” Jordan said.
“Well, you do now. I told you before I’ve been into all your accounts. You had one password for everything and no two-factor authentication or backup numbers or anything set. You’re walking security risk.”
“You’re a walking a security risk.” Jordan said quietly as Ellie giggled.
“Oh my god, you two are hilarious.” Ellie said as Kayla snickered.
“I’ve locked down all your accounts. Bank accounts, email, phone, credit cards, 401k, I went through all of them and changed password to standard 16-character alphanumeric passwords not using any real words. They all have two factor set up so even if you know the password you need a code from me. You really thought I paid off all your debts and bills and didn’t have access to your email? I’ve set up an account that you can use from now on.” Sara said as she gave Jordan a had pat.
“You really went into all of his accounts?” Kayla asked.
“Of course, I had to pay all his bills and stuff too. Did you not do the same for Kelli?” Sara said before looking over at Jordan. “Okay so I remotely added your jordy.reeves account to the outlook app you downloaded. The app should automatically open your account when it loads now.” Sara said.
“When did you setup this Jordy Reeves account anyway?”
“Like Saturday night when you went to bed after I got back from the store with Dad. I told you I was going to take care of you. You’re my wittle man now. You do have an approved list of contacts, but it includes everyone you know. Basically, your whole social circle. Ellie, Mallory, Gavin, Me, I just added Kayla and Kelli, I also put Steph, and your sister Allison who you don’t have to email but the option is there.” Sara added
“Umm what about my friends?” Jordan asked
“I added them to the allow list because I trust you. If you break this trust, I’m locking down your account. Just for full transparency. I could look at any email coming and going from your inbox but I’m not actively looking or keeping tabs on you. As long as you don’t violate my trust. I won’t invade your privacy. You’ve been very good. So, I’m rewarding you with trust.” Sara said.

1) Sara also said he wasn’t a per. If there’s one thing in this universe with no value, it’s Sara’s word.

Sorry I couldn’t comment in the last chapter but it was very interesting looking at the political landscape of this world and I hope we get more insight into that part of the story later as for this chapter I really like the banter between Jordan and Sara about his security and password lol and giving him a new email also Sara giving him the opportunity to email his friends was nice touch and the growth in their relationship growing still has some hiccups but it good to gray area levels so not bad.
Prediction time
During Jordan’s chaperone, hang out With Emily he sees the tension between her and Sara and finally has enough of this beef between them and gets to to talk about their issues while explaining to Emily that Sara has been good to him and although can be rough sometimes she does care about him and then he tells Sara that Emily is a good friend and person and she sees that Sara is a top notch student who is very responsible for herself and him and that she just cares about his well being.
Finally he gets the two to talk about their issues and they find out they have some thing in common and the main one being they both care about Jordan and finally become friends with each other.
I feel like this would be a great moment for Jordan showing that he may be small but can have big moments of friendship and the ability to bring people together and help Sara with her more personal issues and show that their friendship has a mutual benefit
That’s not a bad idea. I’m not sure Sara will be the one chaperoning but its subject to change as its so far out.
