Jordan watched the girls gather up their things as Jordan looked at his email client. He got what he wanted, but he could only email a small list of people. The idea of being able to email his friends was nice, but also knowing that Sara could, in theory, look at everything he said made it so he couldn’t speak as freely as he would have liked.
Sara lifted Jordan up, setting him on her shoulder as she gathered things. They started walking out of the classroom, and Sara noticed Ms. Brooks looking at her. Sara waved politely as they walked out of the classroom, stopping once they were out of earshot of the classroom.
“Can you believe her? Ms. Hottie was totally looking at Jordan the whole time.” Sara said, crossing her arms. Jordan tried not to notice Sara’s annoyed glare, but the look was hard to miss. He looked over at Kelli, who was in Kayla’s hand, and just mouthed and told you so to him.
“It did seem like there was a bit of tension between you two,” Kayla said
“Well, she did basically tell her Jordan wasn’t coming to her party or whatever. I’m sure she didn’t like that. She was clearly looking for a hookup.” Ellie added.
“We’re just friends. She wasn’t looking for a hookup.” Jordan said, trying to end that line of thinking.
“Besides, doesn’t he have a date with Kelli,” Chloe said.
“Oh my god, you should have totally agreed and then had Kelli and Jordan show up to her party. Could you even imagine?” Ellie said.
“I don’t think Jordy is equipped for that situation. But more importantly, what are we doing after school? We don’t have to be at the theater till 4:30 for our shift,” Sara said
“Oh, I’m not sure. Well, Kayla Rode with me. So, I’ll have to drop her off before we go to work.” Sara said.
“I could just take the bus like I normally do. It’s not a big deal.” Kayla said. Trying not to be a bother. Kelli wanted to interject but figured it would be better to say nothing. Even if it did bother her how shy Kayla was.
“we’re friends now, Kayla. I’m not letting you ride the stinky old bus.” Sara said.
“Well, umm, if you’re looking for something to do after school, you could come to my house. It’s not far from the theater. You work at the one downtown, right? Off of Manchester Ave?”
“Yeah, that’s the one. Sure, you good with that EL?” Sara said, looking over at Ellie.
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Ellie said, eying Jordan and Kelli.
“We should get going then. We have science. Let’s go, Kayla.” Sara said as she started walking towards science as Kayla ran over to catch up with Kelli, bouncing in her hand.
“See, I told you that you would fit right in. Everyone loves you, and now you’re even in with Mallory. This is the start of something new. Do you play D&D? We had a seat open up. You haven’t met Steph yet, but she runs it. I’ve been friends with her for years. I could get you in no problem.” Sara said as she slung her arm over Kayla’s shoulder as they walked down the hall.
“I’ve never played; my friends were more into the video game side of gaming. But, I’d like to learn.” Kayla said.
“Great, I can get you set up. I have a bunch of dice, so I can just give you some. We’ll just have to sit down with Steph and hammer out your character. Oh, sorry, by the way, about the make-up thing with Kelli. I didn’t mean to cause problems for the two of you.”
“It’s not a problem. We’re definitely going. You can do your raid prog thing after Kayla. It’s just to the store and back with Sara.” Kelli shouted from Kayla’s hand.
“Kelli, I told you I have plans already. We can go some other time.” Kayla said, “She’s always been like this. Her stuff always has to take priority, while whatever I want to do has to wait. It’s not a big deal. She just has to learn the world doesn’t revolve around Kelli Wallace.” Kayla said to Sara.
“Okay, I’m literally right here. That is not true. I Just need stuff, look at me Kayla. I have like nothing. You and Mom didn’t take any of my makeup when you packed up my stuff. What did you even do with my clothes and shoes anyway? I haven’t seen those anywhere either.”
“Well, the makeup was all mixed up with your roommates. It would have taken forever, so we just gave it to her. The clothes and shoes we have. Umm, most of them are in my closet. The ones I didn’t want are just in the basement. We were going to donate them.”
“What? The ones you didn’t want? My closet isn’t a store. All of that should be in the closet in my room. Now you have to move it twice because you don’t think Kayla.” Kelli said
“You can’t use any of it, Kelli. I’m not moving it. If you don’t like it, you can move it. Besides, you said you wanted me as your guardian. So, it’s basically mine now, anyway. I got you some little clothes.” Kayla said, looking down at Kelli. “See what I have to deal with. Jordy seems way easier,” Kayla said to Sara
“You bought all stuff you would wear. It looks like someone shrunk your closet.” Kelli huffed.
“No, it doesn’t because my closet has all your stuff in it.” Kayla retorted.

4) I sympathise with Kelli a bit, both her and Jordan are having to dress based on the tastes of people entirely different from then, but while Jordan seems apathetic it’s obviously far more important to Kelli.
5) Jordan’s mix of joy and distrust is good given the Email situation.
1) Jordan probably would be easier for Kayla then Kelli.
2) Why? She can’t feel for bad what she views as an issue between the two.
3) I wouldn’t say surprised. But, she didn’t think it would be the whole time.
4) Well Jordan is more the kind of person who would just were what he’s given as long as it wasn’t embarrassing or something. But Sara hasn’t given him any clothes that fall into that category.
Whereas Kelli was much more into fashion and style then her sister clearly is. So having to wear clothes in her sisters style is clearly unappealing. As Kayla is a bit basic with clothing and doesn’t like dressing all that girly.
5) seems like a honest reaction.
1) Kayla may be more compatible with Jordan too, I’m not sure the reverse is true though.
2) it just felt a touch out of character, it also seemed like she was apologising for Kelli’s wanting to go.
3) that makes sense.
4) yeah, I’d say is Jordan was to object its more likely to be about comfort rather than appearance.
I think Kayla should have known it was more important to Kelli, maybe taken her to a little clothes store rather than buying clothes for her. (I’m imagining if fates were reversed Kelli would use Kayla like a little dress-up doll, which would be bad for the opposite reason, lol)
Goof god I love this relationship with Kelli and Kayla it just feels so sister like lol I know their sisters actually but I don’t know I just love it. And Kelli theory about the Sara and Emily tension being right was an absolute highlight as Jordan trying to let everyone know that the Emily and him are just friends while Ellie says that he should have been at her party with Kelli yessss the Kellie X Jordan movement grows stronger and has plenty of support yeah 👍 can’t wait to see how science class will go. Nice overall chapter.
Prediction time once again
During the party Karaoke 🎤 is up next with Sara singing songs by Taylor Swift of course then Kelli encourage Jordan to go up and sing at first he says he can’t but Kelli convinces him added with the Ellie and Sara feasting he can’t sing which make Jordan embarrassed but finally goes up to sing and he picks Total Eclipse of the Heart a Song by Bonnie Tyler and to everyone’s surprise Jordan has a voice of an angle singing the song with Grace and beauty as he got lost in the moment not feeling embarrassed for the whole time until he finish he see everyone shocked faces and ask he if was bad until everyone clapping after he you beautiful performance Sara teases him about not mentioning that he could sing but he honestly didn’t know he could while Kelli was super impressed and slightly found it attractive but didn’t mention that to him and just said he did good job and then he make her sing as it was Kellie turn to be embarrassed but went on to sing as well
Just a little wholesome but fun idea I was thinking about for the party
Well I try to depict them as realistically I can. I wanted to depict a very natural sisterly bond.
Ellie I feel like was just wanting the chaos but she doesn’t seem opposed to it so far.
