Sara walked back towards her desk with Jordan in her hand. It had pretty much become second nature for her to move and walk about holding Jordan. She could pretty much move most of her body while keeping Jordan stable and ensuring he didn’t get any kind of motion sickness, which sometimes happened with littles.
Sitting down at her desk. Sara looked over at Mrs. Weller, who was doing some busy work at her desk, which told Sara they probably weren’t doing anything else for the last few minutes of the period. Sara fidgeted a bit, trying to get comfortable as she eased her mind by petting Jordan a bit. She was surprised how much caring for him had helped her not only focus but stay mellow. She liked being able to invest her energy into his care. Even if Ellie teased her a bit about it. Saying Jordan wanted for nothing. She just liked being prepared for every Jordan-related situation.
“Spin around,” Sara said to Jordan as she eyed him, noticing he had gotten a little scruffy. She started to contemplate giving him a shave. As curating his look was important as the poor soul seemed to struggle with any sense of style or fashion. She wondered if Ms. Hottie didn’t bother helping him or if Jordan just fell back into old habits after she left. Either way, she knew she wanted better for her little man. So, she would spearhead the initiative herself. She had already spent a small fortune on outfits. She was glad she had her own money and income. As she knew her parents, mostly her mother, would not approve of how much she had spent on Jordan.
“Everything is turned in,” Kayla said, sitting down next to Sara as Kelli stood in Kayla’s hand, waiting to be released from her sister’s grip.
Sara eyed the small woman, noting her annoyance with Kayla. She never had a sister of her own, so she wondered if that contributed to the unique dynamic between the two of them. It was odd to her that while Kelli was an underbred, she seemed to be the one in charge. She had seen how Kayla seemed to mostly defer to Kelli’s opinions and ideals.
She hadn’t seen anything like it before. In Sara’s mind, Kayla should very much be the one leading the way and guiding Kelli. Instead, it almost seemed the opposite. Although there were a few exceptions, Kayla seemed to really dig her heels into her weekend raiding plans. She could tell Kelli was not used to not getting her way based on how much of a fit she threw at first over not getting to come with her to get makeup this weekend.
Kelli seemed nice enough, but Sara knew she would need to exert dominance over her this weekend. As much as it will be fun to hang out with her. She would not allow Keli to speak to her the way she speaks to Kayla. She wasn’t going to meddle in whatever dynamic they had. As that is their own business. But Sara felt confident that Kelli would defer to her authority. Once that happens, if Kayla asks, she will be able to help her more easily with Kelli.
“Earth to Sara,” Kayla said, looking at Sara, who was lost in thought while petting Jordan. Sara looked down at Jordan, who she could tell as much as he hated to admit it. Enjoyed it when she would pet him. She knew it was as relaxing for him as it was for her. Sara wondered if petting an underbred female would be different. She hadn’t ever had the opportunity to do anything like that with a female underbred.
“Sorry, I was just thinking. I’m so hungry.” Sara said with a bit of a whine.

Wow didn’t realize that petting Jordan help Sara emotionally that much wow. As for Sara seeing Kelli and Kayla dynamic and her planning to show dominance of authority is going to be interesting but I highly doubt it will be easy with Kelli who seems to have plenty of fire in her than Jordan so I hope it is not too easy for Sara this time around because I like that Kelli is more willing to fight and stand up for herself a bit but I’m glad Sara isn’t trying to mess up the sisters dynamic at least
I think if Sara words it right it will go over well.
That’s my main fear because I don’t know if she will word it nicely in a way that won’t get serious pushback by Kelli who is a lot different than Jordan who is shy and is willing to back down most times but Kelli is willing to bark back a someone even if they’re bigger (which I love and hope Sara doesn’t fully take that part of her away completely) but hopefully she handles it better this time than she did last time with Jordan during the first few days

Well petting a dog or a cat can be therapeutic to many people. This wouldn’t be all that different. It would reduce stress, tension, anxiety etc. He is her emotional support underbred.

I think Sara means “exert dominance” in a “good” way, like a dog trainer, making Kelli knows her place and accept her new status as a pet person. Sara always scolds Jordan when he behaves like Kelli, but She still supports him when people like Dayton and Maisy cross the line and mistreats him.
That’s why I think it’s kinda hypocritical because I’ll be honest the first few days were kinda mishandled by her causing some issues in 100 % trust because you can train a dog to know its place but you also have to earn their trust as well and thankfully she is doing better and understands she had her shortcomings in the first place and is more mature about it than before. I just hope she doesn’t go to far in showing Kelli her new status in the world because it’s already hard for her and should be handled diligently because human emotions are very complex in every aspect but yeah it’s good dominance showing but should be handled nicely in some ways
Yes, I totally agree with you. I hope that Sara, as a person who suffers from depression, empathizes with Kelli’s situation putting herself in her shoes despite her conviction that Underbreeds are inferior species.
Exactly that’s what I hope she does empathize and realize the similarities between the situations for both girls and dealing with emotions and the world around them
I don’t know about mishandled as its what its she believes. She doesn’t seem Jordan as equal. She doesn’t think he has the same rights as her.
She acknowledges that he has sentience and is smarter then other animals but he is still a domesticated pet to her.
I think her belief structure was inline with how she treated him. overtime Jordan has earned privileges. Nothing she has done would be considered out of line or abnormal in this world.
Yeah point taken maybe mishandled wasn’t the right word but there were times where her immaturity did show like the whole punching Tamara and for some reason putting blame on Jordan, leaving Jordan with Payton alone, and then dropping Jordan in a purse a bit harshly after moving day. So I’ll leave her view point on Littles alone and credit for handling Jordan and gaining his trust by admitting her faults but I can’t say she did everything perfectly during the first few days
I wouldn’t say she did things perfectly but thats also life. I don’t think I go through a single day where i do everything perfectly.
There are always things that I could ahve done differently if do-overs existed.
Other things maybe didn’t turn out the way I envisioned them but I stand behind those choices.
Which is where I think Sara probably lies. She had gone through training and thought about how she would do things. But the practicality of real life situation probably didn’t always turn out the way she wanted so she learns as she goes just like the rest of us.

Dog trainer is a good way to put it. That was exactly what i was going for when I wrote it. As it can be easy to over look Sara views Jordan a lesser being then a human. So she would still view Kelli in the same way. She may be the female of species but Sara would still view her along the same lines she views Jordan.
Training where you exert yourself as dominant over the animal is different then straight up abusing or being mean liek others have done.

I wonder how will be Jordan and Alisson’s dynamic and how Alisson is treating their parents. Judging by her call with Sara, she doesn’t seem upset with the way Sara is treating her brother.
I think she views sara as a good person and that he is in a good home.

well Sara was mad at Ashley because how she treated Jordan. Same as Maisy neither girl was attempting to assert dominance they were more borderline abusing.
When you are working with animals you often have to assert dominance in order for them to respect your authority.
However when you do such a thing it’s not like you are beating the animal or causing harm to it. Showing dominance and being mean, hurtful or abusive is very different.

If it happens, Mallory will certainly keep loving Gavin, but in a different way, just like Sara loves Jordan.
