“What do you consider regular chores?” Chloe asks as they head back towards the lunchroom.
“Well, he cleaned my earbuds yesterday. He did the baseboards in the kitchen another day, but the baseboards were probably too much for him. That was added to the Better than Revenge list for the future. I ended up cleaning a large portion of the baseboards when he was tuckered out. I try to give him chores fitting his size. Like he is going to clean my keyboards. Which is always a pain as you have to take the keys off, but he should be able to get right in there with the keys still on and just reach down. Worst case, I have a tool he can use to take the key off clean and put it back on.” Sara said
Meanwhile……
Kayla sat nervously, looking down at Kelli. Sara had left with Chloe, and she was sitting here with Mallory and Ellie. It bothered Kayla that her sister was over here having the time of her life. She was much better equipped for such a situation than she was. Looking across the lunchroom, he could see a couple of her friends looking over at her. She wasn’t sure if they were talking about the fact that she was actually eating inside instead of being excommunicated to the far end of campus by Tamara to eat alone or if they were surprised to see her with Mallory’s group.
“Kayla, I spoke with the coach about you taking Dana Williams’s spot. Since she is hurt, we have an opening. So you’ll be with the varsity team from now on. I’ve seen you play. You’re good; you just need a little massaging around the edges.” Mallory said, turning her attention toward Kayla.
“Really? Thanks, Mallory. I really appreciate this. I won’t let you down.” Kayla said, excited to be on the varsity roster.
“I do after practice and off-day training. I got your info from Sara so I will send you a calendar invite. I’m sure Kelli will be able to help you out as well. She’s quite accomplished herself. It really is a shame you caught Smallara. You were really good. Gavin is in a similar situation. He was an athlete, and now it’s hard to compete when the ball is bigger than you.” Mallory said
Kelli hated being reminded that she was no longer able to compete. She already knew Kayla’s shortfalls as a player. As much as she hated to admit it Kayla wasn’t as good as she was. Now, here she was, being relegated to the role of some kind of personal trainer for Kayla. What worried Kelli more was her conversation with Jordan. If she was around Kayla more directly than she had been, would she experience a bonding similar to Jordan and the guy she met at the facility?
The idea of her meek little sister being some kind of authority figure to her was bad enough. If what she and Jordan had talked about was real, she definitely didn’t want to fall under some kind of spell where she was susceptible to Kayla’s influence. So far, their relationship had mostly stayed the same. Outside of the little speed bump about her stupid raiding thing. Kayla still seemed to listen to her.
“Kelli?” Kayla said questioningly, breaking Kelli from her thoughts.
“Oh, sorry, I was listening. I was just thinking about a good training regimen for you, is all. I’ll certainly help you out as much as I can. That’s what sisters are for, after all.
“Great, I figure with a bit of work, we can get you off the bench by next season. I want someone more skilled and competent starting opposite me. Plus it will be nice to have a friend on the team.” Mallory said.
“f-friend…” Kayla stammered
“Yeah, we’re friends now, right? Sara’s friends are my friends.” Mallory said.
“oh man, Steph is going to be so jealous,” Ellie said, laughing before seeing the partially confused look on Kayla’s face. “Sorry, you probably haven’t met her. The school paper goes out to today. She’s also the editor, so she’s not around much on Thursdays until it goes to print. But, she’s Sara’s friend but very much not friends with Mallory and Chloe.” Ellie said.
“I know Chloe and her supposedly found common ground. She’s just a bit of a gossip. So watch what you say around her. I just like being able to speak freely with my friends, and as much as she says, she doesn’t gossip about friends. I can’t trust her and if i can’t trust someone i can’t really be friends with them.” Mallory said

I didn’t post an update on Monday. This is the Tuesday episode. Monday’s episode actually posts sunday night for a large portion of the world.
Kelli is very much not wanting Kayla to have any influence over her.

No, I live in the states. But for the longest time I actually had more traffic from overseas then I did in the united states. Only recently I’ve gained more US traffic But, Since i had so much overseas traffic i just leaned into it and post on their schedule.

Wouldn’t it have mad more sense to upload Monday to Thursday, that way the first day without its respective chapter would be Friday the first of March, as, if you’re taking March off, it would make sense not to post on the First of March?

2) I was not aware that was mostly an American concept according to the internet. So basically it’s just skill level. The best players are on varsity and your 2nd tier players are junior varsity.
