“My hair looks fire, of course I’m posting this.” Steph said.
“You look so good in this. Lazy Sunday Funday with one of my besties.” Sara said as she read out what she was posting.” Before looking over at Jordy and Lisa watching Star Wars.
“So how does this work. Is Lisa like yours? I thought she was your moms assistant or something.” Sara asked curiously after not having seen much of Steph from getting Guardian trained.
“Well, she’s the family little, but she’ll live with my mom becuase of their jobs. I’ll miss her after we graduate.” Steph said, looking over at Lisa.
“I bet, I mean I couldn’t imagine having to leave Jordy here. Plus, he would hate it. Both my parents work to many days with long hours.” Sara said “So what did you think of training?” Sara asked.
“You did not prepare me for training. How the hell did you get Guardian Rank 1? I didn’t even get ranked and I was in the top 3 of my class.” Steph said whining slightly.
“I don’t know. I didn’t try to be ranked 1. I didn’t even know there was a ranking till I was told about it. I just applied myself like I always do. You’ve met my mother. She just uses it as something to brag about to her book club moms anyway. ” Sara retorted
“Sure, sure, you have a fucking plaque. I had to walk by a picture of you at the guardian training center like every day.” Stephanie said. “Sarendipity, #1 ranked guardian.” Steph added in a sarcastic tone.
“Stoop, it’s not my fault. They wanted to use my streamer name as I guess I’ve gotten popular or something. I don’t understand why. It’s just the same dumb stream I always do.” Sara said.
“I’m sure being Miss Little Mart.” Steph said.
“I am not Miss Litle Mart. I’m just the spokesperson for Little Mart. Chloe said she had nothing to do with it. Marketing discovered me on their own, but I think she’s lying.” Sara said questioningly “And I’m not asking you to snoop around Steph. You and Chloe finally are in a good place. Just let it lie.” Sara said with a serious look.
“Okay, okay. Snooping. Scouts honor. I won’t use any of my sources.” Steph said
“so, then are you going to get a little of your own? You went ahead and got trained and all.” Sara asked, looking over at Lisa lying awfully close to Jordy.
“I don’t know. I really just got trained for Lisa. I like being able to take her around. Mom does like nothing, and I wasn’t trained before. I could always stay around here for college like you and Chloe. I did apply here as well.” Steph added.
“You totally should. Chloe and I are gonna get an apartment. Probably something on the east side. She’s big on this industrial look and its close to school. I just want a place big enough for Jordy. I’m only going to school for my mom. Probably just getting my associates degree or a basic business degree. Like I’m all set career wise. I’m basically a full time streamer now.” Sara said as she reached down grabbing a handful of popcorn.
“Well, your mom isnt wrong for wanting you to have a backup plan if streaming doesn’t work out although. “Steph said.
“yeah, yeah, Chloe said the same thing. I love her, but she has like everything mapped out.” Sara said.
“Well, it is Chloe. I’m shocked she wasn’t a forbes 30 under 30 at 12. A;though having seen her binder. There was alot of Sara in it. She loooovvveesss you.” Steph said in a teasing voice.
“She showed you? She won’t let me look at it. You gotta spill.” Sara said.
“Never, you said it yourself. Chloe and I just got in a good place not long ago. I’m not ruining this friendship.” Steph said playfully, shoving Sara.
Lisa looked over at Jordan then over at his dune buggy. “I couldn’t believe how fast we got going down the hallway. I want one.” Lisa said.
“I know it’s great when Mrs. Reeves isn’t here. As then Sara lets me drive around the house. Normally I’m just confined to her bedroom. Ever since Chloe put in the new engine its really had some get up and go.
“So, how’s the hospital? It must be nice having job?” Jordan said
“Well, it’s a nice distraction, but I honestly, I was thinking it must be nice just being able to kick it with Sara all day. That sounds pretty low stress. You don’t have to work. Everything is provided for you.” Lisa said.
“I’ve had to go through high school all over again. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Plus Sara keeps me on a strict meal plan. I have to eat a little pellet each morning if I want people food for lunch and dinner.” Jordan said.
“Well the pellet is an important part of our diet. Our bodies don’t absorb the nutrients from people food the same way theirs does and since we eat smaller portions it leads to malnourishment in Littles unless the done right. Sara works really hard on your diet so you can eat normal food. You should tell her you appreciate it. Alot of guardians just feed their littles pellets for each meal because it’s easier.” Lisa said in defense of Sara.
“She’s always done it. Not the little pellet. That was added later. It used to be all people food. I’m just not a pellet guy you know.They don’t taste good and people food tastes so good.”
“Of course it tastes good. It’s people food.” Lisa said.
“Do you ever miss it? like being a person I mean.” Jordan asked
“No, I don’t. But my life wasn’t great either. My home life wasn’t the greatest. When my dad wasn’t drinking our away or rent money. My mom was snorting it.” There were lots of hungry nights growing up. I couldn’t wait to turn 18 and get out on my own. Thats exactly what I did. I just didn’t think I would catch Smallara few years later.” Lisa said.
“I had no idea. I’m so sorry.” Jordan said.
“It’s not a big deal. I lucked into getting a job at the hospital and while it was a bit lonely at first. Dr. Wilson was always nice to me. She would take me to lunch with her when she had time and went out her way to make it seem like I wasn’t just another medical tool with the only unique thing about being people were assigned to care for me. The Wilson’s treat me like family when they don’t have to. I’d much rather be little Lisa Wilson then where my life was going.” Lisa said. “But enough about me and my sad story. What about you? You had a pretty good life as a person.” Lisa said
“Yeah, it’s weird because it seems so far away now. Like I can recall moments from my prior life but the longer I’ve been a little the more easily it is to recall that part of my life. As my old life almost doesn’t seem real anymore.” Jordan said trying put his feelings into words. “I don’t mind being Sara’s pet. At the time I shrunk…”
“Shrunk? Really? Okay old man.” Lisa teased with a laugh.
“what’s wrong with shrunk?” Jordan asked.
“No one talks like that. You were infected. The virus just shed your husk. They say this is who we always were.” Lisa said.
“Well, when I as infected my ex-girlfriend, but still close friend had dumped me to focus on her career. I had only bought the house to prove to her that I was ready to settle down and I was an adult. So, when that blew up in my face, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do next. I was just sort of going through the motions of life. Work, sleep, bum around. Repeat. Life with Sara is definately more eventful than my old life. Days like these are nice because she’s always doing something.” Jordan said.
“Yeah, I was surprised i got you to myself. Normally Kelli is around you.” Lisa said.
“Oh, Kayla games on the weekends. Kelli hates it so shes probably complaining and whining to Kayla right now. “Jordan said.
“Yeah, they are an interesting couple. So is Kelli going with Kayla?”
“Well Kayla’s her guardian so I would assume but Kayla hasn’t decided if she wants to go to school around here or go out west. Mal wants her to go to Sanford with her.” Jordan said.
“Well what do you want?” Lisa asked.
“I don’t know. What do you mean its Kayla’s choice. I don’t have any say in that.” Jordan said.
“Lisa is your movie almost done? We have to get going. As relaxing as it is here. Mom wants us home and you work early tomorrow anyway.” Steph said standing up.
“Yeah credits just rolled.” Lisa said.
“Jordy, come!” Sara said picking up the buggy with her free hand. “Mom will be home soon. “ Sara added
“See you later.” Jordan said.
“Well now that Steph is trained. See you alot more.” Lisa said as she walked towards Steph

1) this is a really depressing look into the future. So accepting of their shitty situations and willingly deluding themselves into calling it lucky.
2) I’ve actually wanted to see a little who’s life got “better” after shrinking, Poor Lisa ahe didn’t deserve that.

1,4) its hard to tell if jordan and potentially Kelli have just rolled over or not from this excerpt. 18 months is a long time, and with Chloe being around sarah, and probably Kayla adjacent, things could have balanced out a bit more. Not to be a sarah sympathizer as present sarahs still a complex problem, but she could have finally gotten ahold of her insecurities and issues to a degree and views jordan as more of an equal now. I mean yeah she still gave jordan a command at the end, but it read a bit more like they’re on even footing to me
Also, rip to gavin lol assuming it’s supposed to be standford, he’s pretty much gonna get thrown to the side of Mals life. Only saving grace is that since it’s a pretty liberal part of California that people call Mal out on how she treats him
Yes, I would agree and say there is a lot of left unsaid. As presumably Jordan could have a little friend group.
He could have settled into a life at his current size.that is while different then what his life would have ben if he wasn’t infected. But still a life worth living to him.
Mal and Gavin are interesting situation as she does care about him. So i wouldn’t say she would inherently toss him to the side but anything is possible. She could change her feelings when she is in the college life. But being that shes his guardian, she would still being care for him and stuff.
I get that, thus is a bit of a snippet of their future, I do hope Sara pulled her head in and that Chloe helped. I don’t However think they’re on anything close to equal footing, not to Sara.
Isn’t Gavin already in the side of Mal’s life, lol? I do hope people would call shitty guardians put more, but Mal’s highly charismatic, and a woman so lots of people wouldn’t notice her treatment of him.
Yeah, really thinking about it, you’re probably right. They probably have a few moments where Sara has her eyes opened about how she’s treating jordan, like how Chloe briefly point out her hypocritical behavior about how malory not letting gavin spend time with his friends is similar to Sara not letting jordan spend times with his. Chloe probably can’t really force that specific issue for a while considering how messed up emotionally Sara still is. That being said, sarah is still, at this point, really controlling over jordan, but might be more considerate if him, his feelings, and his desires to see friends.
And yeah, bad choice of words on my part for gavin lol I meant it lore that he seems to have hope that doing all this stuff for malory will help him stay more relevant to her or something l, but, and it all depends if California campus’ in the story is similar to real California lol, Malory could end up making friends that get pissed at how she treats gavin do to them being way, way more open minded
5. I kind of think Sarah only brought that up to see what sort of response you can get from Jordan. Since there’s one step down from the field of programming that he’s in.
Well she does have reasons around that. As if she did coding. Jordan could be assigned little projects within her project in a little assistant role similar to Lisa at the hospital but in a different field.
1) Well time has passed and they aren’t treated horribly its not like they are beat or whipped. They aren’t asked to do anything extreme.
They aren’t being forced into horrible situations. I would struggle to call either of their situations shitty.
2) Lisa is that person. Shes with a stable family, who treats her nicely, actually loves and cares for her, she has a good job. Its better then where she would have ended up.
3) it wasn’t really directed at any one. Its just further reinforcing slang and terminology the world.
4)Well shes being offered scholarships.But, there’s also the excitement of being somewhere new. Plus it would be her and Gavin out from underneath her parents eyes.
5) She did, she still can. until she registers for classes anything is possible. She overall doesn’t see the need with how things are going for her.

7)Well there are health reasons though. You hear more about them in Madison’s World. She didn’t just do it do it.

They aren’t lucky and to call themselves that is deeply saddening, Sara and Steph, they’re lucky, and just by being around them they should be able to see how bad their lives actually are.

2) I suppose you’re right. She’s definitely had valid issues pertaining to why her life was worse before, and she certainly is living comparatively wealthier than she was back then.
That is true, we don’t know what permissions she does and doesn’t have, but she still needs to go through others to get things she could easily have gotten herself. I’ll try to just be happy she’s happy.

“Out of line” is subjective based on whose lines you count. She’s crossed Jordan’s boundaries several times in the series and likely over a hundred times by now.
7) no we don’t, but we know Sara has a habit of saying one thing and doing another, and frankly even if she had a perfectly valid reason for the change, she’s don’t this so often for stupid reasons she just wouldn’t be trusted.
They way Lisa described it made it sound like it was medical, like a Genritech health and safety announcement to all guardians reminding them that “Pellets ate mandatory for a reason, make sure your littles are eating them” but this is more about Sara’s burnt bridges than the actual pellets themselves.

An actually nice moment between Guardians and Littles. Though I question their decision in having their Littles watch a movie on the floor, where they can easily be stepped on or something could fall on them.
Heh. Not even the #1 Ranked Guardian has no idea how ranking works or why it is important. It seems more like a Marketing Tool to make Sara the spokesperson more attractive and help drive more Little related sales.
Cool to know more about Lisa and even Jordan’s perspective on things now that everything has settled down.

Plus no one else is home to step on them. As that’s why Jordan has the buggy outside Sara’s room. IT’s not allowed outside her room by her parents but shes home alone.
It’s more that she doesn’t care how the system works as it wasn’t something she was striving for. She just wanted a little and got the license to get the little.
The guardian ranking is determined by your cumulative score of all activities from day one to the end. As every task is graded and scored. The higher ranked guardians get breaks in fees and such. But it just mostly exists to exemplify excellence in the field. Each guardian who takes training is ranked amongst their peers.
Re-looking at the image. I mistook them being much closer to the sofa. I was worried their Guardians would dropped something on them or momentarily forget they were there.

Wow this was a great addition and insight into the both sides here and what they are thinking about their current lives and future plans it really makes the story even more compelling…… also I saw what you did with Lisa asking about how Jordan would feel about Kayla taking Kelli with her to a different college even Lisa knows the Jordan x Kelli movement is very strong haha

Its been over a year and still with the “commands”… in their own home even… Like they’re not but a couple feet from each other. It would be one less word to just say “Jordan” and place her hand down. The dude knows his name and what’s expected of him by now…
I’d like the idea of something more subtle between them I guess, for when they’re in public. Its still a thorn in my side.

I think she used the command becuase their were multiple littles around. Lisa and steph were packing up and she needed to get Jordan’s stuff upstairs before her mother got home. As his buggy would have gotten her in trouble.
Where if she just said come without his name Lisa and Jordan may have come. She does have hand signs she could use but decided against it as it was a lazy Sunday.
