“You’re welcome, Babe. I know you were just trying to be polite with Kelli and Jordan.” Mallory said as Gavin found himself atop the slick surface of Mallory’s swimsuit. Beneath him he could feel the powerful abdominal muscles churning beneath him. He could remember a time when he was bigger, a time when he was stronger than his Korean girlfriend Mallory Bak. However, that now seems like a distant memory.
Gavin remembered the fateful day as if it was yesterday. Grasping his letter to see his results. All his friends were immune, he assumed it was academic that he would be immune as well. Horror struck when he found himself vulnerable. A few weeks later he thrusted into a brand-new horror after the Smallara virus had caused him to shrink his first thought was getting to safety.
It was in this moment Gavin realized the mistake that he had made. If he had been more cautious. If he had thought things through, he would have been thinking more clearly. The first person into his house that day was Mallory. Almost every day it was Sara because she didn’t have any kind of practice. He figured since no one had heard from him today they would come to his house to check on him. So, when the door opened Gavin rushed out without thinking. He waved his arms and shouted as loudly as he could. When Mallory walked in she looked down at him with look of surprise and shock.
As Gavin ran out into the open and he saw not his best friend Sara. Not the person he had spent almost everyday with for as long as he could remember. As he looked up at the monolithic sized person in front of him it was Malloy, his girlfriend.
The look of concern on her face, the sincerity of the fear behind her eyes. As she grabbed him. He was pressed into the thick fabric of sweater which smelled of her perfume. Normally it was sublte and pleasnt but now it brash and all he could smell. Even with her voice booming Gavin could her the frantic tone in her voice.
“When did this happen? Babe? Babe?” Mallory spoke but Gavin couldn’t find the words as she dug into her purse with her free hand. Gavin thought she was calling the hotline. But instead, she called Chloe. Everything was a blur in now in his mind after having had so much time to think. So much time to process all this.
“Babe, you need to use your words. I haven’t beenable to get ahold of you for a day and a half. I thought you were…it doesnt matter. I’m here now. What was the last time you remember?” Mallory said.
When she spoke those words my mind instantly flashed to the stupid dvd player my mom refused to get rid of. I tried to get her to stream, then I tried to get her upgrade to blu-ray . Bu she would say I have so many dvds. I’m not going to give them up now. He remembered staring at her stupid dvd player when saying three pm. He then felt hot and sweaty so he opened the patio door and stepped onto the porch. That was the last thing he remembered. As Gavin sputtered out three o’clock to Mallory he saw her look down at her phone. The bleak look on her face. The tears that welled in her eyes as she dropped her phone. The thud of it hitting the floor as Chloe said Mallory’s name again and again.
The look of utter devastation on her face made Gavin feel a level of remoarse he hadn’t ever felt before. A visceral hate for himself, what he did, what he had said. The way he had Sara cover for him only to sell her out. The girls he had spoke with, even arranging to meet with Helen.
Gavin wasn’t sure at first how much or what she knew but she stayed with him that night. When his mom came home she told her everything. They both cried as his mother was to afraid to even touch him out of fear of hurting him or crushing him. As Mallory helped her mother call the hotline and answer the questions he felt relief that Mallory was there but as he stared over at his now giant mother and his even more giant Girlfriend he also couldn’t help but feel alone. There no one who could wrap their arounds hiim. Their was no one who could truly coddle him because of the size difference.
At first his mom was going to try to keep get trained and keep him. However, as the days went on it became apparent how difficult that truly was. The classes, the liscening, the fees, the recurring fees all added up. We were looking at having to sell our home and move into an apartment building when Mallory came in. She offered to make this all go away. She would be my guardian and give me a home, she was trained, she could provide for me, seh could afford little clothes, and all the little related expenses. I don’t blame my mom for accepting. Mallory was after all already taking me to and from school. She was speaking with my teachers and she was keeping me on a schedule. I was doing better in school and my homework is getting in on time. I was eating better then I had ever as she was cutting out all the junk food I would eat.
“Babe, babe,” Mallory said snapping Gavin out of his trance of deep thoughts. “I said i want to do a little bit of training today. Then I figured you could take me out to dinner. You know that little italian place we like.
‘Yeah-yeah that sounds great.” Gavin said.

As for this chapter, just makes me feel worse for gavin. I get Mallory cares about him and everything but he really is genuinely alone in almost every aspect it seems. Mallory needs to let gavin around people otherwise his mental health will decline. As for how that will look from a story telling perspective, I’m interested to see. I know how I would be if I was effectively cut off from everything in the way gavin seemingly is, but I know Asuka probably won’t write it that way. I just hope that maybe gavin disassociates to the point where he needs to go to the doctor for an exam and it turns out he’s diagnosed with persistent depression and Mallory has to re-evaluate her life and how she is with gavin
True and it would be a interesting plot development that Gavin goes to a depress state and Mal decides to change her mind set and how she takes care of Gavin because she does love him and wants the best for him still
It’d be a good dynamic but it’s hard to tell if anything like that is in the works between the main story and their side story.
Does she though? I feel like she doesn’t. She cares about the idea of him that she has but that isn’t connected to reality.
That’s a good way to put it. I guess I should say she takes care of his basic needs and keeps him safe, but your right in that she cares about the image/little she’s trying to mold him into.
He is alone and also never alone. Its weird combination. As Mallory takes him literally everywhere with her. So they are never apart really.
There’s only a few circumstances where they are separate. But I get that you mean size related companionship.
That’s probably way Jordan is good for him as in theory he would see more of Jordan now and potentially Kelli too. So he does have a few size related people he can kind of Pal around with or atleat associate with unlike before.
Gavin’s life is also harder to pin down as the reader you really only see snippets of it. So you are kind of left to fill in some blanks on your own.
It’s not like Mallory cuts Sara out of her life. Gavin does see Sara regularly. It’s just they aren’t able to talk how they used to talk because of present company.
But i do see your point and to some point agree.
Wow interesting insight of Gavin and his first time as a little while feeling all kinds of regret, shock, remorse for actions and decisions from his past and Mal is sounding like a very good girlfriend in all honesty although still a very control freak but still loves Gavin huh did not expect this. Hope we see more of Gavin’s mom soon overall pretty good chapter.

FanFic 1 – WHO GOT THE BABY – set 15 years in the future
It was 1 in the morning Kelli and I were sleeping in our bed with Sara and Chole doing the same across from us. This past few years have been a rollercoaster, to say the least going to college again, getting married, and then becoming a father Luckey me….. Well, luck to a certain limit because after the first few weeks, it become absolute hell and tonight was one of those nights because….
Baby crying…. Loudly …. “Jordan…it’s your turn to get Charlie,” Kelli said in a very tired tone “Why can’t you get her?” I said trying to stay asleep “Because I got her last time so your turn,” she said in an annoyed tone “Do I..” I was about to say until I was hit with a pillow by Kelli “Jordy you better get the baby or so help me” Sara then said not surprised at this point in my life “Jordan I love you but I need my sleep so hurry up and get that baby before I let Sara unleash hell on you” Chole also said which mean I got all three women in my life annoyed at men “Come on why can’t I get some sleep…sigh …alright I’m up …I’m up” I said walking to the crying infant.
One of three kids Charlie was crying again while the boys were sound asleep I thanked god that they weren’t awoken and also crying because of their sister’s crying only the said part is I had to be awake for it. “Come here baby girl Daddy got you….shhh,” I said trying to get her to sleep again rocking her back to sleep. It wasn’t working, and neither was shushing her. I had to think of a way to get her back to sleep before the three grown women will beat the crap out of me….okay I’m being over dramatic but they are scary when angry at me. “Oh, I got it,” I thought one of her favorite songs.

After singing the song she was back to a peaceful sleep setting her back in her crib and kissing her forehead. “Good night Charlie,” I said about to head back to bed “You have a nice voice Jordy even if it sounds like an Alvin and Chipmunk kind of way you managed to put Chole back to sleep,” Sara said which made me go red “Thanks” I said getting the bed and sleeping with my wife again “Nice job Jorden…you’ll be in my heart huh?” Kelli said and looked at her with a smirk “Works every time, especially with the ladies.” I said “Don’t push it pop star…good night” Kelli said “Good night”

It was a long day at work, but I ahe your fanfic saved to go back and read this week when my day isn’t so hectic at work.
Mallory has her good points too. She isn’t just pure evil or anything. She is a control freak as you said. But everyone has there positives and negatives. I try to make the characters well rounded in varying ways. So the come off as more people like.
It doesn’t always work how I want it to. But I try to build actual characters with personalities and quirks.

Im glad you are enjoying it. I dont think you have to worry about Sara viewing Jordan as an adult. He is her pet person to her so she will probably always think of him as a subordinate. Even if he does gain some freedoms and responsibilities it would be a long ways to go for her to view him as an equal.
1) been wondering for a while, why wasn’t Gavin sent to a facility? There was obviously a significant period of time between his infection and Mal becoming his guardian.
2) Gavin’s regrets are heartbreaking to read.
3) I don’t necessarily blame Gavin for hiding his results, the way his friends talk about littles, I wouldn’t want then to know either. Though I’d say he should have made some safety net for himself, even if not with those friends.

5) improving his school performance is an interesting side effect, I still maintain its mostly because he’s doing remedial classes, so he’s a 15yo doing courses designed to challenge a 10yo, so his C’s becoming A’s would come from that.

There forking caused them to be classified diffrently or people to be classified differently then apes. However you want to think about it.
This is very similar event only its happening in real time and people are having to come to terms with it.

That’d be interested, especially since Asukafan2001 has confirmed they’d both be better in that situation.
I feel like as much as Sara talks a big game she does still think about Gavin as her friend and not as a human pet. I wonder if seeing Gavin live with Jordan would have made her think about Jordan more like a person still. I bet it would.

I have quite a few side stories even some that I havent posted yet. So I probably won’t be doing an Alternate timeline anytime soon becuase of that.
I also have some concern it may muddy the timeline for some or confuse what events are canon and what is make believe.
