The sounds of Sara and her friends talking could still be heard by Kelli and Jordan as they moved further away from the group. Jordan could tell Kelli was upset and now walking as far away while staying in sight as she could. It seemed a bit petty to him, but he understood the principle of the issue. Wanting to distract Kelli from all this, Jordan decided to venture into an area he wasn’t good in. Small talk, he was never much of a yapper. That was part of what made him and Sara work. She would yap for days. It was another similarity to Kelli they shared.
“So, what are you wearing for this date tomorrow?” Jordan asked. “I’ve never done the date to a party thing. Do we have to coordinate our outfits?” Jordan asked.
“My plan is to get a dress. I want something black. Since I know Kayla won’t, I’m hoping to get my mom to take me to the store so I can get something. Kayla basically has my entire closet at her disposal, while I’m stuck with basically Kayla’s closet in little form.
“She looks fashionable now,” Jordan said, pointing out her current outfit. “But I’ve only seen her in this one outfit outside of her uniform.”
“Yeah, and those are my clothes. My jeans, my shirt, I wouldn’t be shocked if she had on my socks.” Kelli said.
“So, what is a Kayla outfit?” Jordan asked as he leaned up against an overturned shoe in the corner of Kayla’s room.
“A hoodie, for sure. She wears hoodies and sweatshirts year-round. She likes jeans and joggers a lot, but you can also catch her in sweatpants while lounging around the house a lot. No skirts, nothing with a cute cut. Normally, it’s all strictly unisex tops. Basic T-shirts and sweatshirts. She dresses kind of like you, actually. Which is fine for you as a guy. No one exacts much. No offense.” Kelli said.
“I was going to say nothing about that sounds all that bad but that is probably your point. The grass isn’t so green over here either. Sara’s a busy body I’ve done more in the past week then I have the past six months pre Smallara. I’m pretty sure she’s bought me more outfits than I owned full sized ones.” Jordan said trying to make Kelli feel better.
“You have the most skilled guardian in the country. She’s practically perfect.” Kelli said.
“I wouldn’t say she’s perfect. Everyone has their crosses to bear. You don’t really know what someone else has gone through till you fully peak behind the curtains, you know?” Jordan said
“I’m sure Ms. Perfect has real struggles. She’s over there living the perfect life. While I’m stuck here forced to be Kayla’s pet sister.” Kelli said not believing anything in Sara’s life could be all that bad.
“Yeah, I guess.” Jordan said not wanting to spill any of Sara’s secrets or struggles.

Lol Jordan’s gonna tell Kelli something. Kelli’s probably just pissed at things right now and just hearing instead of fully listening if the makes sense. Although that was because she spent her money on the bug thing for Kelli. So she didn’t have a lot of extra money left. However, even if she had the extra money with how expensive little products she probably figures Kelli can use the existing mirror. Like a compact mirror would be like a full length mirror to her, or one of those tiny handheld mirrors.

Tamara’s father, while not yet seen is probably black, we also know Smallara is global so it’d also be in minority majority countries. I’d Say the minority littkes are doing equally poorly as the white littles.
Smallara Enforcement Agency (SEA) is like a FBI but solely for littles. All we’ve seem of them so far is arresting a teenager for trying to help her parents, not actually helping any littles.
I will most certainly have minorities in the story. I’m not sure if I will talk about something like racism. As a black man I like to create work escape reality. So while I won’t deny it exists. I don’t know if I want to wholly tackle it in fiction.
