Jordan looked at Sara, seeing that she was being sincere from her body language and the look in her eyes. She seemed legitimately concerned about him being taken. He had to admit that it wasn’t Daniela’s finest moment. He knew that even if she agreed to Sara’s terms, it would be a while before he could see her again. He couldn’t even blame her. He knew Daniela had his best interests at heart, but she really made a mess of it.
Jordan was helpless as Sara hugged him, pressing him against her chest. He could still hear her heart race a bit as he was pressed into the softness of the knit fabrics of her clothes. He was powerless to do anything but accept her love and affection as she doted on him, followed by checking over every inch of his body to make sure he wasn’t harmed in any way.
“Sara, I’m fine, really. She didn’t hurt me.” Jordan said.
“Well, you can never be too sure. She’s not trained to handle you and mentioned how rough Dayton was with you. It was irresponsible of me to let you back into the hands of someone untrained. I was stupid. I’m sorry, Jordan. I should have learned from Dayton. Next time you see her, I will keep you with me, and you can talk to your friends from my lap or hand,” Sara said as she gave Jordan several more pets to reassure him.
“Sara, I really think she just made a mistake and acted without thinking. I don’t think we need new precautions.” Jordan tried to explain.
“Jordy, I know she’s your friend, but she’s just an older Dayton. Dayton will need to be trained before I’d even consider such a thing, and you’d still need to be okay with it. I think this has only proven that your friends are no better than Dayton. If they love you as much as they say they do. They will need to earn back the trust they lost and perhaps get some additional education regarding littles, little handling, and how it works.” Sara said firmly. “I’m not trying to be mean, Jordy, but you are my responsibility, and you’re my pet little man. I wouldn’t forgive myself if something serious happened to you.
“Sara, he’s fine. You maybe shouldn’t jump to conclusions too much. A little revaluation of the situation is normal, but you don’t need to rebuild things from the ground up. Dayton wasn’t going to actually hurt him anymore than Daniela was going to hurt him. They have both let things go to their heads a bit. But I can’t see Ms. Sanchez doing it again.” Ellie said.
Jordan appreciated the vote of confidence from Ellie, but the idea of her defending Dayton wasn’t something he liked hearing, even if she had a point about it. He didn’t want to admit it openly, but he was a bit afraid of Dayton. He knew for a fact that if he had ended up in Dayton’s hands instead of Sara’s, that fateful day, he would have eventually acquiesced to her will.
“You may be right, but Dayton is twelve and will be turning thirteen. Ms. Sanchez is a grown adult in her twenties. It’s not the same to me. I can’t forgive her for trying to steal you, Jordan. I will deal with it because She’s your friend, but she knows better. If that was Dayton or Nicolle, sure, I could come to terms with it and forgive it as there is a degree of their being kids. Ellie and I did some dumb things together at twelve that we would never do now. But Ms. Sanchez is grown she a job, a home, she pay bills. She knew what she was doing and did it anyway. I don’t know how to forgive that, Jordy. She pushed and table into me and tried to hurt me.” Sara said as she continued to pet Jordan.

Jordan should just tell Sara he’s afraid of Dayton and shut that down now. If Sara’s that worried about Daniella and wants to put extra precautions and things like that in place, even asking Daniella to get educated on little handling, that’s totally fine and, to be honest, she’d probably comply with it without issue, but jordan should have just as much firm of say on Dayton, more so considering he’s had nightmares and ptsd since he’s met her, some of which probably have to do with running away, but you can still tell he wants nothing to do with her.
Daniela’s issue with training has always paratly been affordability. She only makes around 50 to 60k a year. She is just on a standard teachers Salary.
So to put it into perspective. Sara though her sponsorships and streaming makes a comparable amount of money doing less work.
Of Sara’s friend group she is on the poorer side of things. While she herself probably makes more then most of her friends her family makes less then Chloe, Ellie or Mallory. Steph’s family makes a bit more but its not as large of a gap as the others.
Sara’s family does make substantially more then the average family. Her father alone makes several times what Ms. sanchez makes.
But i got a little of track there. The point being if Sara required Daniela to get trained to see Jordan again. While justified would be a monumental financial burden she probably couldn’t do without assistance.
Dayton is interesting as her family and Sara’s family are friends. So I don’t know if Jordan can really avoid dayotn forever. Sara is genuinely trying but eventually it will probably happen. If Dayton’s mom comes over and Dayton tags along. There isn’t much Sara could do.
If Dayton comes over to Sara’s, she could leave Jordan with his iPad in her room and tell Dayton she’s not allowed to see him because she’s not at the maturity and empathy level she needs to be at for a little to be in her hands, fair and firm in my opinion.
That’s true with fully qualified training, but what if Daniella were to just learn handling and things like that by interacting with others that have Littles or doing some of the online research that Sara did? Just something to be more educated on the matter and how to best behave around Littles. I know the former is probably highly unlikely, but ellie made it sound like there’s plenty of information online to look at when she brought it up many chapters ago
Assuming Sara is home. Its alwys possible Jordan didn’t want to be carted around and Dayton and her mother come over.

dayton would 100% go into Sara’s room and not think twice. Thats where all the fun stuff is as well. Sara has game consoles, computers, etc. Where would she go to entertain herself.
If jordan was there it would just be icing on the cake.

Dayton is also a bit spoiled, so that’s a factor.

The longer term goal which im hoping to have complete before the end of the year but may slip into the newyear. Is a posting system for people who are writing stories in the universe so you can post them to the blog proper under a fanfic label or something. I haven’t came up with a nomenclature. Maybe extended universe taking a page out of the star wars books before disney took over.
As that would allow for more exposure and they wouldn’t be hidden in the comment sections. I just have to workout how best to do it.

The actual posting isn’t hard to workout. It’s more providing access in a way bots won’t abuse or people posting Spam.
So there’s some hoops I have to jump through to see how best to do that. If its to make a special user role that has access to the posting system I use or some kind of front end posting system.

Wow, I didn’t realize this was coming. If I had known I may have done this weeks chapters differently as this week has the Smallara Season Finale.
Oh damn, I actually considered giving you a heads up last week to not blind side you. Though thinking it was a “nice surprise” out weighed that. Would you like a heads up a bit before 700?

Well another story will start. It’s going to be Season 2 of Madison’s World.
There may be a week or two break just so i can build up some content. But I don’t count those as Hiatus as I’m not actually stopping working on the story. I’m just not posting content. So i can get a bit of buffer built. As its a bit nerve wracking when you are on the edge of having to have a render complete and a chapter written for the next day and neither are done or even just one is done. Plus I want to re-read season 1. As I have a few chapters written. I haven’t actually gone back and re-read things to refresh myself. I did not do a great job at note taking so i want to makes sure i remember all the plotlines.
As far as notifications go I kind of like the surprise nature. It just so happened that this time i was independently working towards the season finale this week. Right now thursday is the slated season finale date.
Just to see expectations I’m not planning any kind of cliffhanger. I had planned that the end of the day in the story would be the season finale.
The hiatus won’t occur until whenever Dragon Age Veilguard releases. Then there will be a hiatus so i can play the game and not have to create content which would cut down on the game time.
1) I can’t really fault Sara’s reaction it is quite reasonable.

4) I’m glad Elli tried to defend Ms. Sanchez, not fond of how she did so with Dayton, but that was likely necessary to make Sara listen as Sara a lot more interested in mending that bridge.

5.2) also trained hands haven’t been much better, Maisy bullied him quite harshly and Nicole was more than happy to sit back and watch Dayton torment Jordan.

Dani made her own stupid decision. Dayton was behaving maliciously for Jordan where as Dani was only acting out of care and concern for Jordan
7) while I understand being more forgiving of younger kids than adults, she could still try to be a little more empathetic. How would she feel if she wasn’t Mal’s friend? If she didn’t get to check on or talk to Gavin regularly?

1) Sara isn’t actively doing anything misguided other then genuinely being concerned about Jordan.
2) I know that must be horrible and unbearable for Jordan to be showered with love and affection.
3) Well he has been around Sara a lot at this point. It seemed normal that he would pick up a thing or two.
4) Yeah, Dayton was to link it to something Sara cared about. Plus Dayton’s family and Sara’s family are friends. Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Reeves go over to each others house. I think Sara knows its only a matter of time before Dayton and Jordan bump into each other again.
5) Chloe is basically trained but conveniently doesn’t take the licensing exam. Steph does get trained canonically. Sara’s dad has never actually held Jordan that i can remember. If he has it would have been brief.
Sara’s mom works with littles so she has a level of training but she generally doesn’t interact with Jordan all that much.
5.2) Nicolle generally doesn’t stand up to Dayton though. At most she suggests an alternative opinion and Dayton can then decide which one.
6)I agree that one is a bit of a stretch that Dayton and Dani are the same. As while they both made mistakes each person has to judge for themselves which is worse, better or are they truly equal. I personally think they are both bad for different reasons.
Dayton’s was bad but she was trying to earn Sara’s favor and impress her.
Dani’s was bad because she ultimately proved what Sara thought of her and makes it harder for anyone to defend her to Sara.
7) I think Sara struggles with empathy to Dani as the first impression with Jordy went so badly in Sara’s eyes. She felt attacked.
So that first impression someone gives you is often what sticks. So if the first detailed interactions he ahs with her gym teacher is poor. That sets the tone and then when you do give her a second chance we saw what happened. So I can understand Sara struggling to be empathetic towards her.
8.Sara does probably know. But the real question is would she cut out Dayton if it meant she could cut out Dani.

5.1) she’s canonically only held a little three times, I’m not counting “technically trained”, on the little theory I’d absolutely count it, but in little handling, no.
Steph isn’t trained yet, and I’m not convinced Sara’s gonna wait until she is.
Who’s-her-Daddy would still be untrained hands at that point.
I didn’t mention Tiff cause I knew sge was trained.
5.2) That’s unfortunately true of many kids her age, I kinda worry about her sister, I doubt Nicole will be as able to cut Dayton of from her as Sara is.
4&6) upon further reflection I could argue that Dani and Dayton are reflections of eachother. Dayton did something bad to Jordan for Sara, whereas Dani did something bad to Sara for Jordan.
I can see how they’d be down to one’s personal opinion which is worse, I personally see Dayton’s actions as worse, but Dani’s actions aren’t much better.

I can definitely agree that your thoughts on first impressions, I started reading around Maisy’s introduction, my first impression of Sara was her flicking Jordan away while he was trying to ask her for help and that certainly coloured my opinion of her.
However, I do think it should be noted, that Dani’s first impression of Sara (in this context) wasn’t great either, Sara was calling Dani’s best friend a slur, treating him like a pet, and talking on his behalf. While Dani was clearly trying to make a better second impression Sara had changed nothing, still acting the same way that had upset Dani previously, Dani had put genuine effort into letting it go and being on her best behaviour, until she couldn’t take it anymore and snapped, as all of her initial fears were validated aswell.
So while I understand why Sara wouldn’t be overly empathetic to Dani, I also think it’s worth pointing out how much Dani was trying to be better.
8) That’s plausible, but I think it’d be more likely for Sara to attempt to leverage Dani to preasure Jordan into giving Dayton a third chance as ultimately, I think Sara does like Dayton, I think she sees her as a younger cousin and I could see her wanting to mend a bridge between Dayton and Jordan like she did with Steph and Chloe.
