Jason sat on his porch, running his knife over a stray piece of wood he’d decided was going to get put to good use, wood shavings tumbled down and blew away letting him ponder the changes that had been made through no fault of anyone in the family, but that they all had to cope with. He looked townward then back through his son’s window just couldn’t believe his own son wasn’t living with him anymore, and had to suffer as he was.
Ollie and Dixie were building the little-kit on the island bench, well Ollie was, Dixie was ‘helping,’ she didn’t have her father’s, sister’s or brother’s handyman skills (though now she may surpass her brother in times she’d be needed to work), but she’d make sure her brother’s return was as pleasant as she could manage, even if it meant defaulting to her sister’s instructions even if she preferred to boss her around.
The apartment was little worthy as best the family could manage with the family making sure Cai could safely cohabitate with them as though it was no less his home the farmhouse was before his infection. His mother, Sam and her stepsister, Georgia, were bracing for apprehension, Cai lived primarily on the farm with his dad, though, since catching Smallara, his new home had to be within the apartment, with his sisters who’d received special training to care for him. His residence appeared to be a small house that had been set up in the living room, backed to a window so he could get natural light into it, the roof has what appears to be a veranda on it enabling him to interact with people without actually needing to leave his small house set up with a miniature hammock he’d won in a raffle that he was automatically entered into the day his blood was found to be vulnerable to Smallara, a pathetic consolation compared to his sisters’ immunity.
Georgia was the most nervous, while the girls had seen moving in with her as a welcome addition to the family Cai hadn’t seemed to impressed by her, he’d never seemed anything but apathetic towards her, she’d been told he didn’t hate her, and he’d never been rude or unkind to her, but she felt within her heart that he didn’t actually like her either, Gorgia was also hesitant about her daughter Molly, the triplets were fourteen which she was already unsure about leaving him in the care of, Molly was only half that, and prone to outbursts typical of children even younger.
I was out watching American Football on Sunday so i missed the first posting.
The little kit is smart. It woudl be a good way for people to get what a little needs at a more affordable price.
Did you have any issues with posting? Have you had to edit anything? If so did the edits work okay?
Curious about this too. I left a question for you on the announcement post too.
I’m looking forward to the story as you posts it on here though. It’ll be nice not having to check deviantart all the time lol plus you have some cool australian culture stuff that I’m not overly aware of that I’m excited to see, especially with how littles get involved.
I’m looking forward to posting more, hopefully the option to post here will help motivate me to write more than I have.
The Australianisms are definitely gonna be a part of this story, though I’m sometimes worried not everyone will know what they mean, but that’s just something I’ll need to feel out as I go. One of the big differences is that Australians (mostly) still see littles as people, not pets or property, but other differences will arise as the story goes on.
I remember the one thing that came up that I didn’t really get was Australian Sign Language. I remember you explaiing it on another post but I had no clue what it was in the newer chapters lol
Auslan, Australian sign language, yep, I’ll need to clarify that properly this time.
Little kits are just meant to be the essentials, but their cheaply made, (3D printed) so they’re easier to get a few spare of, their things like little cutlery, plates, cups, bowls, and some furniture (which is what they’re assembling), building one is like making a model furniture.
The most prominent item in this kit is a little picnic table that’s collapsible, it goes on the sisters’ school ports or handbags so he’ll be able to set up on a table of their ever sitting at one.
Posting was all good, though I’d did put random lines between my paragraphs, I kept having 2-3 lines extra I had to delete. Other than that all good.
