Kayla Episode 6: A Smallara Side Story

Kayla Episode 6

Kayla carefully carried Kelli back toward her skateboard, each step deliberate and steady. As they walked, Kelli couldn’t help but notice Talisa stealing glances at her, barely concealing her excitement. The way Talisa’s eyes kept darting toward her was almost comical, like a kid trying not to ask for candy but desperately wanting it. By the time they reached Kayla’s skateboard, Kelli sighed, finally giving in.

“Kayla, it’s fine. You can let Talisa hold me,” Kelli said, watching as Talisa’s eyes lit up, her excitement barely contained.

“I wouldn’t want to impose…” Talisa said, though the grin spreading across her face told a different story.

“Well, alright then. I won’t force you,” Kayla replied, completely oblivious to Talisa’s eagerness.

“But if you insist,” Talisa quickly added, her hand already moving toward Kelli as if she couldn’t wait a second longer. She mimicked the gentle handoff she’d seen Sara do earlier at school, her movements surprisingly careful.

“You need to be really careful,” Kayla said, her voice filled with the kind of big-sister concern that was becoming all too familiar.

Kelli shot Kayla an exasperated look, the kind of look that said, Seriously?

“What?” Kayla asked, her face scrunching in confusion.

“Nothing, absolutely nothing,” Kelli replied with a chuckle, shaking her head as she stepped into Talisa’s waiting hand. The warmth of Talisa’s palm felt different—new, but not uncomfortable. She glanced up at the wide grin on Talisa’s face and couldn’t help but smirk a little herself. For a moment, it was almost like old times, with just a little twist.

“She’s so light,” Talisa marveled, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and awe. “I thought you’d be heavier. I mean, I don’t totally get how all this works—like, where does the weight go? How does it all… shrink? But it’s wild. You’re like a perfect, tiny version of yourself. And honestly? You’re still just as pretty as ever.”

Kelli blinked, unsure whether to laugh or cringe. “Uh… thanks, I think,” she said, her tone dry, not entirely sure how to take the compliment wrapped in scientific wonder.

“Let’s head over that way,” Kayla called out, hopping onto her skateboard and slowly gliding deeper into the old skatepark.

Kelli watched Kayla roll off ahead, secretly relieved that Talisa didn’t make her ride on the board the same way. Talisa followed Kayla at a much slower pace, her gaze fixed more on Kelli than on where they were going. Despite the fact that Talisa’s attention was clearly divided, she navigated the skateboard with an ease that surprised Kelli. A few times, Kelli was sure Talisa wasn’t even watching the path, yet she effortlessly avoided cracks and obstacles without a second thought.

It hit Kelli then—Kayla, Talisa—they were both in full control of the situation, handling their boards and surroundings with expert precision. The only one who wasn’t in control here was her. She was just along for the ride, in every sense of the word.

And as much as she hated to admit it, that feeling stung more than she expected.

As they neared the group, Kelli’s ears were assaulted by the blaring sound of punk rock. At her new size, the noise felt even more overwhelming, almost as if it was vibrating through her bones. Her heightened hearing turned the once-enjoyable music into a chaotic wall of sound. She quickly covered her ears, wincing as they moved closer.

“Kayla,” Talisa said, pointing down at Kelli with her free hand, concern flashing across her face.

“Got it,” Kayla replied, her focus shifting from Talisa to the group ahead. Without hesitation, she skated straight into their circle. “Carter, turn it down a bit! I’ve got my sister with me,” she called out, her voice steady and confident.

Kelli blinked, watching in surprise. Kayla? Bold? It was like she was seeing a different person altogether. At home, at school, Kayla was always quiet, reserved, often fading into the background. But here? It was like she had stepped into a parallel universe where her shy, meek sister was someone else entirely. Kayla moved with confidence, her posture assertive, her voice carrying with an authority Kelli had never associated with her.

As they reached the group, a tall, athletic-looking teen stepped forward. His dark skin glistened in the sun, and his movements were fluid, almost effortless. He had an air of casual confidence as he approached Kayla, a smirk playing on his lips.

“Kay, didn’t think you were comin’ out today. Figured you’d be at home gamin’, leveling up or whatever,” he said, his voice teasing but warm.

“That was the plan,” Kayla replied, her tone light as she picked up her board. “But Kelli wanted an outing. She was bored.” There was a nonchalance in her words, like this was no big deal, like Kelli hadn’t been the one pushing for something to break up the monotony.

Kelli watched as Carter casually draped an arm around Kayla’s waist, guiding her a bit away from the group. It was strange, seeing her sister so at ease, so comfortable in this world that Kelli barely recognized.

“Talisa, move in closer,” Kelli muttered, her eyes narrowing as she tried to listen in. “We’re too far away.”

“I don’t want to crowd them,” Talisa replied, clearly hesitant to intrude.

“Talisa!” Kelli stomped her tiny foot in Talisa’s hand, the small action barely making a sound but carrying all the attitude Kelli could muster. “Move. You said it yourself—I’m still Kelli Wallace. So when I tell you to move, you move.”

Talisa raised an eyebrow, a small grin tugging at the corner of her mouth. “Alright, alright, boss lady,” she said with a chuckle, slowly rolling them both closer to Kayla and Carter.

Kelli felt a flicker of her old self return—the confidence, the control. Even if the world was bigger now, she was still Kelli Wallace. And that still meant something.

“So this is the infamous Kelli Wallace,” Carter said with a grin as he took a step toward Talisa, his gaze shifting briefly to Kelli. “I guess I have you to thank for today.”

He turned his attention back to Talisa, flashing her an easy smile. “Talisa, long time no see. You stopped coming around.”

“Yeah, well, it’s a little too flat here for my style,” Talisa replied, a confident smirk crossing her face. “I like to catch more air in my game, but you know, it’s nice to swing by and remind everyone whose park this really is.”

“Right,” Carter chuckled, shaking his head slightly at Talisa’s swagger. Then, his expression softened as he looked back at Kelli, his tone becoming smoother, more intentional. “But I’m being rude. Didn’t mean to talk shop without introducing myself properly to the little maiden here. I’m Carter Colby. I’ve heard a lot about you, but it’s nice to finally put a face to the name.”

“Carter…” Kayla said, stepping forward with a slight warning in her voice.

Kelli crossed her arms, her brow arching as she shot a pointed look between Kayla and Carter. “Well, I’ve heard nothing about you,” she replied, her voice dripping with attitude. She raised an eyebrow at Kayla, clearly waiting for an explanation.

Kayla hesitated for a beat before sighing, a little sheepish. “I was going to tell you, Kelli. It’s just… you were at school, and then at the facility, and after you got home, it never felt like the right time.”

Kelli’s gaze didn’t waver, her silence pressing Kayla to continue.

“Carter is… my boyfriend,” Kayla admitted, her voice quieter but with a touch of guilt. “I know you already figured it out—you totally clocked him on the way over. Just… don’t tell Mom and Dad, okay? You saw how they were when Sara, Chloe, and Ellie came over. It’s so embarrassing.”

Kelli’s expression softened, though she still shot Kayla a look of mild exasperation. “Seriously, Kayla? This is what you’ve been hiding?”

Kayla shrugged awkwardly, her cheeks reddening. “I just… didn’t want to make it a big deal.”

Kelli sighed but couldn’t help a small smile. “Well, too late for that.”

Glad to see Kelli regaining her confidence again and nice introduction to Carter who seems cool so far. Also I’m so rooting for a double date night with Jordan and Kelli with Kayla and Carter now …….might be a triple date since Sara will have to come and she would in some ways bring Chole along just to not feel like a third wheel lol

Oh, this should be interesting, but if it’s anything like the dynamic between Chrissy, Mike, and Scott, they should be okay. Not sure if Kelli will see it that way though.

1 sisterly love was great here

2.1. I like Kayla lets Kelli mostly decide who holds her, especially when it’s a seemingly untrained individual

2.2 I bet there was more to Talisa’s excitement than just being able to hold a little. Part of me thinks she’s happy Kelli trusts her enough to let her hold her by choice.

3. Kelli seeing Kayla confident and in control of her own world’s good. I personally think that she should make note of all the interactions and try to push those into Kaylas life. It’d be good for both of them. Kelli would get to be the supportive older sister, and Kayla would learn to be more assertive

4. Kayla not making a big deal is a bit more important than you’d realize. Other guardians probably wouldn’t be as discrete about it. I think Sarah picks and chooses and doesn’t have a filter for things that make Jordan uncomfortable, but someone like Chrissy would probably know that there’s a line not to cross if her little was like that and not chipped with Preema’s crap

5. love confident Kelli telling Talisa what to do and Talisa going with it. She’s not wrong either. you can’t say she’s still Kelli Wallace and then turn around and just not listen to her the next second.

6. Carter must be smooth as silk lol i want to see how he and Kayla met cause Kayla seems way to shy with this sort of thing to even notice a crush

7. Appreciate Carter changing his tone, too. Probably wants to make a good impression with Kelli, but probably also knows that A: Kelli was larger than life and commanded a lot of respect and B: Kayla, though living in her shadow, probably really, really looked up to Kelli and would want her to be impressed by Carter

8. I love Kayla was hesitant and quiet about all of this. Kelli is probably relieved she’s dating and is probably super excited for her

I was just thinking that it’d be funny if Kayla was the Kelli of Skating and Videogames. Like to the point where even Sarah is shocked by her confidence and assertiveness lol

1) “The way Talisa’s eyes kept darting toward her was almost comical, like a kid trying not to ask for candy but desperately wanting it” Technically Kayla already consented to Talisa holding her.

2) “Kayla, it’s fine. You can let Talisa hold me,” that’s nice.

3) “Well, alright then. I won’t force you,” Kayla replied, completely oblivious to Talisa’s eagerness” there’s those famous social skills

4) “You need to be really careful,” Yeah, no doing stunts with your little on the board.

5.1) ““She’s so light, I thought you’d be heavier. I mean, I don’t totally get how all this works” Smallara’s a weightloss wonder.
5.2) “where does the weight go? How does it all… shrink?” been wondering that myself, Talisa.  It’s one of lifes great mysteries.
5.3) “You’re like a perfect, tiny version of yourself. And honestly? You’re still just as pretty as ever.” Talisa’s being extra nice since Kelli’s letting her hold her

6) “Kelli watched Kayla roll off ahead, secretly relieved that Talisa didn’t make her ride on the board the same way” Don’t keep that a secret, Let your concerns be known.

7) “It hit Kelli then—Kayla, Talisa—they were both in full control of the situation, handling their boards and surroundings with expert precision. The only one who wasn’t in control here was her. She was just along for the ride, in every sense of the word.” I mean that doesn;t just sum up skateboarding that’s her whole damn life now.

8) “Kelli’s ears were assaulted by the blaring sound of punk rock. At her new size, the noise felt even more overwhelming, almost as if it was vibrating through her bones. Her heightened hearing turned the once-enjoyable music into a chaotic wall of sound” that’s be so cincerning for a little to endure.

9) “Kelli blinked, watching in surprise. Kayla? Bold? It was like she was seeing a different person altogether” well, this is Kayla’s friends, she’s more comfortable around them.

10) “That was the plan, But Kelli wanted an outing. She was bored.” Most guardians wouldn’t openly admit that thier little changed their plans.

11) “Talisa, move in closer, We’re too far away.” … “I don’t want to crowd them,” C’mon Talisa, Kelli has to be an annoying big sister about this.

12) “Alright, alright, boss lady,” Talisa obeying Kelli is a surprise.

13) “Yeah, well, it’s a little too flat here for my style, I like to catch more air in my game, but you know, it’s nice to swing by and remind everyone whose park this really is.” So even Talisa has a dominant side.

14) “I’m Carter Colby. I’ve heard a lot about you, but it’s nice to finally put a face to the name.” It’s nice to put a name to Kayla saying she had a boyfriend.

15) “I was going to tell you, Kelli. It’s just… you were at school, and then at the facility, and after you got home, it never felt like the right time.” you could have said something when she asked about it Smallara 487.

16) “Seriously, Kayla? This is what you’ve been hiding?” Kelli almost seems disapointed, like she wanted her sister involved in a bigger scandle.

17) “don’t tell Mom and Dad, okay? You saw how they were when Sara, Chloe, and Ellie came over. It’s so embarrassing.” That’s valid

I think a streaming a show with these three would be perfect for showing how horrible treating Littles as common pets are and that Kelli’s spark could change people view on littles. she and others lost physical traits not their souls and if a little can be smarter then a human, then how can humans be better then littles other then being bullies. That would bring humans back to cave man days.
