“Kayla, no,” Kelli said firmly, her tiny voice edged with dread as she glanced up at Talisa, who was proving far less helpful than she’d hoped. The last thing she wanted was to be a third wheel on a date with Kayla and Carter, that was a situation she wasn’t ready to face.
Talisa, avoiding Kelli’s increasingly desperate gaze, reached down and pulled out her phone. Kelli watched as she scrolled through her messages. The screen was blank, save for a few old texts, and Kelli couldn’t help but notice how different Talisa’s phone looked compared to her own when she was her old self. Back then, her phone had been buzzing with activity—her social world always in motion. But Kayla’s friends didn’t have that same pull. They weren’t popular in the way Kelli had been.
“Kay, my mom just texted me,” Talisa suddenly said, her tone too casual to be genuine. “She’s nagging me about chores I forgot to do, so I’m gonna have to bail.”
Kelli narrowed her eyes, instantly recognizing the lie. “Talisa, don’t you dare leave me alone with them,” she hissed, watching in horror as Talisa rolled them closer to Kayla and Carter. Her heart began to race as the looming figures of her sister and Carter grew larger and larger. “Talisa, I know you can hear me. Put the brakes on this thing, right now,” Kelli demanded, trying to sound authoritative despite the tremor in her voice. But that tremor—that hint of doubt—was exactly what made her stomach sink. Had things really changed so much between them?
To Kelli’s relief, Talisa slowed to a stop, though Kayla and Carter remained engrossed in their conversation, oblivious to the quiet panic building within Kelli.
“You know I can’t take you with me,” Talisa said softly, her tone apologetic but firm. “I’m not guardian-trained, and Kayla’s your guardian. You were the one who said you wanted to go out and do things.”
Kelli clenched her fists, frustration welling up inside her. The humiliation was almost unbearable, having to beg for an escape, when not so long ago, she would have been the one making plans, deciding where to go, and who to hang out with. Back then, she was the center of the social universe. Now? She was just trying to avoid being a tag-along, a third wheel to her own sister’s date.
Talisa glanced down at Kelli, her expression softening, as if she could feel the weight of Kelli’s internal struggle. It was strange for her too, Kelli had always been someone to admire from afar, a force of nature in her own right. But now, everything had shifted.
Kelli sighed, her voice dropping to a quieter, more vulnerable murmur. “Nothing’s changed between us, right?” But even as she asked, the words felt hollow, uncertain.
“Of course,” Talisa said, trying to sound convincing, though even she doubted Kelli would believe her. She wanted to help Kelli, but there was another pull, too, being a good friend to Kayla. Letting Kayla and Carter have some alone time together as a couple. It was different now, with Kelli tagging along. She was Kayla’s Little now. Any relationship Kayla had would have to include Kelli in some way. “Sorry, Kelli,” Talisa added with a sigh, before starting to roll them toward Kayla and Carter again.
Kelli felt a surge of helplessness rise within her, wanting to scream but knowing it wouldn’t change anything. She was powerless to stop Talisa, powerless to change her circumstances. She tugged at her fingers, as if pulling invisible reins on a horse, hoping somehow that would make Talisa stop. But it didn’t. In her post-Smallara state, all she could do was watch as Kayla and Carter loomed larger and larger.
“Do you really have to go?” Kayla asked, shifting her focus from Carter to Talisa.
“Yeah, you know how moms are, everything has to be done right now,” Talisa replied, her voice filled with forced nonchalance. “But I’m sure you, Carter, and Kelli will have a great time,” she added with a knowing smile as she held out her hand for Kelli to step over.
Kelli shot Talisa a look, the glare in her eyes saying more than words ever could. This wasn’t over. With a resigned sigh, she crossed over into Kayla’s waiting hand, relegated to her role as the unwanted third wheel.
“Message me later if you want to hop back online,” Kayla said, giving Talisa a quick wave goodbye before turning back to Carter. “So yeah, Carter, this is my Little, who’s also my sister. But not my little sister. She really doesn’t like that,” Kayla added with a smirk, laughing at her own joke.
Kelli rolled her eyes, the exasperation clear on her face. “No one can make Kayla laugh harder than Kayla,” she muttered, watching as her sister giggled. “But you only see it when she’s out here. Otherwise, she’s like a mouse. You know that, right?” she said, turning to Carter.
Carter chuckled, his gaze shifting to Kelli as he finally got a closer look at her. “I’ve heard about it, but this is new to me too,” he said, his tone surprisingly genuine. “Kayla kept a side of her from me.”
Kelli’s voice turned slightly bitter, though she tried to keep her tone even. “Well, that’s no surprise. Kayla’s been keeping a lot from me.”
Kayla flinched, the defensive edge creeping into her voice as she quickly replied, “I wasn’t keeping it from you. It’s just… you were always larger than life, Kelli. I just… I wanted something for myself. One place where I wasn’t ‘Kelli Wallace’s little sister.’”
The words hung in the air, heavier than Kayla intended.
Kayla wanting to have something to herself is understandable,
agreed. this’ll come up more i’m sure.
It is a fair want for someone to have.
Talisa is an interesting character. I bet she’d be an awesome gaurdian for either someone she knew prior or a victim of smallara directly.
I’m liking that Kelli and Kayla are being open about all of this more, though Kelli is a bit more closed off still, but they’re talking about it which is important. they need to. they really need each other more than they know
I’m surprised Kelli didn’t have the comeback , you got what you wanted. I’m always in your shadow now.
I like Talisa’s character alot. I wanted to have a character that was interesting but also wasn’t guardian trained.
Kelli is a bit more closed off but she also is in the worst spot.
1) “The last thing she wanted was to be a third wheel on a date with Kayla and Carter, that was a situation she wasn’t ready to face.” I’d say many Littles would find themselves in such situations, Jordan I reckon would get it a lot.
2) “The screen was blank, save for a few old texts, and Kelli couldn’t help but notice how different Talisa’s phone looked compared to her own when she was her old self. Back then, her phone had been buzzing with activity—her social world always in motion” Kayla took a moment to judge Talisa while asking for her help.
3) “Kay, my mom just texted me,” Talisa suddenly said, her tone too casual to be genuine. “She’s nagging me about chores I forgot to do, so I’m gonna have to bail.” Damn, Kelli’s so intimidated by Little Kelli she needs to lie to escape.
4) “But that tremor—that hint of doubt—was exactly what made her stomach sink. Had things really changed so much between them?” Changes are inevitable, when something significant changes, other things change to suit.
5,1) “You know I can’t take you with me, I’m not guardian-trained, and Kayla’s your guardian.” that does sound like a tricky situation Kelli was putting Talisa in.
5.2) “You were the one who said you wanted to go out and do things.” Kayla playing Monkey’s paw with Kelli, lol.
6) “The humiliation was almost unbearable, having to beg for an escape when not so long ago, she would have been the one making plans, deciding where to go, and who to hang out with” yeah, Talisa and Kayla would be escaping from Kelli’s tyranny.
7) “It was strange for her too, Kelli had always been someone to admire from afar, a force of nature in her own right. But now, everything had shifted.” so even Talisa’s opinion of Kelli has dropped.
8) “Nothing’s changed between us, right?” Don’t ask questions you don’t want the answer to.
9) “Letting Kayla and Carter have some alone time together as a couple. It was different now, with Kelli tagging along. She was Kayla’s Little now. Any relationship Kayla had would have to include Kelli in some way” that’s sadly true, and any relationship Kelli has would likewise require Kayla in some way.
10) “She was powerless to stop Talisa, powerless to change her circumstances. She tugged at her fingers, as if pulling invisible reins on a horse, hoping somehow that would make Talisa stop. But it didn’t.” that’s quite creative, though went about as well as one would expect. “A creative way to fail” one might say.
11) “Do you really have to go?” No Talisa’s lying to avoid awkwardness.
12.1) “So yeah, Carter, this is my Little, who’s also my sister. But not my little sister. She really doesn’t like that,” Interesting that she’s Kayla’s Little first and Kayla’s sister second. (I get that it’s set up for a joke but still, it’d piss me off if I was in Kelli’s position.
12.2) “Kayla added with a smirk, laughing at her own joke” adorable.
13) . “No one can make Kayla laugh harder than Kayla, But you only see it when she’s out here. Otherwise, she’s like a mouse. You know that, right?” Don’t be like that Kelli, don’t try to embarrass Kayla.
14) ““I’ve heard about it, but this is new to me too, Kayla kept a side of her from me.” Goodman Carter 2.0, Don’t let Kelli 2.0 change your opinion of Kayla 2.0
15) “Well, that’s no surprise. Kayla’s been keeping a lot from me.” all Guardians keep secrets from their Littles, it’s part of their training.
16.1) “I wasn’t keeping it from you. It’s just… you were always larger than life, Kelli. I just… I wanted something for myself. One place where I wasn’t ‘Kelli Wallace’s little sister.’” One could argue that it’s on Kayla to carve out her own identity rather than resign herself to just being Kelli’s sister.
16.2) “The words hung in the air, heavier than Kayla intended.” I hope this doesn’t grow into too much of a wedge between them.
I hope Kayla’s resentment of being in her sisters shadow when Kelli was big doesn’t make her forget how much she always tried to do for her.
1) Jordan would definately get it alot. Sara may not take him on every date but quite a few he would go on as Sara has kind of integrated Jordan into her life. Being a service little it also wouldn’t be odd for a service animal/pet/little to be included.
However I do understand Kelli’s want to not be apart of it.
2) Not sure what you mean with this one.
3) Talisa isn’t intimidated by Kelli. She is not wanting to be third wheel on Kayla and Carter love fest. So she was excusing herself. Kelli realizing this is reacting to being basically left without a way to excuse herself.
4) It is but while Kelli ahs been a little for awhile now actually interacting with people in her old life and adjusting to her new life as a little with people from her old life is not something she has had to do.
In some ways it would be easier for Kelli in a generitech city.
5) It is somewhat but in theory Kayla could release Kelli into Talisa’s care. It would be more responsible choice then Dayton with Jordan.
Talisa is more nervous about such a thing then Kelli seems to be. Although I probably would be too as if Kelli got hurt in such a situation Talisa woudl feel horrible.
6) Well Kayla would be looking for an escape. Talisa would be excited. Talisa loved a good kelli hangout.
7) No, it hasn’t dropped. Its just acknowledgement that Kelli isn’t the same person she was. It’s like idolozing superman and then learning he actually clark kent.
8) That is true in life.
9) Kelli isn’t crazy about being considered Kayla’s little is the problem and going through life as Kayla’s little. Even if it is the reality.
10)it would have been comical if it caused Talisa to stop. But i thought the imagery worked well.
11) she sure is. She doesn’t want to be third wheel on a date.
12) Kayla never thought beyond the joke. As i wanted her personality to be a bit dorky at times. She isn’t as much of a thinker as Sara.
12.2) Sometimes you have to be your own biggest fan. It was Terrel Owens who famously said “I Love me, some me”
13) She wasn’t intending to embarass Kayla. It was rather factual. But i can understand how it would come off that way. it probably was a bit mean spirited.
14) Carter is a good guy or atleast tries to be. Kelli is on some level happy for Kayla but shes also hurt because she feels like she was kept in the dark.
15) Kelli expected better and doesn’t care what other guardians. She cares about what Kayla does.
16) That is Kelli’s viewpoint. SHe wasn’t purposefully trying to bury her sister. She was trying to uplift her by taking her places and getting her out and Kayla always pushed back on it. You can only push back so many times.
16.2) time will tell but im sure it didn’t help there relationship.
1) Even if Jordan wasn’t brought on the date, Sara and Chloe would often still come home to him in his terrarium. I agree Kelli’s apprehension is valid.
2) That is seemed Kelli spared time to negatively assess Talisa’s lack of social life while dealing with this turmoil.
3) Oh, lol. I thought she was lying to Kelli not Kayla
4) Kelli would thrive in a little City, depending on how much she’d miss Kayla, Greg 2.0 and Judy… Maybe even Talisa
5) Talisa is a much better choice than Dayton, especially since Kelli consented to being with Talisa. But, as much as I hate defending Sara’s decision, When Jordan was with Dayton she was always supervised by a licenced Guardian, we don’t know where Talisa would take Kelli or if she’d be anywhere near a Guardian.
Talisa being nervous about taking Kelli is valid, we saw from Dayton that over confidence isn’t always good.
6) Good for Talisa, but the role reversal is still funny to me.
7) Oh, I’d have compared it to idolising superman than watching him lose his powers.
9) I can imagine anyone being relegated to someone else’s pet would feel the same
11) The funny thing is, if she’d stayed with Kelli and hung out with her a few metres away from Carter and Kayla she wouldn’t be third-wheeling and Kelli wouldn’t have to either.
12.1&2) It’s a fun little quirk for her
13) Just because it’s honest doesn’t make it kind or mean it needs to be said.
14) I can imagine that, I’ve been annoyed at things being kept from me in the past, and things being kept from Jordan and other littles too.
16.1) I agree, Kelli was just living her life as she saw fit, she wasn’t a bully or a bitch (that we know of) and Kayla being shy quietly got annoyed at how people saw her as Kelli’s sister, rather than enforcing a perception of herself has Kayla.
16.2) I hope it’s not too hard to get over
I liked the I idea of Kelli hang with Tal so I tried to make a AI pic lol
I like that Kelli looks like a Barbie Doll. Its a bit ironic.
I tried to make them size accurate per your size descriptions and sometimes the pics show the subjects to small and Gronk AI seems to be super accurate if you give it specific instructions. I did a few test pics to verify the sizing with description structure.
yeah, AI is odd. I tried doing my renders using it in chat GPT but never got one I liked so I started with Daz. Only issue with Daz is the extra stuff cost money lol so my renders are slowly WIP as I figure out what I need and when i can get them
