“Ellie, can you move me to the habitat, please? I want to watch some TV,” Jordan asked as Ellie lowered her hand before walking over to the habitat and setting Jordan down inside, though she left the lid off.
“What happened to the couch you picked out for his habitat?” Ellie asked, leaning in for a closer look at Jordan’s miniature home.
“Oh, I had it shipped to Chloe’s. Mom was getting suspicious of how much I’ve been spending on Jordy,” Sara said, applying her makeup as she got ready for school.
“Why don’t you just have Chloe grab something from Generitech?” Ellie asked, leaving Jordan to pick out a show in peace.
“I don’t want her to think I’m just using her for Little products. I’ve never asked Chloe for anything when it comes to Jordy. She offered to buy him that collar as a symbol of her feelings for me. Besides, I make my own money. I’ve gotten everything for Jordy without having to dip into the Charity Fund for when she transforms into her Little form,” Sara said, her voice edged with defiance.
Ellie hesitated before speaking again. “Don’t you think it’s time to maybe let that go? I get she was a bitch, and she went way too far with the bullying. She always has. And look, I should have stepped in and shut her up, and—”
“Ellie, you don’t need to apologize again for a situation you did nothing wrong in. I’m better now. Really. And I have Jordy now. You and Chloe have been with me every step of the way through my recovery, and I appreciate it,” Sara interrupted gently.
Ellie sighed, folding her arms. “I can’t help feeling like I let you down. But really, what good is buying Charity going to do? I mean, isn’t her being a Little enough for you?”
Sara closed her compact mirror and set it down with a little more force than necessary. “Ellie, her mission in life was making my life miserable. It’s poetic justice for her to be my Little,” she said firmly.
Ellie frowned, watching Sara carefully. “I just don’t want you to become all Maisy over this. And by the way, I still don’t approve of you hanging out with her. Just be happy being you. You have Jordy, who is a great Little.”
Sara exhaled slowly, twirling a lock of her hair between her fingers. Her grip tightened slightly before she let it drop. “So much of my recovery was focused on getting my revenge on her. All the hard work, all the therapy. The countless hours I’ve spent accepting who I am physically and mentally and being able to look at myself and be okay with that again. I just don’t know who I’d be if I gave up my reason to get better.”
Ellie reached over, squeezing Sara’s shoulder gently. “You have more than just Charity revenge to live for. Look at me. You have Chloe, Jordy, a family who loves you, and most importantly, me.” She grinned before her expression softened. “You have a future, your streams, your fans. There are so many things you’ve said you want to do. None of those things involve Charity, but all of those things could be gone if you let her win. And you let her win by thinking she still has control over you.”
Sara opened her mouth to argue, but no words came out. The fight inside her flickered, unsure of whether to reignite or fizzle out completely. She clenched her jaw, looking at her reflection in the mirror as if searching for an answer she couldn’t quite grasp.
“Sara,” Jordan called from his habitat. His voice was small, but his words carried weight. “Your want for revenge is still her having control over your life, your thoughts, and your wants.”
He hesitated before continuing. “I know what it’s like to feel powerless, to feel like someone else holds all the cards. But holding onto that anger… it doesn’t make you stronger. It just keeps you chained to her.”
Sara stared at Jordan, his tiny frame barely visible from where she sat, but his words echoed in her mind. She glanced at Ellie, who nodded in quiet encouragement.
“I know it’s hard, and I know you’ve worked hard for it,” Ellie continued, her voice quieter now. “But just let it go. Let Jordy be enough when it comes to Littles. You love your wittle man.”
Sara sighed, staring at her reflection again. She ran a hand through her hair, smoothing out the strands as if doing so would ease the storm raging inside her.
“Maybe you’re right,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. But as the words left her lips, she wasn’t entirely sure if she believed them yet.
Revenge is the most worthless of causes.
Also one of the most prevalent causes generally they spurn change
Unless you do it right. I got a Karen at work fired in revenge by reporting her to all relevent bosses, it felt great.
Damn that was deep
Sometimes that’s what is needed
She still has a very, very long way to go if she is serious that charity was her only reason to better herself. Jordan’s right, it’s pretty much saying that Charity still holds power over her actions and is controlling her, even indirectly
Well it was a main reason not the only reason.
Sara does still go to therapy and such. So she is still getting help and moving forward. Jordan is her support little. That is an actual thing. It’s kind of his job similar to how Bryce teaches
Yeah, i’d just be concerned with her pursuit of getting charity as primary motivation. ideally therapy shouldn’t have a static goal like that, at least in my experience. otherwise you’ll hit a goal, stop trying, and fall back into the bad habits\problems.
would love for Jordan to get real support little training classes too. even some 1-on-1 time with the therapist without sarah in the future, though idk the frequency she visits her.
although in this specific example her bad habit was charity tormenting her which wouldn’t reoccur. Since her Trauma is all stemmed from a specific source. If said source is eliminated her prior state before that would just be happy teen.
But also not sure that’s how it works. As I’ve never looked into this specific scenario Sara is in. So I’ve just been winging it. Being she has a support system she would probably not revert but hard to say.
I can’t speak to what sara is going through, but my experience in therapy’s mostly taught me that just removing the problem doesn’t undo the issue. Something else will always replace said problem if you didn’t learn good coping skills, exercises, distractions, etc.
so even if she did get charity as a little and got her revenge and whatnot, who’s to say there won’t be another charity down the road that isn’t going to be a little? Plus there’s the post trauma she’d have to deal with, and it’d be a lot harder to move past with a smaller charity constantly there as a reminder of what she went through. I’m not super knowledgeable about DA or CA, but I’m fairly certain that removing the source doesn’t remove the problem necessarily. It makes the person or child safer, for sure, but even with good support, the goal is a moving target. which is why I wouldn’t say getting charity as a little should be her goal for recovery. Her actions can be the motivation, but sarah’s goal should be real acceptance of herself and acknowledging what she went through sucks, was a problem, she has flaws that she needs to be aware of how to manage, etc. which for me personally is still extremely difficult lol
I think that’s why I’m not super anti-sarah. She’s a very relatable character for me in a few ways and honestly if I was in her postion, I’d have probably done the same thing at 16. lord knows it was a constant thought
That is very good insight that I can utilize within the story as Its not an area I’m very knowledgeable in. So i will probably use some of that in crafting what happens.
Ironically I have some experience in this and having a animal in your life you are close to helps a lot. Trauma is a big driver for success and Sara will be motivated to channel her past pain into what ever her passion is with a mate like Chole and Jordan being part of her support I think.
I think Jordan should have asked to be lifted up to hug her face and give her a kiss on the cheek after his wise words. In that world, getting a little that you hate so much would be dangerous because she could easily lash out and kill her with that built up anger and not even be thinking strait. Ellie is a good person and friend and Sera and even Jordan is lucky to have her.
1) “Ellie, can you move me to the habitat, please? I want to watch some TV,” good manners and autonomy
2) “What happened to the couch you picked out for his habitat?” – “Oh, I had it shipped to Chloe’s. Mom was getting suspicious of how much I’ve been spending on Jordy,” So? It’s Sara’s money she’s spending on him, why does Tiff care?
3.1) “I’ve gotten everything for Jordy without having to dip into the Charity Fund for when she transforms into her Little form,” – “Don’t you think it’s time to maybe let that go?” I don’t want Sara to let it go, but I do want Sara to not get Charity. I want Charity to be free from Sara after she shrinks, so Sara can feel the loss of not getting what she wants, I want Charities Guardian to set up an Instagram where they post about Charity being spoiled and pampered daily and Sara has to watch and seeth.
3.2) “I get she was a bitch, and she went way too far with the bullying.” just like Sara to Jordan, and Sara with the rest of you to that Hellen girl, go on…
3.3) “And look, I should have stepped in and shut her up, and—” you have no guarantee that would have worked, though I do get why she’d feel guilty.
4) “I’m better now. Really” That’s why she’s still on her happy pills.
5) “what good is buying Charity going to do? I mean, isn’t her being a Little enough for you?” I do think Sara buying charity isn’t a good idea, She’s already abusive to Jordan who she supposesly loves, but that abuse doesn’t cross the legal line, I doubt she’d have the same restraint with Charity who she hates.
6) “Ellie, her mission in life was making my life miserable. It’s poetic justice for her to be my Little,” she said firmly.” Oh Sara, you were never that important to Charity, and she’s still given power by you making her that important to yourself.
7.1) “I just don’t want you to become all Maisy over this. And by the way, I still don’t approve of you hanging out with her. ” What did Maisy do that Ellie’s against? I’d have thought Saddie would be her go-to example of a bad Guardian.
7.2) “Just be happy being you. You have Jordy, who is a great Little.” good advice from Ellie (though telling a depressed person to “just be happy” isn’t a good start)
8) “So much of my recovery was focused on getting my revenge on her” that is really pathetic, even for Sara. That’s the comic book villians motivation/origin story. Though part of me thinks it’s a huge part of why she’s so accepting of the view that Littles are lesser beings.
9.1) “You have more than just Charity revenge to live for. Look at me. You have Chloe, Jordy, a family who loves you, and most importantly, me.” Ellie’s being great in this episode. Giving Sara the best advice.
9.2) None of those things involve Charity, but all of those things could be gone if you let her win. And you let her win by thinking she still has control over you.” Charity definitely still lives rent free in Sara’s head.
10) “Your want for revenge is still her having control over your life, your thoughts, and your wants.” Very true, I’m glad Jordan’s chiming in.
10.1) “I know what it’s like to feel powerless, to feel like someone else holds all the cards.” literally how he lives with Sara now.
10.2) “But holding onto that anger… it doesn’t make you stronger. It just keeps you chained to her.” In his case he’s gonna be chained to Sara anyway, so he may as well hold that anger.
11) “But just let it go. Let Jordy be enough when it comes to Littles. You love your wittle man.” telling someone to “just let it go” always pisses me off, even someone as evil as Sara. She’s not gonna benefit from holding on to that anger, but it won’t be as simple as “just letting go” if she doesn’t.
1) Yup. Jordan is in his space which is Sara’s room. So he does feel more confident in Sara’s room then he would other places.
2) Sara doesn’t get access to all the money she makes. She only gets a portion of it while the majority of it is put into a bank account until she turns 18. Her parents also want to teach her fiscal responsibility. So if she is spending frivolously they would talk to her about it.
3) Sara would probably block that Instagram user. There is no guarantee sara gets charity its just a want by her part. Wants and reality don’t always meet. People don’t always get there eway.
3.2) Helen was Mallory, if I recall correctly. It was because she was making a date with Gavin. I mean if you are trying to elicit an affair be prepared for the consequences. Its not like she didn’t know one of three most popular people at school is dating. Sara also has defended and stopped Kayla’s bullying. She also stopped Jordan from getting bullied by Tamara. Jordan also never said what he thought was happening to him was bullying. So there is also some positives you are not presenting.
3.3) that is fair. It is possible and likely it wouldn’t have worked. As canonically Charity is that kind of person. She is a bully and an equal-opportunity hater. Where charity has derived a level of satisfaction from knowing she broke Sara to the point she did. She the kind of person who would tell Sara you are such a mess up that you couldn’t even follow through on your depression correctly as you survived. So we still have to put up with you and look at your fat ugly face.
4) Well she is better then she was. She’s not fully healed, but often depression like that is like alcoholism. Its just days since last incident and each day is another step.
5) The only person who thinks buying charity is a good idea is probably Sara. Although if she was in a situation I’m sure people would step in. As there are people Sara would listen to if they really put there foot down. Ellie being one of them. Chloe another.
6) That is all true. Charity only thought of Sara when she could see her. If Sara was out of sight. she rarely if ever thought of her without some kind of reason.
7) Maisy didn’t do anything specifically against Ellie. Maisy can be a bit of a witch if she doesn’t like you.
7.2) THe thought process was i wanted the advice to be age appropriate if it was to good of advice and had maturity and wisdom behind it like the advice i’d probably give Sara it woudln’t have felt as age authentic. So I added in a bit just be happy part for the effect you highlighted.
8) Well its not exclusively why she recovered.if there were 4 tentpoles holding the tent up. Getting charity as a little would have been one of her tent poles but she did have other reasons. Charity being a little/infected and being so mean to her would naturally sully her opinion a bit. I agree with you that is probably a factor in her view of littles. If she views herself above them in a way she is protecting herself as they aren’t equal to her so how could the words hurt kind of thing.
9) she thinks of her as a sister. They are super close. So she does authentically care what happens and wants to give good advice to Sara.
9.2) She does, but i think that’s true of most anyone who has been bullied.
10) He is the support little. So its only right. HE does take his job seriously.
10.2) I don’t think Jordan feels that way about Sara. He’s not angry towards her. Someone had to be his guardian and Sara is probably better then most. Ther would be better fits but they are making it work.
11) I agree.
1) Good to see.
2) That makes sense.
3.1) Personally, I can see Sara being the kind of person who couldn’t help herself. But, new idea Charity’s Guardian is a Guardian live streamer and influencer, one who’s popularity matches or surpasses Sara’s, so Sara is constantly compared to Charities Guardian, not usually favourably, So Charity can’t truly be avoided. Charity opens up about Sara “picking on her for being vulnerable” and because she spoke first public opinion sides with her, and Sara is fighting an uphill battle.
Sara does have a nasty habit of typically getting her way.
3.2) Helen was all of them, it was for Mal, but they all participated (And if eliciting an affair is so taboo to them Gavin, Sara and Chloe should all be out) . Sara has defended Jordan from bullying when she’s not choosing to let it happen, but nothing she’s defended him from is anything she hadn’t already done to him, making her a hypocrite too.
3.3) Charity could potentially have added Ellie to her victim list. (Does Charity know about Sara’s suicide attempt?)
4) when was the last incident?
5) I hope she just fails, tries and fails, isn’t told “no” or talked out of it, and I hope she’s devastated.
6) That is all true. Charity only thought of Sara when she could see her. If Sara was out of sight. she rarely if ever thought of her without some kind of reason.
7.1) So can all girls and women, Maisy’s not special.
7.2) It was a bit wiser than I’d expect from a 15yo, but they do tend to seem wiser than their age.
8) Huge part but not whole reason makes sense. I’d wager her other four tent poles would be
A) Charity being vulnerable and the vengeance that allows
B) Love and support of her friends and family (Maybe having her fans to a lesser extent)
C) Therapy and medications (Jordan would be included here)
D) Leaving Kaitlyn for healthy relationship with her affair partner Chloe
Sullying her opinion makes sense, perhaps it could have been neutralised if Gavin was open about his vulnerability, but I don’t blame him for keeping quiet.
9.1) Sara’s lucky to have her.
9.2) Indeed, I’m not fully over some of it, and I graduated in 2017
10.1) I meant he feels powerless and like other’s have all the cards.
10.2) I know, he has felt that way, but he just lets it go, never addresses anything, It can make it a bit hard to root for him at times, to be honest.
Besides…. we all know Ellie gets Charity when she shrinks. It is known, this is the way, and I have spoken. LOL
lol, you heard it here first folks. That’s a wrap I guess
Nah Dayton gets Charity once she completes guardian training. Since I have decreed it, so shall it be done.
lol, now its competition
Darn right it is.
It should be Maisy, Charity deserves no better.
I will be curious what people think when it happens.
