Jordan scanned the offerings available to him. The Little content selections weren’t bad. surprisingly, they were of equal quality to the standard Generiflix offerings. The only difference was that the actors were Littles, and the narratives were tailored to their unique perspective. Having watched a few shows over the past week, Jordan hated to admit that the programming was just as compelling as traditional television, if not better in some cases.
After flipping through the options, he finally settled on a series that followed a bounty hunter-slash-trader struggling to make ends meet in a fictionalized space system. The writing was sharp, the special effects impressively detailed. Because the sets were scaled down, they could be made procedurally with stunning detail, lending an authenticity that even big-budget productions sometimes lacked. Practical effects, thanks to their size, were much cheaper to implement, though the digital effects still carried the same costs as mainstream productions.
As the opening credits rolled, Jordan let himself sink into the familiar comfort of distraction. The hum of the artificial engine noise from the show blended with the faint chatter of Sara and Ellie in the background, their voices rising and falling as they continued their morning routine. Having Ellie here was a double-edged sword—on one hand, it meant more teasing, but on the other, it meant Sara was too distracted to rope him into her usual morning rituals. A small blessing, really.
Twenty or so minutes passed before he noticed the subtle shift in light above him. A shadow crept over his habitat, and instinctively, he looked up.
Sara’s massive form loomed over him, her familiar, mischievous smirk playing at her lips. Even though he had grown accustomed to his scale, moments like these still sent an unconscious chill down his spine. It was impossible to ignore the sheer size difference when she towered above him like an affectionate deity.
“How is my wittle man doing?” she cooed, her voice dripping with playful endearment.
Before Jordan could respond, her fingers descended, gently ruffling his hair with an affectionate tussle. He let out an exaggerated sigh, swatting at her hand in mock protest, though they both knew resistance was futile, but his actions were intended to be playful.
“Enjoying your tiny space adventures?” she teased, tilting her head as she glanced at the screen. “Looks intense.”
Jordan crossed his arms, trying and failing to suppress a smirk. “It’s actually really well-made. Better than some of the stuff you watch.”
Sara gasped in feigned offense. “Excuse me? My taste is impeccable.”
Jordan raised an eyebrow. “You willingly watched four seasons of Beach House Catfights.”
Sara scoffed. “That show is a social experiment. A deep study of human interaction.”
“It’s people throwing drinks at each other and crying over stolen boyfriends.”
“Exactly. Drama in its purest form.”
Jordan rolled his eyes but couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped him. Sara grinned, clearly pleased with herself, before giving him one last affectionate poke to the side which was filled with love.
She reached into a nearby drawer and pulled out a neatly folded set of clothing, his school uniform. “Alright, fun’s over. Time to get dressed, wittle man.”
Jordan groaned. “Ugh. Do I have to?”
Sara smirked. “Yes, unless you want to explain to the school why you’re showing up in pajamas.”
He sighed dramatically, grabbing the tiny set of clothes. The uniform was tailored perfectly to his new size. something Sara had taken great care to have custom-tailored to the schools specifications. The fabric was high quality, but Jordan still bristled at the idea of wearing it.
“You know, I really don’t think school is all that necessary for someone my size,” he muttered.
Ellie, still lounging on Sara’s bed, snorted. “Nice try. Littles go to school just like everyone else. No skipping unless we do.”
Jordan pulled the uniform on, still grumbling under his breath. He knew there was no getting out of it. Sara had made it clear early on that he was expected to continue his education no matter how small he had become. Although he knew it was more that she just liked having him with her and he was her service little.
Once dressed, he sighed, looking up at Sara. “Happy now?”
Sara beamed, brushing a stray hair into place. “Very. Now let’s get going before we’re late.”
Jordan muttered something about unfair power dynamics as Sara reached down, scooped him up, and carried him toward the door. As much as he grumbled, there was a part of him that had grown used to this routine. Maybe even, though he’d never admit it, found some comfort in it.
Sara is wrong here. It’s up to the guardian whether or not the little goes to school with them.
At this point in the timeline it is a guardian decision. Sara’s view obviously comes from her perspective where she wants Jordan with her and integrated into her life.
I mean Jordan isn’t wrong pre say like society clearly lacks to see the value of little doing jobs ( meaningful work I mean) but they do need education but most of it it is just learning to be pets at the least and training dummy’s for new guardians at the highest possible at this point in time
Unless the president makes some new acts to have Littles do more in society which I doubt.
I feels like Littles despite how good or bad their living conditions are they still like the key thing that normals have ( a sense of purpose) not fully but it’s still a major thing for them clearly
Anyway great stuff
I can’t see the current adminstration doing much to help littles as far as them doing more in society. They are kind of where they are.
THere is testing and things for littles through generitech which comes along but its more skill based training as you saw in Madison’s world with Brooklyn’s little getting trained.
0) This episode is a bit lighter than last. I think I needed that.
1.1) “The Little content selections weren’t bad. surprisingly, they were of equal quality to the standard Generiflix offerings” that’s a surprise, I’d have thought with littles being such a new thing they’d hardly have any quality options.
1.2) “The only difference was that the actors were Littles, and the narratives were tailored to their unique perspective” that would be nice for him to see.
2) “Because the sets were scaled down, they could be made procedurally with stunning detail, lending an authenticity that even big-budget productions sometimes lacked. Practical effects, thanks to their size, were much cheaper to implement, though the digital effects still carried the same costs as mainstream productions” interesting development, I’d have thought little TV would be more expensive to make, like little everything else.
3) “Having Ellie here was a double-edged sword—on one hand, it meant more teasing, but on the other, it meant Sara was too distracted to rope him into her usual morning rituals. A small blessing, really” worth it, honestly.
4) “Even though he had grown accustomed to his scale, moments like these still sent an unconscious chill down his spine. It was impossible to ignore the sheer size difference when she towered above him like an affectionate deity.” he’ll likely get used to that.
5) “Excuse me? My taste is impeccable.” – Jordan raised an eyebrow. “You willingly watched four seasons of Beach House Catfights.” I’m imagining hot women fighting while wearing bikinis and frankly I gotta agree with Sara, that sounds like impeccable taste.
6) “Alright, fun’s over. Time to get dressed, wittle man.” – “Ugh. Do I have to?” I’m relating to Jordan so well, school sucks.
7) “Yes, unless you want to explain to the school why you’re showing up in pajamas.” somehow, I doubt they’d really care what a little wears. Emily and Dani may notice because it’s Jordan but other than that I’m assuming apathy.
8) “The uniform was tailored perfectly to his new size. something Sara had taken great care to have custom-tailored to the schools specifications” How did she get a custom tailored uniform that quickly? I assumed the school just sold little uniforms.
9) “Nice try. Littles go to school just like everyone else. No skipping unless we do.” for now, we know in the near future enrolling littles in school won’t be a thing.
10) “Sara had made it clear early on that he was expected to continue his education no matter how small he had become.” which seems so shit given that he’s a college graduate.
11) “Very. Now let’s get going before we’re late.” Can’t be late on a day you don’t intend to do fully.
12.1) “Jordan muttered something about unfair power dynamics as Sara reached down, scooped him up” I don’t know what he said, but he has a point.
12.2) “there was a part of him that had grown used to this routine. Maybe even, though he’d never admit it, found some comfort in it” routines breed predictability, which would be a comfort to him.
0) I tried to not layer on mutliple heavy episodes ontop of one anohter.
1) They have little reason to skimp. As they want to provide a quality service regardless.
1.2) Releteable expierences would be helpful.
2) The thought process was building small sets in detail isn’t that costly for a production company it would be levels of magnatude cheaper hten building a full sized set piece to depict a scene. Most little TV content is made by generitech. So they they have procesess in place and maintian a level of quality.
3) Jordan definately feels that way.
4) Yeah the perspective changes would become normal after awhile.
5) that was what I had in mind basically when I thought of it.
6) Especially after you find a good show to watch.
7) Well if they saw him they would say something. Any registered student is expected to be in unform. Sara did register jordan so he woudl be expected to be in attire.
8) The school does have little uniforms that are premade but Sara wanted one that was specifically sized to Jordan. She just want to a regular tailor with his dimensions. Since its one Sara and her friends use regularly tehy just did it at cost as the advertising would be worth it. As then other littles at her school would hopefully see it and place orders.
9) yup. that train comes to an end just like Cindy always wanted.
10) It is normal though if you move your degree doesn’t always transfer depending on you profession so becoming a new speceis would be similar to me. I do agree it sucks.
11) Well they could be late to the classes they were planning to go to. As they are intending to do a partial day.
12) lol I picture you being Jordan’s hype man.
12.2) I agree predictability would be helpful in getting used to his new day to day life with Sara.
A)Given the the school dynamic of littles I think in Saras case, Jordan needs to be there always with Sara as a support little but not doing school stuff but rubbing her neck to relax her and talk nice soothing words to encourage her in the classes she is in and complement her on good grades or looking good physically or her hair or cloths to keep her in a positive mood during school which is his real job.
B) I think there should be Little school that goes up levels to a top skill level for stuff that littles should be doing per the government like support little training like Jordan should be in that teaches proper finger nail and toe nail painting classes and in the advances classes they teach the little to draw pictures on the nails to give the guardian custom nails that they can show off. Also teach proper neck and foot masseuses to keep their guardian in good heath. Also any other special body events they can do for their guardian and also regular body maintenance. Then of course there would be the house maintenance littles being taught how to clean the bathrooms the right way with the right tools and Kitchen cleaning also with the right tools. And there also would be advanced classes in these. Per the way the world is set up I would think this would be available to busy guardians.
C) I keep up on how Hollywood has crashed and burned and of course making woke content people don’t want is part of it but also the movies have got really expensive because in Disney marvels case they now rely on CGI so much and not practical effects that they have gotten lazy and make the movie then try to make changes through CGI which makes the CGI not match the original shoots and they don’t like doing reshoots because it costs money. Unless like the live action Snow white movie and they are trying to polish a turd with reshoots lol. So it makes sense the little productions are better and cheaper because they are being made like the old star wars movies with real effects and I am sure they have their own CGI little team for the small amount they need. perfect combo.
I agree with you that Sara wants Jordan with her and that does cloud her view as she intends to fully make JOrdan a part of her life. So he is going to be carted around with her. She for the most part doesn’t intend to just leave him at home like we saw in Madison’s world.
The two have different styles but also different wants and expectations from their littles.
